Oct 9, 2009Does anyone know if it is possible to have an accordion menu not slide items down, but instead have that list item expand over the elements below it?

I have a problem because the drop down menu is diplayed behing the accordion block.

Jquery :: Load Template In A Slide Of An Accordion Using Mysql - Php
Jun 28, 2010I have built a website using a)MySQL b)HTML c)PHP and d)Javascript. My website consists of basic html pages/templates which have links to the left and point to another templates/pages. For example, i have 4 templates in my site
1st template is for: News
2nd : Library
3nd : Articles
4th : E-shop
Each template consists of 1. a small menu with links,every link points to another page 2.space for the content/text of the html page 3. a form for searching in the website using php and a mysql database. Well, i'm thinking of adding some animation in my website using the jquery library.Let's say we have an accordion which has 4 choices and when the user clicks on the first choice the 1st template(NEWS) appears inside the slide of accordion,loads in the same slide, not in a new page!!!This is what i would like to do, place in each slide of the accordion one of my templates. CAn this be done? Which are the disadvantages of adding in each slide of the accordion a different template for my site and remain in the same slide when the user clicks in one of the links of the template? Consider that i'm using dynamic content and not static, i have a MySQL database behind.
Also,as i have seen in most examples the options of accordion usually contain an image, a content, a text or links which open in a new window or tab not inside the slide!!!These links do not load in the same slide!!i would like to have a template which loads in the slide each time the user clicks on a link of it.

Aug 26, 2009I have about 40 divs, all positioned absolutely with a certain width and a left attribute.I am looking for a way to make sure all these divs don't overlap, meaning that if one div has its starting point (left) within another div(left+width), the first div should be moved down as long as it takes (height of 2nd div).Having barely any experience with jQuery at all, I really hope I can find some answers here.

Oct 19, 2011I'm making a form with some fields. Once the form is submitted it updates the page with a new div containing the data entered without refreshing. Im using jquery form plugin. What I'd like to achieve is the new div(.record) to .slideDown. I guess I need to somehow specify the exact div by giving it an id or number. I'm not sure and why im here.
At the moment when i submit all of the divs(.record) are hidden with .hide, then they all slide down with .slide. Best i can understand is to hide the last div then slide down. But again.. I don't know how to specify to only slide down the last div added and not the current .record divs on the page.

- no overlap in the positioning of elements
- keep the elements inside the container
- remove the default asterisk completely
As I have varying article dimensions, this keeps the splatter area the right size:

Nov 23, 2010I am using the tablesorter plugin and am experiencing the following problem:
Under several scenarios the up/down arrow icons will overlap with the text in a column's header. This occurs if the browser is resized so the table width is too narrow (e.g. plugin should force a min-width perhaps?).
More importantly, this will also occur when the text in a columns header is shorter than any of the values in the column the up/down icons overlap with the text in the column header.
I've attempted setting padding on the header columns but no success (probably because the up/down icons are set as background images and therefore have no impact on padding)
At the moment the plugin won't be usable for me since the arrorws overlap with the text in several columns.

SVG And Dragging Div Overlap Conflict?
Jan 25, 2007I have an SVG file and draggable div on one page. When I move div over
this SVG file, it looks like div loses control and detaches from the
mouse. If I do it slowly, div seems to barely follow the mouse which is
being over SVG.
I tried assigning zIndex to SVG file to be the same as other elements
on the page, but that did not help. Would anyone know why this happens?
