I am trying to turn radio buttons to show images based off the label of the radio button input instead of using radio buttons.I have to use only javascript for this and I am at a loss.
I have a working registration form and now i want to add this wonderful jquery form valitation plugin to validate the user input before sending the form.
So far so good all is working and btw. it was easy to setup even for some one with very poor js skill.
My question is now: can i hide the label for the input fields and dropdowns, i mean the labels i have in the form - not the error labels created by the jquery form valitation plugin, when the jquery generated labels appear? Like a switch show the default labels when no error and hide if an error?
When i use this code, then on submit / on error all the labels are gone because it hides all the labels. So far i understand my own code but i have no idead how to manage to just hide specific labels, the labels with errors? I took a look into the jquery.validate.js file and found on line 596 the "showLabel" function. Maybe i have to rewrite this one but as i wrote before: i have no idea where to start.
How can I make an image label that when I clicked will change from one label to another.
Let say I have index.html where my label is displayed. Then I have label01.jpg to label20.jpg stored on label sub folder.
What I want is to be able to change my label one at a time from label01.jpg to label20.jpg everytime i click the label. then go back to label01.jpg after label20.jpg
For illustration purpose, see image below. I want the label to change every click until I got the label right for the video screen. I have 20 video screen in one page and I need to change the labels depending on the video.
Actually a more preferred solution is for the script to cycle through all the pictures on my label folder so that if I have new labels I only need to dump it in the folder and it will become available.
I use scriptaculous to retrieve the hotel names and area names from database in this page. My question is where it says step 3, Search for hotel, chain or location!. Type in syd for example and you see how it retrieves the values from database and shows them underneath. It works fine and the list is generated beautifully. Now I have to add the next step which is filling this text box (from step 3 where you typed syd in) with the value (of the item clicked on). For example once you typed sydney, if you click on Sydney, I want the text field to be filled with value sydney.
I have a series of functions I need to run in order.The functions use a lot of scriptaculous effects and I need to que up the functions so that they only run when the previous one, with all of its functions, have finished running. Cause of the nature of what I'm trying to do, I can't use the queue that comes with scriptaculous.
I tried this http:[url]....how-do-i-store-javascript-functions-in-a-queue-for-them-to-be-executed-eventually, and the functions are still starting before all the effects finish.
Is it possible to pause the script in a way, until a scriptaculous effect complets? At the moment, the effects are half way through scrolling/fading, while the script continues.
i want this animation to start from the beginning but i dont know how to do it.im using scriptaculous framework. here is my animation:[URL].. and here is my code:
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript"> //fade div 1 new Effect.Fade('anim1', {duration: 1, from: 0, to: 1, afterFinish: function (one){ //after finnish 1 //after fade 1 effects
I am looking to recreate a form function like this website: [URL] What happens when you click the answer to the question the form scrolls to the next function. I would love to know how this is done. I am not a javascript developer but having looked into this the form uses scriptaculous.js and prototype.js. Is there an online form builder or a program out there that can re-create this or is it just a simple bit of javascript added onto a form?
My problem is I am making a side menu and I want it to behave like jQuery Accordion...I am not using Accordion because I want to have a "Double Accordion" a nested one if you want...
Also I'm a lot more at ease with Scriptaculous...I get how to Blind down (or Slide down) the problem is I want to create a function that will detect whether a div is down already or not...
So my question is how do I retrieve values to tell me if it's down or if it's up...
I was wondering if there is a technique in jQuery or Scriptaculous to create an effect similar to the one here Check out how the image scrolls in and out. This is currently in Flash, but I'd like to do something similar with a JavaScript library.
Not a huge issue, more of an annoyance, but when firing
Code: Effect.Appear('whatever');
it only works when
Code: display:block;
is an inline style on the target element and not when it's applied via an external style sheet. Is there a fix for this or is it just a quirk of the library?
I am working on a site that must drag and drop items, I use scriptaculous 1.8.2, effects, dragdrop.js.But now I am lost, I kan drag, i can drop and invoke the onEnd or on Drop event, but can't find it out to get the data from the dragged and the dropped element together.What are I am trying:
1) Have element that is dragable, and and element that is dropable 2) The data of the dragable must be put in an ajax request(already coded) so I can update the mysql database so that:(1)The data at the position of the dragable gets removed(2)and the position of the dropable gets filled with that dataWhat do I ask: 1) How can I call the data of the dragable? 2) How can I call the data of the dropable?
I found this script that uses Prototype and Scriptaculous to display imagesCan someone tell me if I'm able to set this so it automatically slides between images using the [sliderright] function effect.
but, if I define my_label: before the outer loop, it works just fine. Do I have to define the label earlier in the code than where it's used? For the time being, I just got the same affect as this code by setting a boolean variable before breaking and then continuing if it's true.
We have a massive java application to be made ADA compliant. We want onfocus and onblur events for each text field. The best way seems to be javascript, by cycling through all the nodes recursively after page load, and attaching the events. We already cycle through everything to set tabs. If nodename is LABEL, we should be able to use the FOR attribute, get the object referenced, and attach events on that object.
When cycling through nodes, if I get to a label I can print the attribute collection, and there is a FOR having the correct value for the associated text object. I can't get any further than that.
Maybe by reading the code you can see what I'm trying to do. When it executes "alert(''+cont.nodeName);", it displays "for". I need to display "textarea" because that's what the label is associated with. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.
