My problem is that users have the ability to manipulate querystrings to the point of being able to access data to which they should not have access to. The user logs in with their details and is redirected to their own data. The URL in the status bar is displayed without the &id=xxxx but in the source the &id=xxxx is present as a HREF. If the user adds &id=xxxx (Where x is any integer) they can access the data of other users. how to prevent this? To my mind, the best course of action would be to include id=xxxx in the session data and not to have it as a querystring but I would not know how to approach this.
Goal: get query string and email the sting upon users submitting form. Reason: To know what marketing ad unit the user can from Details. I need to get a query sting from the url (ex. example.htm?id=22e&moreid=99lk) and store the stings as vars and be able to pass these vars from page to page (hidden from the user) and when the user gets to a registration form and submits the form, the vars get attached to the email that is sent to me, so I know where they came from.
In my Web Form I have more than one Textbox for user input. If I hit enter to any Textbox its submitting the form. How can I prevent Form submission if users hit enter to the textbox? I want to submit the form only when user will hit submit button.
I'm trying to run a php query via ajax httprequest. In my php script I have query result. I am also creating a txt file and link to the file. The query result then becomes the link to the file like so:
[Code]...
where $counter[0] is the result of the query. How do I access $Link from the httprequest result so I end up with something like this:
I'm a WYSIWIG developer who can poke around in the code, modify existing scripts, etc. I need to prevent any user from loading a page twice, so they can only access a prize code one time. Setting a cookie is the first thing that comes to mind, which can be worked around by the motivated useras to other ways to block the user from accessing the page more than once? Something other than Javascript a better choice? Keep in mind my ideal solution is an existing bit of code that I can modify to my needs.
I am using .ajax() to access cross-domain data using JSONP. Because I need to be able to cache the data I want to use a static name for thejsonpCallback function, so I have set the jsonpCallback option in the .ajax() request. However that appears to requires a global function whereas the auto generated function didn't (well maybe it did but that was all hidden from me).
I definitely need to be able to cache the results. Ideally I wouldn't have a global function handling the data. Is there another way to do this? If not what is the best practice way to go about using a global function these days and how do I provide it with the context of the object/module it was called from - which is where the data is needed?
it looks like a simple form that uses a 'GET' method to append to the default URL the users choice of the dropdown data. I'm assuming this is sent to the sites server where it performs some PERL or CGI magic and sends back to the users page a link. The weathersite already has all the links created in Flash format.
I have compiled a list of all flash-links for the cities I want users to be able to choose on my page. Since I have no clue to what type server side code I would need to write, could I not use Javascript to take the users choice from the dropdown box and then output the correct Flash code into the appropriate point in the HTML page?
Create a webpage with a search bar, which leads to a page with two drop boxes. This search bar searches in the database (SQL) and shows a limit range of 10 results matching the input in the above dropbox, it can than be dragged down to the other box, as to select it. This I've been able to do, with a javascript I found on the internet and slightly modified in order to make the dropboxes. Now however I cannot workout the final step, I need to get the data (meaning the entry ID's of the selected database items) in a string or so in orde to process them to a new SQL query.
I know it's messy and all to send data this way, but it's what was decided on, so here's what I need to do with it. I want to take all the info from the query string and post it into the corresponding form fields in the document. So I need to somehow isolate the query string (maybe a global JS variable? maybe another method?) and then I was thinking it would work to somehow pull each piece of information delimited with &= and put them into a simple array (split() method?). Once I have the info pulled from the URL into an array, I thought I could simply update the field's value attribute with basic javascript like this:
form1.SubscriberID.value=1523;
Then, all the values would be automatically loaded into the correct form fields. But, since I'm a js newbie, I really dont know how to go about this. Ideas? Examples? Remember I'm new, so explaining every process might be in order.
I have a database site I am currently designing, and would like to use a single page with forms in external html documents to undertake admin tasks (eg. add/remove records etc.)
