JQuery :: JQM ScrollView With Device Orientation Change
Sep 6, 2011
I'm making an HTML5 web app which can use on both android and iOS devices. Here I want to use a scrollview with y direction paging and "data-scroll = yp" work for me. But here I'm experiencing an issue with device orientation change.So inportrait mode when we seeing 2nd page, scrollview offset is -768 and it is ok. But here if we rotate the device to landscape mode, then to see the complete page scrollview offset should be -1024. But still it is remaining in -768. So we have to give some touch movement to jump it to correct position.Actually this is a huge bug for scrollview and I tried a lot to fixed this. I bind a method with orientation change in scrollview widget and that method can not access other properties in the widget.
i'm using the 1.7.2/Slider and i'm quite pleased with it. The only thing that bothers me is how to change the direction of the slider when in vertical orientation. The default values are: min at bottom, max at top, but I want to reverse that, so the slider always starts from top to bottom. I tryed different things like modifying the code in ui.slider.js, but it didn't seem to work.
i want to know if its possible to update a page based on some information we recieve from a device which a client will have.the simple issue is that a client device will be sending me some values by making a request along with some parameter values. i have to recieve the request, get the values and update the information on the web page.i don't know if the get() and post() function can be used in any way.. they are supposed to send request.if I don't find a solution using jquery, i will be forced to use a servlet, but then again, i have to somehow update the page directly, i can't save the data anywhere and read it. because, one thing is the data is critical and other thing is that i will get data every 5 seconds.
Im trying to design something that would be intuitive for the user to represent rotating something. Think along the lines of rotating an image a specific amount of degrees. The obvious choice is to have the user input CW or CCW and the number of degrees but i would rather present something graphically and let them manipulate that, then in JS determine the rotation.
The only thing i have been able to come up with right now is something along the lines of the iPod click wheel with a dot at the top. As it is clicked and dragged it spins, but the problem is i dont know if this is possible in just JS / HTML, i don't want to use flash.
I need to add a form field to be on the top - centered on the page regardless if the page is portiat or landscape. Is this possible? Everything works like a Charm with the exception of the alignment on the different page orientation - Here is what I have so far:
// add form field to each page of the PDF for (var pageNumber = 0; pageNumber < this.numPages; pageNumber++) { var dateStamp = this.addField("DateStamp","text",pageNumber,[450,770,155,790]); dateStamp.textSize=10; dateStamp.textColor=color.red;} this.setAction("WillPrint", "var today = new Date(); var current_hour = today.getHours(); var current_minute = today.getMinutes(); this.getField('DateStamp').value = "Valid 24 Hours From Printed Date... " + util.printd("dd/mmm/yyyy",new Date()) + " " + current_hour + ":" + current_minute;");
Do we have any alternative for orientation attribute of Td element in javascript for firefox? Below code works fine in IE but throws undefined in firefox:
We run a click and sales tracking solution for our advertisers and as such we are having a few issues with browser compatability for certian sites that are ont eh Magento platform. Essentially we are just trying to create an image call in javascript that uses a few pre-populated variables from the checkout process.
So teh issue we are having doesn't seem to be broser specific. We are trying to simplify the javascript call to ensure we have the highest possible chance of compatiablity. Obviously now with so many differnt browsers and also mobile devide connectivity this is making things even harder. We know that our javascript calls are failing as we've been monitoring our IIS logs and can see the image calls are being made with blank variables. There are 3 different elements to our checkout calls that maybe you guys have experience of with possible issues or fixes:
1. unescape function 2. onload event function for images 3. creating images dynamically
these are very basic elements of the javascript core but aout 5-10% of our calls are failing with blank variables being passed into the image call. So the questions is what elements of our call will be the possibel sources of failure?
I'm using a text area to display textual updates to a user from the server. I'm inserting the text at the bottom of the textarea and need to set the scrollbar to the bottom of the textarea after every update. The problem is that the onChange event only fires if the user actually changes something in the text area, not if it is changed by an ajax update.Does anyone know of a way to detect if there has been an update to a textarea that was NOT triggered by a user?
based on selection of radio button, i want to change the text box to enable and disable. And additionally, how to set if i enter a value in textbox1 then calculating something and display the result in textbox2 that to on key up.. not on form submitting.
I'm a real newbie with Javascript, but I'm having fun. I just bought the book, "Simply Javascript" (have only just cracked it so far). I'm reasonably familiar with PHP (I use a lot of it to do simple things). I'm a Web desinger and do custom CSS Websites (I'm fairly new to that too couple of years or more working with CSS and I've never done a table based layout.
[Code]...
But when the button is clicked, nothing will call the showCaption() function again, and I can't figure out how to call that function as the images advance. I have tried a lot of things with a lot of weird results, one being the tne next caption will display in a blank browser window, without the Webpage! I'm not sure why that happens, but I have a clue.
Is there an easier way to do what I want to do? I only want to show a few lines of text that will describe each image. Seems simple enough to me, but I'm just too new to make it work.
How would I go about doing something like this?I want to have a div, and when you click on it the content changes. Then I want it so that if you click anywhere else besides that div, the content should be changed back.So I want <div></div> to change to <div>content</div> when you click on it, and when you click anywhere else in the document it should turn back to <div></div>
i cant get a caption specific to each image to display under the arrows when the image changes. it is especially hard for me because i have to edit the javascript which confuses the **** out of me. it seemed so simple....
ps i cant start an id with a digit? it doesnt seem to cause any problems...why is it stated that this cannot or shouldnot be done?
I am trying to change my cursor to a help cursor for a webapp I'm helping to develop. It partially works, except when an element has a CLASS attribute. For example:
I'm trying to make buttons that change from one color to another when you click them and change back when you click them a third time. I wrote this page (http://cf.lehigh.edu/ems/test.html) but it only works on Firefox(Not IE or Chome, untested on safari or Opera). I'm using javascript to change the button colors. Is there another way to do this that works universal or another tool such as CSS?
How can I set the ID of a div after doing a $.get().The point is to make it so that each piece that gets added using this function will have a uniqueID. Everything I try seems to fail, I'm guessing its because the fragment of html that I am appending isn't in the document when i go to search for it.
I'm sure this isn't as hard as it seems.
var uniqueCounter = 0; Add('Container.aspx', '#content'); //The default id of div from conatiner.aspx fragment is 'Container.aspx' for ease function Add(frag, location) {
I'm trying to document my self and to study in the same time I'm writing you, but it's quite hard to understand everything in a small time.I've a page where I've a random number of buttons generated dinamically by a php.Of course the number of buttons depend by the research that the user have done. Of course buttons don't have specific IDs.What I would is that when a person click a button, just that one changes its value (the text written on it) of course without recharging the page. The label has to change just after the execution of a php script written in another page...(AJAX).On internet I found lots of examples but for doing this with button with a particular ID.
