JQuery :: Accordion - Stop The Rollover Effect In The Sub Menus Until The Accordion Animation Is Finished?
Aug 5, 2010
I created an accordion menu with rollover sub menus. My question is there a way to stop the rollover effect in the sub menus until the accordion animation is finished? When I click on a category link on the accordion the sub menu links flashes until the animation is done.
It works fine but the problem is, if I move the mouse over and over the DIV-Containers the animations runs, and runs, and runs.I think, each time I move over the DIV, the animation is going to the Queue and runs that often. I want it to stop after the .mouseleave animation is finished, so that it runs just on time..
My accordions work great, but in IE 6 or 7, when the animation is done, the entire contents of that div flicker for a split second. Is there a solution to this? My page is here [URL].
do anyone know how do i slidedown animation using jquery mobile ? im able to do the normal animation thats given in example. Its just kind of hide and show but i need to do a animation like when i click the top div tag it should slide down the inner div content.
thinking about implementing some accordion menus. Want to use the latest code. Is this modern code on this site [URL] also, anyone have a link to any modern code for onmouseover instead of onclick navigation through accordion menus?
I am a newbie in programming...recently I have developed a very simple (probably too simple!!!) javascript code that trims strings and shows animation....the code should be self explanatory....and i have included comments in the snippet so everyone understands what I did....just save the txt file as .html and double click to see the output in browser...
I'm using Jquery to create a rollover effect on 2 images (placed on top of each other) to fade the bottom image in on a mouseover and out on a mouse out. Clicking the faded in image also opens a fancybox gallery. The problem is that sometimes the animation (the fade in and out) gets stuck after closing the fancybox window and the mouseover doesn't work anymore.
Ok i just created my portfolio site using a simple accordion effect i got from. [URL] Im very new to javascript and coding in general, so im sure my code is far from pretty. My question, is their a way to fix the delay on the way the accordion loads. if you go to my site [URL] you'll see that initially all the sections are visible and then they collapse after a few moments. is there anyway to make it so they are collapsed immediately.
I am seeking to change the color attribute in my CSS file under the ID's #realmaturesingles and #seniorpeoplemeet upon the hovering of these links. These two ID's are initialized inside an <a> tag (these are links). How can I do this with JavaScript? This is what I tried:
I have a button which is animated with a rollover effect, obtained through jQuery of course. I wish to open a lightbox clicking that button and I tried with a simple, self-made lightbox and with FancyBox but in either case the lightbox is displayed without animation.I post the code for my buttons and the lightboxHTML for buttons:
I have lead out animation when a link on my navigation is clicked that needs to have time to finish before the link has redirected the browser to the new page!
jQuery('#menu > li > ul').click(function() { jQuery('.stepcarousel').hide(); jQuery(this).fadeOut(2000); });
The problem is the browser refreshes to the new page before .stepcarosel has had time to fadeOut making the transition jerky
[code]Now I use firebug to inspect the 3 <li> again, then I realize the 3 <li> don't have class, style and jcarouselindex anymore. I guess it is because the function inside jcarousel.min.js file is execute first before the 3 <li> are finish sent from usermessage.php file. How to stop jcarousel funtion before 3 <li> is finish loaded? I saw there is an example of the way to stop jcarousel function but it is for xml data, I don't know how to convert it to php. I hope somebody can help me out about this. Below is the example of the way to stop jcarousel function but it is for xml data.[code]
Im having a bit of trouble with the bounce show effect from jquery ui. To see what I mean, check out my development site. Anytime you modify a part in this computer builder, the rigth side gets updated. Right now its removing and adding list items. Problem is when click items too fast, the animation doesnt finish and the next item gets bumped lower and lower.
I'm trying to accomplish an accordion-like function, but instead of dropping down the section below, the content just lays over the other options.
For example, take a look at the Accordion example here: [url]
Notice how when section 2 is clicked, section 1 rolls up. I'm trying to achieve something where with section 1 open, the user would need to click on section 1 to close it and then could select section 2 which would overlay its content below, rather than pushing section 3 down.
Is there an option on accordion that I'm missing or can this be accomplished using another widget or plugin?
I've tried various other ideas posted here but I cannot get this working in IE7. Sample page :[URL]I am aware there can be issues in IE7 with <div> tags inside <a> tags .. I tried replacing all the divs with span but no success.
I am a new jQuery user and am pulling my hair out trying to get an accordion menu to work on my site. I originally tried using the jQuery accordion that you can see in the left column on this page:
[URL]
It worked great in Firefox, but not in IE. So, I decided I'd try Accordion UI and I spent the afternoon learning how to use jQuery UI and themeroller and trying to get it to work, but to no avail. I've tried everything I know to try. take a look at this page:[URL]
(left column only... ignore the accordion references on the right, they refer to the above attempt.) It appears that the jQuery is not working at all - the scripts OR the css...
I am having trouble trying to load contents on a tab in accordion on the fly. Which means, the content for a particular tab will only be loaded and displayed when user click on it. Is there any example available? I am still trying it with Ajax. I know this is the correct direction but couldn't sort things out.
I'm having an issue with my Jquery Acorddion, it does not seem to work in I.E8 but works fine in chrome and firefox.I have initialised the acordion using the following code:
I have a function, which calls a second function and then does something. I need the second function to have finished before the initial function continues - how can i do this?
Perhaps I'm just using an old version - or, perhaps, I'm just missing something elementary... but when my horizontal accordian slider runs in IE8, I can't click on any of the sliders and link to another page. All's I want to do is click on the picture and link to another HTML page.
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "[URL]"> <html><head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <title>Test</title> <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/style.css"> <script src="js/jquery-1.3.2.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ var lastTouched; var lastType; var lastContent; var boxTop = 125; function resizeElements() { .....
What is happening is that I have an accordion with sublevels, but it's not working properly. When I click on Test1, it should only show test2 and test7, but it is showing test3 and test5 (that are insinde test2), that only should be visible when clicking test2.
