I am trying to include some javascript in my website which rotates some
stored images. I have attached the code for the index page of my
website as i am having some problems getting it to work. Can anyone see
where i am going wrong? This is my first attempt.

Looks fine in IE and Opera, but is designed to write into a textarea instead of the <div> if the brower is not IE4+ (why is it working in Opera?) so on Firefox you can see the ugly textarea....
Is there a way to either turn off the Javascript in Firefox so it doesn't work at all, or test specifically for that browser (it's not testing for anything but IE right now as I understand it) and put the text into an absolutely positioned element? Code:
Anyone know if its possible to put individual times on how long the image is displayed? I am trying to get the blank.jpg's to display for 1 second, while the others stay at 5.

Im looking to setup a project for my uni assignment. its going to be a time radio site and i'm looking to create a page that has some javascript to carry out an image rotation.I want to have:- three images side by side- all images to rotate from a folder containing 100+ pictures- they all have different file names and extensions but i can change them if need be i want the images to rotate automatically without the page having to be reloaded or mouseovers or anything- i would like them to rotate on different time frames i.e. first picture 3 sec rotation, second picture 5 seconds, third image 7 seconds.... something like thatscanning the web but come up short. cant use php or anything its got to be a html page using javascript

when i run it, i have to wait the 9000 timer to c the first image, and i need the page to start with an image and then start the rotation, i have assigned background-image by css, and tried also to use document.body.background, but when i do this the rotator doesnt work.

I was thinking that it would be nice to allow friends and family record a little message on our family's website for us to play back for our daughter.
I currently have a "send us a message" form on our website that emails me the messages friends and family type... but what about audio?

Basically, i've got a very large website as the client wanted a fancy horizontally scrolling one. As such the images/javascript effects take a little while to load.Basically i'd want an animated gif to act as a loading image and then once the website has completed loading the whole page fades in (this includes all images, text, javascript functions etc etcI can do it when loading an image but am stuck with how to do it for say a whole website.

And saved the file as imageloader.js. I didn't put the actual website or image in this post because I don't want it to get referenced when searching my website in google. When I open the page, there is no loader, the image takes a couple seconds to load when you first go to my page like usual. Am I doing something wrong? did I call the file a wrong name? should I reference imageloader.js in the html code of the webpage?
I have just joined this website in order to get some answers for a problem I have my own shoe selling business and have recently created my own website. I taught myself a few tricks from books and a friend was on hand to help me also. What I would like to do is make images of my shoes 'rollover' images so you can turn the shoe picture around when you hover your mouse over it.
