JQuery :: Callback For JME Plugin Once Video Finished Playing

Jul 20, 2010

I'm using jme [URL] to play videos with the new html5 video tag and OGG codec. Works fine - but now I need to have some sort of callback once a video has finished playing. How can I determine when a video has finished playing to take some action? There's a method .isPlaying() which could be used for this but maybe there's a more elegant way.

JQuery :: Stop After The .mouseleave Animation Is Finished?

Jul 16, 2010

I have serveral DIV-Containers on my site and I added to each an .mouseenter and .mouseleave event:

$(document).ready(function()
{
$('div.Menu').mouseenter[code]...

It works fine but the problem is, if I move the mouse over and over the DIV-Containers the animations runs, and runs, and runs.I think, each time I move over the DIV, the animation is going to the Queue and runs that often. I want it to stop after the .mouseleave animation is finished, so that it runs just on time..

JQuery :: Using A Callback Function To Add A Class After Animation Is Complete?

Aug 17, 2011

I'm trying to create a two-part animation: On mouseenter over a thumbnail image, the background area expands. Then, once the background has reached full size, I add a class to the text content so that it gets displayed.My problem is that the text content only displays sometimes and I can't determine why this is the case other than that it has something to do with the callback. If you roll over the thumbnails, sometimes you see some text information below the image and sometimes you don't. Why? You should always see that text information.

$(document).ready(function() {
$(".thumbs").delegate(
'li',

JQuery :: .animate() - Callback Function Executing Before Animation Is Complete?

Jul 27, 2010

I have a slogan that is supposed be animated so that one part slides onto the screen, followed by the other part. My understanding of the 'callback function' parameter on the .animate() function is that it's not supposed to execute until the animation is finished. The trouble is, the two functions seem to be executing at the same time (that is, the two parts of the slogan appear on the screen at the same time.) Here is my code:

$(document).ready(function() {
// hide slogan text $('#slogan_1').css('left','270px');
$('#slogan_2').css('top','75px');});

JQuery :: Event Animation Callback Doesn't Work Properly ?

This is my code:

I've set the animation to large numbers (1000) to make it very obvious.

The helper will show before the other fieldSets have been hidden. The show animation begins about half way through the hide animation. Since both elements are occupying the same space, this makes the container jump around in size as it breifly expands to fit one under the other.

JQuery :: Can't Get The Animation To Work Correctly With Multiple Items

Mar 13, 2010

If you look at this page [url] you will see that if you hover over the photo the text block goes up, and if you hover over the text it slides down and covers the photo. It's all pretty basic and it works fine. But ones I try to get them animated during the sliding up and down the trouble starts.

It works fine if you take the time and wait for them to go back to their starting position, but if you move over the items quickly it becomes a mess. You can see what I mean on this page [url]

I hoped that by adding a stop() before the animation if would fix the problem, but it doesn't really improve at all. It still quickly becomes a mess if you hover from one item to the next one.

How I could get the animations to work properly without it becoming a mess? I now there are double id's in the html, but unfortunately I can't really change the html.

I paste some code:

The problem is that callback is never called. I used firebug and i have seen that when i change region the getJSON function is called and my script (python) return this JSON:

Why my callback is not called? I can't even get the alert ('callback time!'). I thinked that my json could be broken, but firebug net console read and parse it very well, so i think is valid JSON.

I also tried to split up the function declaration from the getJSON request, but it's no use.

Multiple Hyperlinks To Submit Form Method

Feb 23, 2011

I'm looking for a method to use several hyperlinks to submit a form and then return the page within the link for example:

The reason for this is so that no matter which link a user navigates to the form will be submitted and no data lost.

However the above code obviously loses the POST info as the form action will be different from the a tag.

Therefore I think maybe a way of creating a variable that changes the form action to match the a link selected (as the form(s) are submitted to the same php page.

I'd to do this offline to see how much CPU performance affects web page rendering.
