JQuery :: Querying Xml - Load Xml Using Call And Later Query The Xml Using A Input Field?

I'm trying to load xml using ajax call and later query the xml using a input field, the results of which should populate into a div. I would be searching by site id or title in the xml.Right now, after the ajax call nothing happens.

I am having a form with two input fields. I want to enter some text in the first input field and then the second field should get the same text. Is there a simple way (maybe a plugin) to do this with jQuery? It would be perfect if I even could output all these input fields values as normal text in <p> or <li> tags.

I've got a form in which the fields are being dynamically generated based upon a db query.. it looks something like this:

I'm trying to use AJaX to populate the third input in the same row as the second input based upon a separate db query. Here's the code for that:

Whenever the focus blurs from those inputs, the third column in that row is populated with "UNKNOWN" as the value. I have confirmed that the getITRRSP.cfm file is properly retrieving and displaying the data from the db query.

I need to change the value of the input box coming from a query result.
M_ACCOUNT_NAME=rsQuery("ACCOUNTNAME")
Here's where I am having problems:
$(document).ready(function() { $('input:text[name=txtAcctName]').val(M_ACCOUNT_NAME);
});
The input box does not display the content of the M_ACCOUNT_NAME. I alreadytested M_ACCOUNT_NAME with simple response.write and it has content. I also tested that I am accessing the right element by substituting val(M_ACCOUNT_NAME) with val('HELLO'). HELLO is displaying correctly.

I have a database site I am currently designing, and would like to use a single page with forms in external html documents to undertake admin tasks (eg. add/remove records etc.)
I have managed to successfully load the form html into the necessary div using the $.load function, however, when I try to process the form, with this code:

which asks 'process_form.php' to process the data, it doesn't seem to send the data in the form to the page. to confirm this, and whilst trying to get the system to work, the 'process_form.php' consists of 2 lines,:
echo $_GET['maker'];
echo '123456';
(ie. one line to return a string literal, and one line to return one of the variables which SHOULD be passed by the form)
This results in just the 123456 string being returned.
I have tried several things: loading the script above in the head of the 'parent' html page (ie. which the form is loaded into); - does not properly fire at all;
loading the script 'in-line' in the imported html - this leads to the result given above; running the script in an external script.js file through an onsubmit directive on the form...does not appear to properly fire the script.

I was trying to display a pdf file inside a HTML div and was using JQuery $('#divid').load(url) to load the file inside a div. While other HTML files are loading properly, i am facing problem loading a pdf file.
The content does not get rendered properly, i am not sure whether this load function is supposed to handle this, but is there any other way to load a pdf inside a div?

I want to have a page that is a list of auction items, and for each list item, show a field with the current bid price - easy to do statically, but I want the current bid price field to by dynamically updated by javascript every few seconds from a php database query.I have had no trouble building this page, but what happens is that the javascript will do the php query only once and fill the current bid price field continually with the same value, even if it has been changed in the database.I have the javascript function repeating every second, so that is not the issue.My php script works nicely, so that is not the issue.Just to re-iterate, there is no problem passing a value to javascript from a php sql query, it is in trying to get javascript to refresh the value it gets from the php sql query everytime that it runs.I have been working on this for over a year, and have done loads and loads of research, but to no avail.

I'm having trouble detecting if there is value in a field when the page loads and manipulating the fields label class accordingly. Below is my code. I'm using it to display the field label inline with the field, and when the user starts typing, the label is hidden. The problem I'm having is, since this is for a login screen, if the user has typed in an incorrect password, the username still remains entered when the page reloads and I see my label stacked underneath.
How can I detect if that field has a value and apply a class to the label to hide it? I don't have to have to specify each field by their ID, because I'd like to use this all over (member profile management area).

I'm using this code for my website to load pages dynamically:
It works great. However, I'm using a script for tooltips as well - when I load a page that has links/abbr's that need tooltips, the JavaScript doesn't run on them. My solution to this was to add a <script> in the #content of each page that needed tooltips, except that doesn't work either.

I am trying to query the value of a textfield outside of a form but
with no success so far... the reason why I am not using a form is that
there seams to be an annoying issue with hitting the [Enter] key (at
least in Mozilla) when there is only one textfield in the form... the
[Enter] key seams to trigger some type of a submit... but when the
textfield is defined outside of a form this is not an issue... However
I don't know how to access the value for the textfield outside the
