JQuery :: Expanding Accordion Moves Other Page Content To The Right?
Nov 15, 2011
I have an odd issue for which I hope someone has a solution. I'm using the jQuery accordion to display a list of links in the left column of a table. When I click to expand the accordion in the left column, the table data in the right column moves to the right for a moment and then moves back to it's original position when the accordion finishes expanding Here is a link to the page:
I'm using the localscroll jquery plugin to scroll through content in a div by using an unorder list navigation. I have the containing div (#page) set at a certain height and the overflow set to hidden.. the problem I'm having is I want the #page div to be elastic so that it grows and shrinks to fit the child div it scrolls to..you can view the scroll plugin in use here:
[URL]
its activated using the product list nav toward the bottom of the page on the left. How would I set it up so that the #page div shrinks or grows to contain the full visable size of the child div (.scroll1, .scroll2, .scroll3, scroll4 etc)
I get this weird bug on firefox 3.5 and chrome. And strangely IE8 has no problem with it, which is why i think its a JS error. When I got to my site [URL], I get this error for some reason my blogs content moves a few pixles forward. and when i Refresh the page it goes back to normal
I used the copy/paste dropdown panel from this site, and I'm having trouble with it. Whenever I click the very top panel it drops down, but it moves behind all my other content. Heres my page currently [URL].
I'm trying to use the supersleight IE6 png fix with a content slider that moves the .png in and out of view using the css property overflow:hidden; What happens in IE6 is after implementing the IE6 png fix the .png displays great but the overflow:hidden doesn't work. I get the png image floating around outside of the content slider.
I used on of the examples in SitePoint's new book jQuery: Novice to Ninja, and implemented it in a site I'm working on. I hide sections of the content, and expand them when clicked on (www.symboticware.com/projects/)
Is there a way I can make it so that when you click on one of the projects, your browsers scrolls down as much as possible, so that it is the focus in your browser. Much like using an anchor link, but with jQuery?
I have an accordion constructed similar to the demo here: [URL]
If you browse the above with IE you will see that the content load first before the accordion kicks in to structure content into the accordion nicely.
My question is whether it is possible to get the accordion loaded first and then load the content only after that. This is so that we will not see the raw content first before it got put into the accordion.
I am trying to develop this expanding content as you can see here:
http:[url]....
You see when you click on the title, any text below it will slide down and reveal more content, with nice fade-in. Everything works well for me except that when the page is loading, you can see all the hidden contents before they hide themselves. This content should always be hidden.
I am new to jQuery and not an experienced programmer. I downloaded the accordion widget and it works fine. I have one small problem: the content box instances 2 and3 onwards, seem to be sizing themselves depthwise to the size of the first content box and not dynamically to the number of lines of text I enter in each. Can I make it dynamic with alterations to the CSS? If so whichproperty do I alter and to what?
which isprobablyeasy to tell, but I was hoping someone would be able to answer my question regarding the jquery accordion content sliders or point me in the direction of one that fits my needs.I am wondering if there is an accordion plug in out there that will reveal content based on whether or not you've moused over an image or clicked on it. I've seen a few, but what I have yet to see is one where the button is in a separate div than the content holder. For example, you could have a rotating image you roll over with your mouse and 200 pixels to the right text suddenly appears to define the word image you just rolled over.
I am trying to find if a script exists to have an image slide-show which moves to the right when the cursor moves to the right and so on for the left. We have managed to find someone else who has done exactly what she wants but it's in flash and I have no experience at all in flash. So I was wondering if anyone knows of a script which does the exact same thing? Below is the link to the site where they have managed to do what we are looking for in Flash: [URL]
I expanded upon a script a friend helped me write, to create a simple check box that hides / shows content, as shown HERE. [URL] Unfortunately, I don't have a clue how to expand this, so that I can use more than one checkbox on the page, to open different sections.
<html> <head> <title>Title of page</title> <script language="JavaScript"> function getCookie(NameOfCookie) { if (document.cookie.length > 0) { begin = document.cookie.indexOf(NameOfCookie+"="); [Code]....
Code: <li onclick="javascript:showdesc('This is info about trucking', 'truck');">Trucking</li> <div id="trucking"></div> <li onclick="javascript:showdesc('This is info about bulk delivery', 'bulk');">Bulk Delivery</li>
[Code]...
This all works good, however when I click on some of these it just moves the text down the page but it doesn't expand the column and the text at the bottom just gets pushed down past the page.
I want to set up an Include page in a cell of a table. Then I want to be able to change which page is included on the fly as the user moves the mouse of the various links on the page. How can I do this?
THe include page was set up via FrontPage so it put it's Bot stuff in there, but if someone could tell me the "standard" way to use an include page and if there's a way using onMouseover etc to then change that and refresh it on the fly, that'd be great.
I've create a jquery accordian using the code provided in the main accordian page. It all works brilliantly, except when I try to show an image that will link to another page, the image does not show.
For example, In one of the accordion content areas, the code shows:
<div> <h3><a href="#">How can I get a price quote?</a></h3> <div>Simply click on the button below to open up Power Image's all-inclusive Quick Quote tool, then follow the prompts to enter your style, color, ink colors, and quantity. <img src="images/quote.png" width="100" height="30">When you're done, click "Total" to see your all-inclusive price! Additionally, once you get a quote in the Design Center, your price quote updates live under your design as you create.</div> </div>
When clicking on the header to open the content however, the image does not show. I have checked the location of the image multiple times, and it is right. There isn't even a broken image that shows where the image should be. What code do I need to add to allow images to be inside the content area of accordions?
I created an accordion menu with rollover sub menus. My question is there a way to stop the rollover effect in the sub menus until the accordion animation is finished? When I click on a category link on the accordion the sub menu links flashes until the animation is done.
Im using an accordion menu. i would like to have the sub-menu items in that accordion menu when clicked on display an image in a "viewing box" of some sort beside it.
I'm stuck with a simple jquery accordion script that is[URL]..The problem is that there are links inside my divs that brings to another page where the same accordion menu should be included and left opened at the same state like the previous page (hope to be enough clear. The script I'm using will always close all the accordion divs upon the second page load. I'm a total newbie of jquery and couldn't understand exactly how jquery works (among other things I've to do i promise that I will learn jQuery as soon as possible );
I am doing an internship at a company and am working on an existing site. The Company wants the expanding menu to stay expanded when you click a link to go to another page while navigating. I am very new to Javascript, CSS, and html and could really use some insight or code example.
// JavaScript Document /* This script and many more are available free online at The JavaScript Source :: http://javascript.internet.com
I have posted in my community in Open Text an accordion, but only the text is displayed like a bloc, no accordion effect.on this community the Module header look and feel is based on a CSS. It seems that i have some conflicts between both (no error message displayed).
I have content in hidden (invisible) DIV elements on a page that I want to load into another DIV element on same page. I need to replace content currently in a DIV with that coming from another DIV. DIV ontent could be a P element or a P and IMG element.
