Onclick Change The Value Of Text Box - Scriptaculous
Nov 23, 2009
I use scriptaculous to retrieve the hotel names and area names from database in this page. My question is where it says step 3, Search for hotel, chain or location!. Type in syd for example and you see how it retrieves the values from database and shows them underneath. It works fine and the list is generated beautifully. Now I have to add the next step which is filling this text box (from step 3 where you typed syd in) with the value (of the item clicked on). For example once you typed sydney, if you click on Sydney, I want the text field to be filled with value sydney.
My site inventive.webs.com/ad-hoc contains lists of activities. When a user double clicks on an activity, the text will change to textbox, then double click again on the textbox to return to static text, which is so far working properly. What I want to happen next are:
1. Textbox must return back to static text when user clicks anywhere on the body. 2. When there's an existing textbox, it should return to static text when another activity list is being double clicked.
I want to use the onclick event to change an image to text. I'm working on a directory type website and want users to have to click on the image of a telephone in order to reveal the telephone number they are looking for. how do i do this? Also is there a way of tracking how many clicks each person gets?
I have a page here [url]. What I want to control is that for link on the left that is clicked I want the text to change to a particular color to highlighted it have been selected. And when another linked is clicked I want the previous linked to be reset to the normal color. How to achieve that.

Any way to update URLs on a page depending on the region selected by the user. I have 3 regions, Americas, Europe & Asia. And depending on the region selected I need to update URLs on the page for the different regions.
For example, below are the 3 possibilities for the links. domain.com/americas/product.php domain.com/asia/product.php domain.com/europe/product.php
I created 3 hyperlinks, when the user click each link, it will change the color of the text of a link. For example, when user clicks Link1, text Link1 will become red color, but Link2 and Link3 unchange. Here's my attempts, any ideas??
I know it's been addressed before but I don't understand how to implement it on my code.
I want the content on the div 'text' to change every time a new picture loads on the image array. So the first picture would trigger 'THIS IS IMAGE 1' on the 'text' div, while the second image would display 'THIS IS IMAGE 2' and so on.
Here is my code,
Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head>
I want to make it so that when I click on something, it changes what document.onclick does.
This is a simplified version of what I'm trying to do:
Code: <div id="clickme" onclick="document.onclick = function(){ alert ('This should not be alerted on the first click'); }">Click here</div>
However, as you'll notice, the alert box shows up on the first click as well. The only way I have been able to get around this behaviour is to have the first onclick execute a timer that will then set the document.onclick after 1ms, however this seems very messy to me.
I try to find working example, but no luck.I need this very simply javascript to onClick change value and second click change value back and third click change value again back and so on..
I am new to javascript, and am having an issue, which I'm sure is elementary.. I found a script for expandable content, it suffices fine. As it stands, the script toggles images onclick. For example, whence the menu is collapsed, it displays "plus.gif" next to it, and when the menu is expanded, it displays "minus.gif" next to it.
Basically, what I would like to know is, thus: how would I change it to display text icons next to it? For example, in place of "plus.gif" I should like it to display "+" as actual text. I've dredged a number of places, however, I've found nothing. Furthermore, I cannot figure out how to do it.
I have a text field (field1) already displayed on the HTML page. However, there's a link where you can add additional text fields to the page as well. When the link is clicked, the second text field is added successfully (field2), and when the link is clicked again, the third text field (field3) is added successfully. However, the third field does not add itself to the page, and the text for anything greater than a third field also isn't displayed after. This obviously means that my "fields" variable is not working right
I have a series of functions I need to run in order. The functions use a lot of scriptaculous effects and I need to que up the functions so that they only run when the previous one, with all of its functions, have finished running. Cause of the nature of what I'm trying to do, I can't use the queue that comes with scriptaculous.
I tried this http:[url]....how-do-i-store-javascript-functions-in-a-queue-for-them-to-be-executed-eventually, and the functions are still starting before all the effects finish.
Is it possible to pause the script in a way, until a scriptaculous effect complets? At the moment, the effects are half way through scrolling/fading, while the script continues.
i want this animation to start from the beginning but i dont know how to do it.im using scriptaculous framework. here is my animation:[URL].. and here is my code:
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript"> //fade div 1 new Effect.Fade('anim1', {duration: 1, from: 0, to: 1, afterFinish: function (one){ //after finnish 1 //after fade 1 effects
I am looking to recreate a form function like this website: [URL] What happens when you click the answer to the question the form scrolls to the next function. I would love to know how this is done. I am not a javascript developer but having looked into this the form uses scriptaculous.js and prototype.js. Is there an online form builder or a program out there that can re-create this or is it just a simple bit of javascript added onto a form?
My problem is I am making a side menu and I want it to behave like jQuery Accordion...I am not using Accordion because I want to have a "Double Accordion" a nested one if you want...
Also I'm a lot more at ease with Scriptaculous...I get how to Blind down (or Slide down) the problem is I want to create a function that will detect whether a div is down already or not...
So my question is how do I retrieve values to tell me if it's down or if it's up...
