Code A Feature For Website Using DHTML Where The Person Viewing The Website?
Dec 29, 2005
I'm trying to code a feature for my website using DHTML where the person viewing the website can rotate between viewing the positive/negative points of the website being reviewed. This example was in the publication called Using HTML 4 by Lee Anne Phillips. Code:
I advertise on the internet and they want me to link my webpage to their webpage with an dhtml code...Then they will list my website on their page.. I use geo cities page builder for my webpage.
My company uses a software to manage and collect data for equipment. They have a dedicated server to host the software and an internal website that shows all of this data. Though it is an internal website, it can be accessed externally. The website displays data by taking a snapshot of the data from the software and displaying it as a jpeg. It refreshes itself every 30 seconds or so. Here's the problem: When viewing the website externally, the jpeg that shows the data doesn't show because for some reason the webpage thinks you are viewing the site internally, therefore it is trying to pull the image from an internal directory, I think. Now I am familiar with HTML but not with javascript, and the site uses javascript to pull the snapshot image on to the webpage everytime it refreshes.
I have a ajax program on a page on website A. And I need to let it talk to a program on website B. I tried to put website B into the url of the parameter but it doesn't work.It gives me a "[objet XMLHttpRequest]" error.here is the code on website A:
I have been developing JavaScript for websites on and off for about a year now, and have recently been working on a website project with a couple friends (the url). The project is about done and I think I'm ready to start telling everyone about it, but I thought I'd have some coders with more experience go through my code and suggest improvements that can no doubt be made. I've tested with the Error Console and run it through JSLint, so there shouldn't be too many worries there. It uses jQuery with no extensions. The code is fairly small so it shouldn't be too much of a hassle, only a couple hundred lines, nonetheless I won't post such a conglomeration here unless it is explicitly requested.
w3schools has ' Try it Yourself ' tab when visitors can edit code for tutorial.i wanna doing this type of function and i have already done but only a problem facing. An additional code Website Analytic Code always appears in my ' Try It Yourself ' textarea field.how can i avoid this additional code?
I was wondering if there were a snippet that I could add to my JavaScript code that would alert me when the .js file has been executed remotely?
Basically I want to be able to tell which websites have my script on them, so maybe something I could encode with jscrambler that would send me an email message with the url that the code is being run from or better yet if I could set up some code on a website of mine that would show all the urls that have had the .js executed on them?
I am doing this because I have some codes which I ask my partners not to give out and I would like to be aware of any sites that are running my .js file.
I am more than willing to give FB ad coupons, adwords vouchers or a paypal donation if anyone can help.
My website was recently ftp hacked and a file inserted into it - js.php - which seems to be some sort of advertising spam programme. Having spotted the file I have renamed it to hide it but lots of other sites are still referring into my site looking for this php file. What I would like to do is to *just* open a java alert box on the referring sites to alert the users that the site has been hacked and that they should notify the webmaster so that he can fix his site. The line referring into my site is -
I'm somewhat experienced in coding but I'm not the best. I've been trying to figure this out forever and I'm beat. I am trying to insert a thickbox popup. I am trying to use a Iframed popup code. This one as follows:
I have a CSS driven zoom feature which shrinks a large image down to a specified size and when hovered over, the image enlarges to its full size. I need to be able to either make it stay opened (enlarged) when clicked, unless it is clicked to close OR to have the hovered (enlarged) image on a time delay to stay open for a specified amount of time.
I have already tried 2 scripts that I've found, but they are very over-complicated for what I need.
I thought, I'd only need to put something in the <a> tag or <img> tag, but I'm so new to Javascript and it is wearing me so out that I'm exhausted.
I did, however, get the effect that I wanted when I applied a:Active, instead of a:Hover) - It's just that can't get the image to close upon a second click.
My guess is that I need a js with an if open then onclick close it - but I'm not sure how to construct it or exactly where it wiill go.
Here is the CSS that operates the zoom (external CSS):
Advanced DHTML Dropdown List component (Javascript,ASP,.NET,PHP) enhances usability of large dropdown lists with type & select feature. It suggests possible matches for entries you type in the input box. Works in all browser with DIV, CSS and JavaScript support: IE5+, Netscape6+, Mozilla, Opera. The script allows full customization with style sheets, single and multiple select mode. Code:
I was wondering if there was a way to view the html code that javascript produced since viewing the source code shows the javascript if statements for netcrape and IE etc.
I'm not exactly sure as to whether this question should be posted here or on the php forum, but I think it mainly has to do with fancybox's zoom feature. My problem is this.
I'm doing SEO for an already established site and this site has a features area with about three different options that use the fancybox zoom script. These boxes all contain pertinent information (SEO heavy) about each option as well as links to different sites. All of the info displayed is pulled from a database via php.
I would like to be able to display the descriptions as searchable content, and be able to track how many people click on the external links, but as it is now none of this shows up on the source code. The fancybox zoom feature seems to open up another window within my main page.
My question is this. Is there anyway that I can retain fancybox and get the content to come up under the source code? Or does this maybe even sound like an unusual effect from fancybox.
I can send some code later, if anyone needs it. I just didn't want to throw everything in here all at once, because it's quite a bit of code involved.
I have this piece of javascript code, which enables me to get my Picasa photos without link back feature, in my webpage. The issue is with the hardcoded RSS url feed. I want this to be dynamically passed as a variable to the java script.I use a PHP code, where this javascript is coded.
In the below code, if I say var samples = <?php $url_code ?>, the javascript does not recognize.
I am crewating a website using HTML and Javascript. The website can be seen by everybody that has internet. Do I have to consider that some people don't have javascript enabled in their browsers?? I mean If someone has disabled javascript they wont see some part of the website.
