Page Jumps When Banner Rotates?
Jun 1, 2011If you are scrolled down to the bottom of the site Code: [URL] when the banner refreshes the page jumps up from the bottom. what may be causing this?

Redirect Script And Modify It So That It Rotates A Banner Image Instead Of Sending The User To Another Page?
Jun 12, 2011want to take this redirect script and modify it so that it rotates a banner image instead of sending the user to another page. The script works so that if the window is out of focus for 10 seconds, it redirects. The images are defined in an external style sheet so I guess I'll have to move that into the document. Also, I want it to be able to work more than once with multiple images, like if the user opens a new tab, comes back, goes to a different tab, the image should change twice. Here's the script:

Jul 29, 2009At the moment my page will jump to the top (because of the #) whenever a new tab is clicked or when it automatically rotates to one.
Is there a way to stop this, maybe using an onclick event instead of relying on the #tabs links?

The problem I am having is that on the main content page, you scroll down, click on link to pop up (page loads) but the main parent content jumps back to the top of page, meaning you have to scroll back down to where you were.

The code below works, but any time someone clicks the [-] or [+] to expand or collapse rows of the table, the browser flips the user back to the top of the page. This happens in FF and IE.

Feb 18, 2011I have a section at the bottom of one of my pages that gets data that can be further filtered by weeks. Users can click on any of the weeks to see the data that applies only to that week. This works just fine, but when the function finishes and replaces the html content of the div, the page jumps to the top so that the user has to scroll back down to see the results. I'd like to avoid that. [code]...
It's nothing terribly complicated. The 'weekSelection' links are disabled until a stakeholder is chosen, then they're good to go. The weird bit at the url variable is just some ASP.NET MVC stuff.The StakeholderForecasting div gets its contents replaced and all will be good as soon as I can maintain the page's position.

Mar 30, 2010When my page loads, it automatically jumps down as if it were jumping to a named anchor. It's more apparent on longer pages (doesn't replicate if page fills screen). Stretch Top Banner Image To Whole Of Page
Jun 17, 2010I need to stretch my banner Image at the top of the page to the whole of the page. The development computer on which I was working for this site displayed it correctly. Today when I opened the code in another compter the top banner image didn't display itself for the whole of the page. It just contracted to the left side. I am wondering how do do it. Well I used background-image:100% but that didn't work(CSS3 compatibility issues). Any tips to stretch this top banner to the whole of the page in every computer.

Jun 11, 2009I have a banner that has image navigation on the lower right. The navigation links are images which, when clicked, change the banner without reloading the page. The actual switching of the banner is working when each image is clicked.
However, my problem is this:
The page itself is long and must be vertically-scrolled to see the entire content. Because of the scrolling, the banner could appear anywhere vertically on the page. And whenever I click the banner navigation hrefs, the page "jumps" so that the banner is at the top. The page should really stay in the fixed position.
I'm not sure how to set it up so that no matter where the banner section is on the scrolled page, that the page stays in the same position when the navigation is clicked.
My href's in that navigation are set up as :
Do I need something in my script so that the page won't jump? Or am I missing something in the HTML?

Sep 4, 2011Having a little bit of trouble with a site I'm currently working on I'm using some AJAX for the instant g-mail/facebook style navigation, you know the kind, with no refreshes, etc. Problem is, to allow for back/forward and bookmarks, I currently use a URL that looks like:[URL].. This is fine, not a problem... The issue comes into play when I want to open up the news.html page, from my home.html page, and have it open to news item #6 (for example).
I can't add a #, because one is already being used to reference the anchor for the content div. Has anyone run into a similar problem before? If so, how did you resolve it? Can some jQuery be used to find the location of the news item div in question, on load, and scroll to it like that?
