I need to invoke a method when a field validation is either successful or unsuccessful. I have managed to get the function to run if the field validation fails by using the following:

But how do I invoke a method specific to a field that triggers when the field validates successfully? I need to invoke showBigGreenTick(fieldname) for the fields that are validOn another note, I find it very strange the the documentation is so poor regarding this validation. To even find out that there was a "messages" option for validate was found on another website.
A website I'm designing vgdesign.net/thc has a form in the footer. It functions how I want right now (to my knowledge) except for the fact that after a user submits a form and it passes validation, I want a message to be displayed that says "Thank You". I have a class created for this in my stylesheet but I don't know how to trigger it when the form is sent successfully. Essentially, I would like the result to look like this:
If the form doesn't pass validation, I want it to not display until the users fix the errors in the validation pop ups and resubmit. The php script that sends the form contents to the specified email is at the top of my index.php page. The validation tool I'm using is called jquery inline form validations (found here: [URL] How can I have that success message pop up when the form was successfully submitted?
I want to hook into validation success/failure events, but don't see an API to do this?
i.e. I want to enable/disable a particular set of controls depending on the state of validation.
Is there a way to do this? Am I missing something?
I am making a call to a php file which right at this minute has no validation, all validation is been done by the jquery form plugin. the validation (xss prevention soon to be implemented) in the thanks fails I want to stop the processing of the form i.e. stop the return of success.

I have to code an errorPlacement for my form checkboxes. The form works good with the default behavior; but I don't get how to code a special errorPlacement for the checkboxes. I used the Milk form demo. My working form (less the checkboxes) is at [URL] and the non-working one is [URL]. I can change the error placement for everything, or consistently for all the fields, but I have 2 fields that I want to place the errors someplace else. Is there a way to do that?

I tried taking the quotes off 'errorPlacement' but no luck. In the debugger I see it checking the settings for an errorPlacement function and it's undefined. I ran the function definition through JS Lint and it's happy
I'm trying to customize the position of my labels through the option errorPlacement, but I still didn't find how to make it work, I want to display icones just after my inputs, and my labels in a div, I tried to use errorLabelContainer for the div, but still can't display my icons (you know, a simple check mark when the input is valid, and a red cross when not).
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy app recently upgraded to 1.4 and as such started using the XMLHttpRequest in the success callback of the .ajax function however we been forced to roll back to 1.3.2 due to performance issues with IE7 (forced to use in a corporate environment) Is there any way to get access to the XMLHttpRequest after an ajax call? If not, would anyone be so kind as to point out if its possible to modify the 1.3.2 source to add the parameter to the success call back like in 1.4? I am hoping its a simple modification however I could be wrong. We are set to upgrade to the lastest jQuery when we get a browser upgrade to IE9 but that could be up to a year away and I would really like to continue to use the XMLHttpRequest in my app as its a lot faster than my old approach.

Images will be numbers (0-9) and they have to click on correct sequence (example 4 6 3 2 2 7) and then click "submit" button. If they don't get correct sequence they get shown some message about wrong numbers, but if they get it wight they should get some message of success.
