JQuery :: Multiple Select Lists In Multiple Rows That Have Been Dynamically Added?
Mar 7, 2010
I've been stumped. I'm usually good at figuring this stuff out, but I'm completely confounded here.I have a form with tables in it to add items to a series. The rows are being added dynamically by Jquery on the click event.
I have a cgi script (using perl for database queries) in which I have two select boxes. I am populating the left select box with rows from a database, and then provide buttons for people to move items to the right select box.
So far so good, everything works, the move right, move left, and move right all and move left all buttons work, data is always sorted in both lists. My only problem is, when I click the submit button, the follow up program only displays data that was highlighted/selected in the right select box, not all of the data in the right select box.
I don't know how to tell the script, via javascript, to highlight everything in the right select box when the submit form button is clicked. I would think i could just call a function via -onClick for the submit button. I could use some help with the function to select all data in that list.
javascript and have coded an invoice page through help from some available content on web.here is my requirementMy form contains inputs "item ,rate quantity,price" in a tabular form where one can dynamically add or delete rows.And the requirement is thatwhen Quantity is entered the Price should change to Price=Quantity*Rate on tab outSo I have used a Javascript onchange() and this works fine for the first displayed row. but for dynamically added rows this does not happen, I am not able change the price value for dynamically added rows.
i created one table again and in this table i added some another options for ex at the previous table there were only one problem sum of the dynamically added rows in this beside sum i need to sum of the percent of this sum for ex 10% of this dynamically added rows for ex.i added ten rows and i entered different values into these rows. in front of each row there are different option of percent selection.
in row1 i added 1000 and chose from drop down box 10%
in row2 i added 2500 and chose from drop down box 30%
and so on and finally i summed separately sum of the values and sum percentage of this values to other texbox value .here is code
<html><head><title>dinamik sheet</title> <script> function addrow(){[code].....
I'm encountering a snag when attempting to dynamically populate multiple dynamic select elements. I have the following object hierarchy Field --> Category --> Expertise which are displayed within a form as select elements, e.g., when 'Field' is changed then the 'Category' is repopulated based on the root index value of 'Field' and then 'Expertise' is repopulated based on the root index value of 'Category'. Below is the code I'm using:
I have a Custom Dropdown Lists that converts Option tags to UL tags with jQuery. The Dropdown List is working perfectly as long as theres just one on each page.I'm trying to figure out how i can have multiple Dropdown Lists (in this case two) on the same page, and how to populate the second Dropdown List (with say Cities from the Country) based on the selection made in the first Dropdown.
Any plugin/website that is jQuery, which will do what this Dojo example does, i.e: [URL]. I am wanting something similar to this as I would like to use as a means of allowing a user to administer a menu structure.
I will be adding 3 additional <div class="slide"></div> after the first one dynamically on $(document).ready(). In the DOM, it looks like this. code...
I want fill a select list with the first list on page load, then depending on which option is chosen, fill another select list with the appropriate list. I'd prefer using only javascript!
I'm trying to search for the correct code to make my form work. I have 3 select boxes - one with 2 options, one with 8 options, and the last with 2 options... All of this adds up to 32 different url paths. Can anyone tell me how to get this done?This is what I have so far: (and yea, I know I suck... I honestly have absolutely NO clue)
I am trying to use multiple instances of this little show/hide script for a definition list on the same page. However, the problem is that the definition list must be given an ID, and this can only be used once on a page. [URL]. How would I go about changing this to a class so that I could use it more than once on a page (i.e. multiple definition lists as opposed to one big one)? I changed all of the getElementById to getElementByClass and it didn't seem to work.
This is a form to subscribe people to a newsletter on Mailchimp. There are two lists: community, student. I am trying to separate people into one or the other based on the checkbox input, "Check if you are a student." To do this, on submit, I need the two hidden inputs, "u" and "id," to be set differently depending on whether the checkbox is checked. The error right now I'm getting is that it's not being linked to a mailing list. Most likely "u" and "id" are not being set properly. The javascript is fairly short, and I'm wondering if its setting the values correctly.
