JQuery :: Submit The Datepicker Elements In A Form?
Oct 13, 2011
Have datepicker calender which is ok and puts the date in the relevent box but need to retrieve the date when form submitted. I am using a deep XML link at present and dates given are in a drop down box for the day and another drop down box displaying the month a year together. what i need is when datepicker is selected it puts the relevent months and day in boxes. For example see my website www.wheels4rent.net where there is drop down box only for this and when locations and date selected its fine and results obtained. However on www.wheels4rent.net/index-8.html i have the datepicker but want chosen date to be placed in boxes similar to index.html boxes for pick up day and month/year box. At present it puts date all in one box
Have website [URL] and from this there is no datepicker on this page but when values submitted for location and date which is pu_day, pu_month , db_day, db_month , this seems to work fine as results derived from an XML which requires the date in format above to enable the request to be carried out. However on datepicker on www.wheels4rent/index-7.html i have datepicker on page but no results are displayed as it does not see the pu_day and pu_month and also the return dates.
My requirement is to submit html form with Attachment filesfor a web based email application.I have used javascript to achieve Attach more files functionality.When user clicks on ttach more files link, following HTML is dynamically generated using javascript:
<input type=file name=some_namesize=/>
The Javascript code is:
function addRow(tableID) { var table = document.getElementById(tableID); var rowCount = table.rows.length;
But I have some elements which I add dynamically and the element ID is totally dynamic. I have also added the class called calendar on those dynamic elements. But, jQuery couldn't parse the dynamic elements at the first. So, How can add the datepicker feature to dynamically added elements.
I have the date picker working grand on an input field, what I need to do is submit the value to two different input fields in two different formats, so a textbox and a hidden field, the textbox has the long format which is what I'm currently using bu tI need the hidden field to have the value like '2011-02-01'.
I have a form with various elements which, according to changes in values become enabled or disabled.
The disabled elements are normally not submitted, but I wish they were. How can I go about making elements appear to be disabled, but still send them when the form is submitted.
In the following .submit function, I am attempting to grab the value of the selected option in the facilityCodes dropdown list when I click the submit button and then during the submit function,select the facilityCode again in the dropdown list when the page reloads and then disable the list so that the user cannot change it.However,the situation is when I reload the page after the submit button is clicked the dropdown defaults to the first option and the list is enabled.I apparently am not understanding how.submit works so that I'm selecting the option I'm defining in my code below and then disabling the list AFTER the page reloads due to an error on the page. My question is how can I accomplish this?Here is my code:
$(function() { $("#ARTransferForm").submit(function() { var msgsCount = 0;[code]....
I'm using mailchimps signup box (they don't have a decent forum to ask on) on my website and want to adjust the submit button and change it to a normal link. Here's the button that submit's the form:
I have a page with many forms that I need to change from a post to an ajax call. That part is working, no problem, but now I want to disable the submit button while it's waiting on the server response and then re-enable it when the response comes back.
I can't figure out what my selector should be to get the submit button of the form that's being submitted. What should I be using instead? Also, if the call errors out, I'd like to just post the form as usual.
When dialog pops up and when I want to select date from datepicker but clicking on input datepicker is under dialog. What option make it to be on top ?
I need to show the date picker in an input field that is inside a form. I have index.php which has the code for the date picker, I just need to link it to the input field. I have the form in another file as follows:
On my form I have 3 submit buttons which handle different things.I am looking for a way to stop or continue form execution with a confirm box on the third submit button and the third only.I can't use onsubmit because that will trigger on all three buttons.
Is it possible to read a web page on some web site that contains a form. Then identify the fields in the forms. Then fills the fields with my data. and then submits the form as it submitted normally. I need to do this to automate for my final proyect , i need to fill many web pages remotly
The following will submit the form data to popup by clicking the submit button. I want it will submit the form automatically to the popup, there is no submit button in this page. Basically this page should not show up.
I have a very simple form. I start with the submit button disabled and once all of the fields have been validated I would like the submit button to enable. I only have required fields so the standard options that come with the validation plugin satisfy my needs. I only have this code along with the corresponding classes.
I'm trying to get an upload popup working with the jQuery form plugin[URL].. When I click a link I load a form html from the server and add it to a container div by setting the div's html attribute. I then attach a submit handler to the form so I can call the ajaxSubmit function of the form plugin.
Malsup's most excellent and comprehensive Form plugin has me completely stuck on just one thing.Take a look at this: http:[url]....At the bottom are a variety of submit buttons, and when you click one, it knows which one has been clicked.And I've been through the js and the source and the examples and I can't figure out how the bleep it's done!I'll tell you why I'm asking, then perhaps you can probably tell me I'm doing it wrong anyway!Let's say a blind person logs in, and want to edit their presets.I don't want the form to be too complex or clever or ajaxy, as screenreaders don't like that, so it just iterates through as many presets as they have, and populates a form with edit boxes.But there's no point "pushing back" 29 unchanged items just to edit one row.
