I have a HTML list and inside differents LinkButton. I need count the buttons that the property visible is true.

I am trying to understand the order of operations of a for loop.
for (count=1;count<3;++count)
{
document.write(count + ". nice rack.")
}
when this runs it prints:
1. nice rack.
2. nice rack.
I dont understand how it prints 1. The way I see it it sees the for looks inside the parenthesis, assigns count a value of 1, goes to the comparison sees that it is less than 3, then gets incremented by 1 at the next station, and then finally goes in the curly brackets and the string is written. So if it starts with 1, is less than 3, and is increased by 1. before it starts the loop, then the first sentence would read:

I'm basically coding a really simple dropdown menu and probably wouldn't even touch Jquery if not for IE on this. When I look at the menu in IE6, it puts every year and month in a single column as opposed to having a column for every year (as I want it). I know this isn't horribly difficult, but I'm having a real time with it.

I am using jquery checkbox dropdown list control URL...inside a tab plugin, and it is not working for me. Dropdown does not appear on click although code does process the items. If i put the dropdown list outside the tab on the same page it works fine.

I am trying to replicate the function that is on this page [URL] - where the links on the right open an external HTML page that activates a dialog window and the whole thing floats above the parent page. I've ripped apart the JS file but it goes beyond my understanding and has references to demo this and demo that - which isn't going to sit well with my existing code. I am trying to see if there is a simpler version of this function that doesn't require 155 lines of JS. I found the JS code to open an HTML page inside a DIV using ht e object ID method but it still acts like an iFrame and my dialog window is trapped inside, not floating above the parent page. I've even tried to use the CSS overflow: visible; but I'm sure there is more to it than that - especially since it didn't help ;) I can't use AJAX or PHP like many of the scripts I found use, so i has to be just like the page I gave as an example.

View 2 Replies View Relatedi have a list of checkboxes, the number of checkboxes is dynamic. All the checkboxes have same name. i am trying to get the length of selected checkboxes.

........ get dynamically.
when i try to get the length in javascript like document.form.name1.length, it works fine if number of checkboxes selected are more than 1, but not for 1.
So, I doing this bit of code for a pagination, but havingproblemswith my next, and back buttons.So I cam up with the idea to store the current page number in between two <p> tags. Inside this html string there are multiple id's that I have to change. The .each finds the rightelements and the manipulation seems to work when I do a console.log onwidgetElement.However the actual $content remains unchanged. I probably made a very obvious mistake but I can't find it.

Hi I'm new to the development world and have bumped into a tough problem for myself. I'm attempting to display external RSS feeds on my site using AJAX. The 'title' and 'link' tags from the XML file appear on my page without any problem. However, unlike the 'title' and 'link' tags, some of the 'description' tags contain HTML.
This seems to be an issue when I'm trying to display the content within the description tags. As you can see, I embarrassingly tried enclosing the variable newtext2 in CDATA tags to no avail. Since I do not directly have access to this RSS file (other than asking my friend if I can edit it), is there a way for me to display the HTML content within the 'description' tags strictly via JavaScript?