Dependable dropdown lists (4 level) 1 Level dropdown list 2 Level dropdown list 3 Level dropdown list 4 Level dropdown list Every dropdown list is depends on another dropdown list
For example if I select a value from 1 dropdown list then 2 dropdown list will appear. And then I select a value from 2 dropdown list then 3 dropdown list will appear. And if I select a value from 3 dropdown list then 4 dropdown list. Multiple selection will be enable. It means every dropdown list may have hundreds of values. Thus, In this situation of multiple selection of values I analyze that, use of dropdown isn't suitable because if a dropdown value has 500 related values then these 500 values disturb the page design.
I'm a newbie to jQuery and I'm facing a "big" problem for my actual knowledge.. code...
If I run the code and click on "Delete" what I can obtain is only a partial remove of fields (the "Label4" and "Label5" still remains on the screen, all the others are removed)... but what I really need is a complete remove all of the "two" rows... I did many search on the forum but I wasn't able to find an answer .
In IE the selection box is created, and there is a drop-down box if I click on the down arrow, but I can't see the OPTION text for each option. The options are invisible, yet the box seems fully functional. I went into the debugger and sure enough the selection box has "OPTION" child nodes with the correct "value" and "text" attributes.
I have found a problem with <select multiple="multiple"> and .change() under ie6. The problem is ie6 fires first change event right after any other event, like selecting again, clicking mouse, pressing a key etc. It is perfectly seen on [URL]... Just click any option in demo, nothing will happen.
If i put a handler using plain DOM, i.e. $("select").get(0).onchange = function() { ... } the problem dissapears. So, it's definitely a bug with jquery. JQuery version 1.4.2.
I'm wondering if there's a way to have multiple row carousel implemented.
I use jCarouselLite.. [url]
To be more specific, here's what I have:
And this is what I would like to accomplish:
I do realize that placing multiple items withing the <li></li> would be one approach, however I can't do that since the items are generated dynamically. The structure of my data (items) is an unordered list:
Using "float: left" & "clear: left" messes up the whole structure...
Any ideas how to display 9 items at a time on 2 rows?
I am using a Toggle function right now that does a getElementByID check. I have a table dynamically being built by ColdFusion that shows a bunch of time entries for a support ticket. Each time entry has 3 rows that I only want to show if the first row is clicked. Right now it only displays the first of the three.
I know it involved naming the html form inputs as col001row001, though. Doing that dynamically in asp is no problem, but how do I get the row number to be recognized inside javascript's "document.form.column###.value" while going through a for loop?
I have a set of data that I display in a table. Each row has a category and there may be a dozen or more rows in the same category. I'm looking to add filter buttons to the page to hide/show categories on the fly.
Currently I can: Set the id on the tr to (category name) or to (category name.data id).
Using the first, is there a way to hide all rows with that same id? It seems currently to only hide the first row with that id.
If not, is there an easy way to find all rows whose id starts with (category name)? I figure I could regex over every element in the page looking for ones that begin with a particular id, but that would be silly.
Also, is there a way to refer to every row of a table? I'd like to first hide every row, then show those in the required category.
Can someone provide me with the javascript code for deleting multiple rows..i.e..User will be selecting certain rows with checkbox and on clicking on the delete button,those checked rows should be deleted..I want it in Javascript and not Ajax.
Using the following code , I'm trying to delete 2 rows from a table , the first row deletes ok but then I get the error When trying to do the delete the table contains about 10 rows , I'm trying to delete row 3 , and then row 3 again
displayTbl has no properties
Any ideas..
var displayTbl = parent.expenseDisplay.document.getElementById('expenseDisplayTable');
I have taken from internet a script that adds and removes rows but I made a little changes to that script that is renumbering rows after deleting. I can delete all rows by selecting at once except firts row. For ex. I have added 10 rows and I chose 9-th of them I delete them with no problem. but when I choose the first row it deletes one by one and displays error. If possible Why the error displays when choosing first row (no matter only first row or all rows with the first row also). My script is below:
<HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE> Add/Remove dynamic rows in HTML table </TITLE> <SCRIPT language="javascript"> var rowCount = 0; function addRow(tableID) { rowCount++; var table = document.getElementById(tableID); var z=table.rows.length; if(rowCount>z) rowCount=z; var row = table.insertRow(rowCount); .....
I'm trying to make a table that will hide multiple rows in single js functions... now I put together a way to do it, but it requires multiple id declarations in the functions, is there any way to do it with classes instead of IDs, so that I can have a blanket class that I can use?See:
Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">[code]......