So my idea was I'd just "fieldSerialize()" the details of the row that was currently being edited and submit that to my little php routine that updates the db. Then they can do a refresh just to hear the list again.The js looks like:
$(document).ready(function() { $('#myForm').ajaxForm(function() { var queryString = $('#myForm').formSerialize(); [code]....
All works fine like that. But if I change line 3 to: var queryString = $('#myForm :button').fieldSerialize(); it doesn't work. I've also tried:
Maybe I should just generate as many separate forms as there are presets, but then I'm going to need as many ready(function)'s as there are rows, which is going to be very messy.
I have a page that inserts a div after another div on my page. Basically this div and its content are generated by the server and outputted via Ajax when the user clicks a button.I have something like:
//Listener function $("div").click( function () { alert("thing"); });
Clicking any of the divs that were loaded on the page will give this alert however, clicking on this div that was inserted after the user clicks a button does not respond to this listener. I put my rendered html into the w3c validator and my page has no errors (because I thought that maybe I had a missing end tag which would cause jquery to not work).
I've been struggling trying to get a small order form to work the way I want it to. Here is a link to the live page: [URL] And here is the code in question:
[Code]...
I have two questions...
Question 1 How can I make this piece of script act a little smarter. Look at the order form, I'm catering for up to 4 people and providing lunch for them. If they select 3 people and the spaghetti bol for lunch, it's only adding $10 where it should be adding $30. Obviously this is simple multiplication but since the values in my form are prices it makes it a little tricky. I'm guessing an onselect on the first part of the form which changes the pricing of the other items would be the way to go, but how do I do this?
Question 2 The "Total Price" is placed before the <form> tag by the script. This is ok but it's not where I want it. How can I position this text elsewhere in the document?
I have a php form and it has 3 submit buttons namely "delete" , "update_quantity" and "place_order".They all work fine but I want to build in a check for each one just in case the user click one of the buttons by mistake.So Each one must have a different message like for delete it must be, "Are you sure you want to delete Record nr ......" OK or Cancle. And for update " Are you sure you want to update Quantity to....." OK or Cancle.
I have a form without a submit button. It gets submitted programmatically with document.form.submit().
What I need is to be able to disable this form's submit capability on page load and then reenable it at some later point. Remember there is no 'input' button element.
Code: What I've tried so far is like this: savedSubmit = document.inputs.submit; document.inputs.submit = None; then later: document.inputs.submit = savedSubmit;
I have a grid that I'm adding rows to that include form text input boxes using addRowData. I know I can use the "editable:true" for that but I'd rather not at this time. Anyway I have the <div id=list1></div> surrounded by a <form></form>. Also statically I have a couple of text input boxes and a submit button. When I press the submit button the only parameters that show up in the POSTED data are the static ones. Is there a way to get the form elements "registered" with the form? I know I can always use javascript to extract the data and save it via an ajax call, but if there is a way to do it "correctly"
Example var myRow = {id:"0",call:"<input name='callt"+boxNo+"' id='call"+boxNo+"' class='calls' type='text'/>",amount:"<input name='amt"+boxNo+"' id='amt"+boxNo+"' type='text' value='"+defaultDep+"'/>",residual:"",calculate:"<input type='button' class='buttons' id='b"+boxNo+"'/>"}; $("#list1").addRowData(boxNo,myRow);
I have my form working great as long as my submit button is contained within the form tags. But the design calls for the submit button to be outside of the form. Sample code and diagrams are below.
<form> my form here </form> <div> </div> <div> Submit button </div>
I'm using the jquery plugin found here. I love the look but I have a form that uses functions like this:
[Code]..
So, when you select a country and it retrieves the state/province text input, the jquery css is not applied to it. Is there something I need to add to the code above or to the jquery initialization code here:
I would like to use a date picker on a web page input form. I found one which does what I want but the date format it outputs is not correct for my form. The script contains the following:
// datetime parsing and formatting routimes. modify them if you wish other datetime format function str2dt (str_datetime) { var re_date = /^(d+)-(d+)-(d+)s+(d+):(d+):(d+)$/; if (!re_date.exec(str_datetime)) return alert("Invalid Datetime format: "+ str_datetime); return (new Date (RegExp.$3, RegExp.$2-1, RegExp.$1, RegExp.$4, [Code] .....
I am not familiar with JavaScript and have not been able to figure out what changes I need to make in order to get the output I want. I tried to contact the author, but his email address no longer works. What modifications are necessary. The output format I'm looking for is YYYY-MM-DD (no time).
