We use for a project the following code for tab navigation. Now the client wants to link directly to a specific tab from outside (for example to tab 3). Is it possible to modify this code with less work or I have to switch to Jquery UI Tabs and build it up again?
/* - TAB SWITCH - */
$(document).ready(function() {
$(".tab_content").hide(); //Hide all content
$("ul.tabs li:first").addClass("active").show(); //Activate first tab
$(".tab_content:first").show(); //Show first tab content
$("ul.tabs li").click(function() {
$("ul.tabs li").removeClass("aktiv"); //Remove any "active" class
$(this).addClass("aktiv"); //Add "active" class to selected tab
$(".tab_content").hide(); //Hide all tab content
var activeTab = $(this).find("a").attr("href"); //Find the rel attribute value to identify the active tab + content
$(activeTab).fadeIn(); //Fade in the active content
return false;
});
});
And in the html:
<ul class="tabs">
<li class="aktiv"><a href="#tab1"><span>Tab 1</span></a></li>
<li><a href="#tab2"><span>Tab 2</span></a></li>
<li><a href="#tab3"><span>Tab 3</span></a></li>
<li><a href="#tab4"><span>Tab 4</span></a></li>
</ul>
<div id="inhalt">
<div id="tab1" class="tab_content text"> .....
How to make an image map link to another page AND open a specific accordion section?I guess I need a script that knows which area of the image map was clicked and not only navigate to page 2 but opens the section via slide toggle I need it too.Here is the the page with the image map (although image map version not upload yet so I have what will be uploaded below)[URL] ...and the page I need to navigate to based on the area of the image map clicked and also slidetoggling the div I need it [URL] Here is the image map:
I have a popup window which is a slideshow of about 7 images. When the popup window loads, the first image is present and then the viewer can select next or previous to scroll through the rest of the images.
I'd like to use the same popup window at different points throughout the website and have the Virtual Tour (slideshow) open up at the appropriate photos. Meaning I'd like to control which picture the popup window opens up to, depending on where the user is in the site.
Does anyone know where I can find code that does this? I am somewhat familiar with Javascript but would like to find some ready-made code which accomplishes this.
I am currently using this template by flowplayer.org: [URL]. The functionality I need is the ability to link directly to a specific ajax tab (i.e. Seagram Building, Barcelona Pavilion, New National Gallery). As of now they are just line items without any anchor tags.
I am trying to figure out how to make a certain text link load in the active link color. What I'm doing is using frames to display different colors of product. In the right frame is the list of colors, and when clicked on, the image in the left frame changes to show the same product in a different color.
What I need is to let users know which image is being shown when they first come to the page, so I would like that link to show in the active color when the page is first loaded and then change to a visited link when another link is clicked on.
I have PAGE1 with the link to PAGE2 with iframe. (iframe load several naked html). I want to add directive to the link to point sprcific content of iframe. to make it clear
link on PAGE1 -> load PAGE2 with iframe -> iframe content is specified on link = whole PAGE2 with iframe with desired content...
solving problem with creating several different PAGEs2 poining wanted iframe src is not the case.
What is happening is $(this) is no longer based on .expand being the (this) that is clicked.
like if i have a button SOMEWHERE randomly on the page with this
<div onclick="Minimize('_alerts');">Click Here</div> this will minimize alerts but because the (this) in minimize function doesn't actually point to the right button that I want to add a class to.
Is there a way to modify the minimize function so that it finds the <div id="mytoggle"><ul> <li class="expand boxminimize" rel="_alerts"> using the rel toggle, and then changes the class of the li from expand boxminimize to boxexpanded??
just like the .expand click function I posted on the top of the post that works?
It is possible to perform a find in page search that looks at a specific link, opens the page in a new window and finds the text within that document?? Basically I regularly use an html page in work that has a list of people and their telephone numbers. I want to be able to type in a searchbox on my main page and it open the target page and find the name I am looking for? Is this possible or can you only Find In Page on the same page or another frame?
I need a script that will open a new window (popup / new link) in a specific size, but will also close the old window (where the popup came from). I know the popup window is easy but finding a work-able close window script as the new window is opened is impossible!!
Another thing that has been driving me crazy is that css positioning is handled differently by different browsers. JS is not my area, but I can do a lot with CSS, and I do, but cross browser compatibility is killing me.
I can use an IF IE statement and only IE runs that segment of code, but I haven't been able to figure out out how to make ONLY firefox or ONLY opera or safari enact an encapsulated segment of code. The same type of IF statement doesn't work for them.
Is there a single method using JS that works for all browsers?
function result(){ var result = document.getElementById('resss').innerHTML; }
But what I actually want is to import data from a table of an external website. E.g. I want to get the innerHTML of a specific cell in column 3 and row 2 of a specific site.
I need a counter that will display beside a link, with the number of times the same link has been clicked. I do not have FTP access to the site, since it is based on a CMS.
I'm trying to append the title attribute to the text of my link. I've got it working, except for the fact that all three links are showing the first link's attribute. Check out the demo at http://outdoor/fuelmultimedia.ca Hover over the Products menu item, and you'll see the drop-down with the attributes.This is the code I'm currently using:
var $titleText = $("#top nav ul ul li a").attr("title"); $("#top nav ul ul li a").append("<em>" + $titleText + "</em>");
I'm new to jQuery and have a problem with links inside an accordion.
The simplified code looks like this: <div class="active-item"> <div class="available-items"> <h5>Headline</h5> </div>
[Code]...
The problem is, that the links inside the table are not active. If i click them, the accordion is closing What do i have to do, to keep the links inside the open accordion as normal links, without closing the accordion?
I'm using Firefox 3.5.5 on Vista 32 Home Premium SP2 and only recently noticed that (javascript/jquery being enabled) link focus is lost when you tab through a page, follow the link to another page and then hit the backspace key to come back. Tab navigation continues at top of page, not with the next link after the one in focus before.
No problems in this respect with IE8 and Opera. As soon as you disable javascript with noscript, the problem disappears and link focus stays, so that tabbing brings on the next link instead of starting on top of page again.
Just confirmed it on jquery/com (following navigation link to Plugins and hitting backspace) and on learningjquery/com (navigation links). A Google search didn't yield any answers nor even any similar reports on this particular problem.
It's even more irksome in my particular case, since I have just implemented a stylesheet switcher in order to enhance certain accessibility aspects, but ironically this particular bug leads to a loss of accessibility.
Does anybody know what might be the reason (version 1.3.2.min related?, cookies related?, etc.) for this and how to solve it?
I have two links that have the same class name (like class="item191") on the same site. I want to hover one of these links and both links should become highlighted.
i want the link only to change color when clicked and content changes in window "#gallery". Then when click on another link, it goes back to original color and new link is now changed. Basically, only when link is acitve or focused on then it's new color so user knows link and content that's being viewed.
I am having difficulty getting the value of a specific value contained in a <p> tag, what is happening is that it retrieves the value of the first <p> tag value and not the one the user clicksWhat I need is to retrieve the value from the <p> tag the user clicked
$(document).ready(function() { $("p").click(function () { var prop = $("#property_links").val();
