I am driving an html site from my network drive in my office that can be viewd on LAN. I need to put a blog kind of section on my site so people who visite this site can leave there comments on it and all can see thses comments.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've made a basic website template, which I'm still working on, but I'd like to make it compatible with IE before I go any further.
I'm having trouble with the drop down menu that is located in the top right section on the site...in the banner.
It seems to work fine in FireFox (which is what I've built it for), Safari, and Chrome, but it will not work in Internet Explorer. Problem is....it doesn't hide the links, or "il" section. I was able to get it to do so, but then it would not let you select any of them...they would disappear as soon as you moved your mouse off of the top section, or "ul" i believe it's called.

On this site on the right hand side there is a section called BBC IPlayer, you see the sliding scroll that is previewing some of the image before and some of the image due after,i cant seem to find anything similer in jquery,

I need to figure out a pattern that can match each letter of the message, but leaves all the html entities alone.
For example, I have a input like this:

I'm using an HTML page with one section having editable content. Nothing overly complicated. All other execCommands are working fine, but I cannot get Paste to work. The function is called from this button:

When I use the Copy or Cut buttons the selected text is loaded into the clipboard. If I press Ctrl+V to paste, it works fine. But clicking the Paste button either has no visible effect (if no text is selected) or just deletes any selected text. I've used the Paste command before from VB without any problem, but it's been awhile since I've used JS.
I came up with some code to load javascript files dynamically. But I've got problems..
When the script element is dynamically added to the head section of html, i think that the document.ready event fires once again and therefore the code sort of runs twice.

2. Is there a way to modify it? Maybe showing it in a form textarea.

site? This would obviously require id and password.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to build a site using html, css and javascript. problem is it works perfectly in IE but practically not at all in firefox. I have lots of mouseovers and tooltips, none of which will work. The only thing that seems to work is an onload random image generator. The html and css all return no errors using firefox's validation tool. I am completely new to javascript and have been trying to learn via building this site, so apologies if the code is really messy. Would be really grateful if anyone could help - I thought I was getting to grips with this when it all worked in IE, but am now feeling pretty stupid and think I must be missing something pretty fundamental. I have a basic flash gallery that I embedded into my site (HTML & CSS). When viewed in Firefox everything is fine (840px by 427px), but when viewed in IE the gallery changes size & needs to be (887px by 440px) to be viewed correctly.
So, I put an Javascript If Then Else statement. Now it targets and changes in the IE browser (width='887' height='440') , but it also changes the Firefox one to 887x440 when it should stay the original 840x427.

I'm also having trouble with a popup on leave javascript. It seems that it
pops up when I browse to another page instead of waiting till I completely

The unexpected behavior-problem is that wherever the pointer moves between the the <li> elements (next or previous), the whole hide_menu() and show_menu() is executed as if the pointer got out of the div space and re-entered.

i have just started learning & understanding JavaScript. I am just trying to do a small project for my Brother regarding Leave Management, for which its required to Select the From Date & To Date, wherein the Total no. of days should be calculated, excluding the weekends.
I have just worked around to calculate the number of days but i am not sure how to exclude the Weekends. & what if the the Year is a Leap year - So how will i include the Extra days of Feb month. I am using RAD date-pickers to get the Value & split it.
