JQuery :: $.load On Form Pages - Can't Get Query Data In Processing Script

I have a database site I am currently designing, and would like to use a single page with forms in external html documents to undertake admin tasks (eg. add/remove records etc.)
I have managed to successfully load the form html into the necessary div using the $.load function, however, when I try to process the form, with this code:
which asks 'process_form.php' to process the data, it doesn't seem to send the data in the form to the page. to confirm this, and whilst trying to get the system to work, the 'process_form.php' consists of 2 lines,:
echo $_GET['maker'];
echo '123456';
(ie. one line to return a string literal, and one line to return one of the variables which SHOULD be passed by the form)
This results in just the 123456 string being returned.
I have tried several things: loading the script above in the head of the 'parent' html page (ie. which the form is loaded into); - does not properly fire at all;
loading the script 'in-line' in the imported html - this leads to the result given above; running the script in an external script.js file through an onsubmit directive on the form...does not appear to properly fire the script.
I know it's messy and all to send data this way, but it's what was decided on, so here's what I need to do with it. I want to take all the info from the query string and post it into the corresponding form fields in the document. So I need to somehow isolate the query string (maybe a global JS variable? maybe another method?) and then I was thinking it would work to somehow pull each piece of information delimited with &= and put them into a simple array (split() method?). Once I have the info pulled from the URL into an array, I thought I could simply update the field's value attribute with basic javascript like this:
form1.SubscriberID.value=1523;
Then, all the values would be automatically loaded into the correct form fields. But, since I'm a js newbie, I really dont know how to go about this. Ideas? Examples? Remember I'm new, so explaining every process might be in order.
My friends and I have developed a chat service that uses Live Profiles to login to chat. The issue I am having is I need to autofill the login page with my email/password to speed up login and I was told JS would be the best way to do it, however, I can't seem to figure out how, lol. I tried sending the login info in a url and bookmarking the url to no avail. The link to the page is below.

I have the following code to load some pages into a div using the load function. When I click one of the links though, nothing happens. I have read a couple of books on JQuery and looking at the examples they give, this looks correct so I am at a loss.
I have a table with a load of stuff from a database. At the end of each row I have an edit and delete button. The delete button works magically, however I am trying to get the edit button to load data into a form above the table to be edited.

The data returned from the ajax request thingy looks like: [["user_id","1"],["username","simpsonH"],["forename","Homer"],["surname","Simpson"]]
I want the user_id to go into the user_id input, username into the username input, etc. As you can see I have not started on this, I have just got it to display the data in a div. I would like to use the same code on different pages so the data returned will be slightly different for each page. E.g. [["screen_id","1"],["name","screen-1"]]
I am using MYSQL to store articles. I wanted to present the articles in order by id, then let the user choose one of them and send the id of the article to another php page for processing, using ajax. To do so i have placed a simple form in the articles. like so:

I have a form and on submit it goes to the submission page, then writes some data, sends an email and says thank you. I then wanted this to be a pop up window so the user doesn't have to leave the main page, and add an auto close function. The problem is with a popup no variables are passed to it.
The regular code to open a new page was: Code: <form name="formRFQ" method="post" onSubmit="return formCheck(this);" action="oring_rfq.php"> This worked perfectly everything submitted fine.
Then I decided to make the window controlled by popup Code: <form name="formRFQ" method="post" onSubmit="return formCheck(this);" action="wopen('oring_rfq.php', 'popup', 640, 400); return false;"> Now the page isn't getting any variables.
I wrote an If statement to check if there are any variables in case somebody stumbled on the page without actually submitting any data. So I can tell that no variables are getting sent to the popup..

i might be tired right now but I cannot seem to figure out a good way to show an alert before processing a form, the form is not processed using AJAX, just passed on to a PHP script I might however want to implement AJAX when processing the form, hmmm, maybe that will sort me out then I guess /pär
I have a form that has two input buttons. One of the input submit buttons is being used to delete data from a database. Whenever a user clicks that delete button I am trying to make it so that a confirmation message appears that confirms that the user wants to carry on with the action. Then if they click Ok, the form should continue processing otherwise it will fail.
I'm trying to load xml using ajax call and later query the xml using a input field, the results of which should populate into a div. I would be searching by site id or title in the xml.Right now, after the ajax call nothing happens.

I have a site with a bunch of pages. Most pages have some kind of jquery-enabled behaviour. Some don't. Some pages require the loading of plugins. Not all pages require the same plugins.I have a working, single js script for all the behaviours across my site.The browser loads a page. A plugin, say fancybox, is not required for that particular page. It is, however, required for another page on my site.The browser console flags an error: fancybox, called by my script for its use on other pages, is not present.Therefore "$(something).fancybox is not a function".This probably also means that my single file will stop running on that page.I guess I could include the plugin for loading on that page. That eliminates my error. But it means an unneccessary http request and loading time. Of course, that could be helpful if this page is the first page that the visitor hits before moving on to a gallery page where fancybox is required.
I guess I could also break up my single behaviours file into seperate files for similar pages. Similar in terms of their requirements. That lightens the loading time and eliminates the error, but adds another level of complexity to maintainance. It's not really scalable.

the design has 4 menu all around : top, left, right and bottom, while content sits in the centre and for loading php file when everytime a menu is clicked. The code is working fine, but now i'd like to have some animation like fade in when the page loads. how do i do it with jquery? any starting clue perhaps?
from reading here and there understood that js does not work insuccessively .load() pages, yet I tried the proposed workarounds but could not get to work, perhaps lacking a bit of understanding about the eventhandlers, of whether there are just being not read inside the html or being ignored or... this html is being injected via .load() into a div which was injected the same way before already
I want to use AJAX for my whole site so I can load and browse trough pages without refreshing. I use a lavalamp plugin for the menu on each page and some other jquery functions for the different pages.The problem is that when I use AJAX and go to the next page, the javascript there won't be loaded and will start running when I am already on the page. I don't know if the above was clear enough, but my question is: Is there a way I could use AJAX to load the next page, run every javascript function in it and then show it to the user?
Is there any way to load the external HTML pages into a DIV with links.
For example if is click link 1 it has to load one.html, if I click link 2 it has to load two.html.
The link will be given in <a> tag itself. Example <a href="one.html">Link1</a> and <a href="two.html">Link2</a>
I tried to load using the below script but the URL has to be given inside the script. But my requirement is it has to take from the href and load in the DIV id content.