I have managed to successfully load the form html into the necessary div using the $.load function, however, when I try to process the form, with this code:
which asks 'process_form.php' to process the data, it doesn't seem to send the data in the form to the page. to confirm this, and whilst trying to get the system to work, the 'process_form.php' consists of 2 lines,:
echo $_GET['maker']; echo '123456';
(ie. one line to return a string literal, and one line to return one of the variables which SHOULD be passed by the form)
This results in just the 123456 string being returned.
I have tried several things: loading the script above in the head of the 'parent' html page (ie. which the form is loaded into); - does not properly fire at all;
loading the script 'in-line' in the imported html - this leads to the result given above; running the script in an external script.js file through an onsubmit directive on the form...does not appear to properly fire the script.
I want to add a comment system after my article, <form id="postform" class="postform"> is written into a MYSQL_QUERY result circle. but after post a comment, the current posted comment will be showed in all the <div class="post_comment"></div>, how to modify jquery ajax part so that the current posted comment only be showed in its own <div class="post_comment"></div>? [code]...
Is there any was to prevent ampersand from splitting up the passed data? For example if my data looks like: "This is some text&blah blah" If I pass it as data it will get split up at "&": This is some text blah blah
I'm using ajax to store values from a form into MySQL. The form contains a text field named "title" and the method I'm using to fetch and pass on the data to the backend is shown below: _data = "title=" + $( '#title' ).val(); $.ajax({ async: true, type: "POST", url: "backend.php", dataType: "json", data: _data, success: function( json ) { .... } }});
The method works fine for normal text, say "This is a sample text". However, if an ampersand is used in the title text (example: "This & That"), the post value is being truncated at the ampersand. In effect, the & in it is causing the string to be split up into two segments and the part after the & is being treated as a variable, i.e. instead of passing title = This & That What is being passed is, title = This That = * as shown by Firebug
I have a simple PHP form and to prevent double data submission, once the user has clicked 'submit', I want to disable the submit button using JavaScript. It was recommended in another thread that one could accomplish this using jQuery and the following code:
I have a question for flexigrid jquery grid control users.
I am able to display json data returned from my WCF service in my Flexigrid in my application.
The paging toolbar displays correctly and it's clear that the paging toolbar understands how I've configured it.
However, the grid is not actually implementing the paging filter on the data in the grid. For example, the paging toolbar says "Displaying 1 to 10 of 12 items". However, all 12 items are displayed in the grid.
I guess I'm missing a config setting or callback. Any idea what the problem might be?
Normal way to access data such as arraydata.INPUTID.field1 is no problem.My problem arises when trying to access data when iterating over input fields in a form. THISID is of course the id of the actual input which corresponds to the INPUTID of the data. Can't find a solution, what should stand instead of THISID in the iteration?
I have a table within a table, that is to say the table is embedded in a <tr> tag in another table and would like to extract row and cell data to make an ajax call. The table in question has several input fields and a submit button on each row. While I can find the table where the submit came from and can get the data from the <td> elements which contain data i.e.<? echo AsOfDate; ?>, I can't find the correct syntax to retrieve the data from the input fields in that same row. Can someone give me the correct syntax to retrieve the input data?
var AssetTbl = document.getElementsByTagName('table'); for (i =0; i< AssetTbl.length; i++) { if (AssetTbl[i].id == "tblAssetHx") { RowID =AssetTbl[i].rows[1].cells[0].childNodes[0].data; if (RowID == ID)
I have the below code and it works fine except the part where I need to access data.Picture. I know its a syntax error but I can't seem to understand what.
The answer to my question is probably very simple, but I'm having trouble making this work.
I want to access a local csv file, rearrange it into an array, and use the data later in my script. The logic of this in psuedocode is [code]...
Since the massaged data are in the callback, they're not available at ***. I've tried declaring the variables outside the callback as shown, but this doesn't seem to work either. I'm thinking there must be an easier way. Is there?
