Submit Buttons Placed Close To Each Other?
Jun 30, 2011Exclamation Javascript problem with submit buttons placed close to each other.there are two buttons which have been called by a javascript here. Both have been coded to redirect to different pages. However, when I hover my mouse on the Regret button it automatically highlights both buttons and when I click regret it redirects to the page where the Confirm button is supposed to redirect. The Confirm button itself is working fine and taking me to the desired page. where the problem is with the Regret button. Basically each button should redirect only to where it is supposed to as I've specified in the Javascript code.

Nov 1, 2005I'm new to javascript and im trying to add a close button function to my certain pages of my site. I use this code:
<a href='javascript:window.close();'>Close Window</a>
to create a hyperlink which closes the window. However with pages which
display data retrieved from a database using PHP i use a form to submit
a search on the page which displays results. At the bottom of the page
is the close window link, however it fails to work once a form has been
submitted on the page. It only works when the page first loads.
Any ideas guys on how i can get a close window option that works on my
results page after submitting a search?

Apr 30, 2010Safari 4.0.5 and FF 3.6.3 have this problem IE and Chrome are ok The first time when i click the link, two instances of close button shows. If during the same load, i click on another item, the previous clue tip hides and the new one shows with only one close button (right behavior). Image attached. Property closePosition "top and bottom" both have this behavior. closePosition value "title" only shows one close button but it is not clickable.

Add / Remove Row Buttons Not Working Properly
Dec 14, 2011I have 2 tables with Add/Remove Row buttons. The first table's Add Row button adds a row that belongs in the second table, and the Remove Row button gives me an Object Error. The second table works properly. The JavaScript for both tables is identical except for the ID's. When the tables are put into seperate html files both of the Add buttons work properly, but the remove row button from table one is still giving me the Object Error.

many times and many solution was given. But I want clear cut solution
for the issue.
The issue is:
I tried to capture the browse close event by using
Body onunload=fn1() statement and it is working fine.
I have one Parent and child window.
My req is to close the child window when I click -X- buton in IE. It
is also working fine. (I wrote condition in Unload event of the parent
page).
But when the page is postback (when I click one button) the unload
event fires and it closes my child window automatically. But I want my
child window should not close this situation.

Sep 2, 2006I'm running a bat file that runs a php script, that backs up my db.
Problem is that I'm limited by the functions I can use as I'm on a winXP box and dont want to compromise security.
The function I'm left with means I should run the script from a browser as it echoes out the results. At this point I'm not opening a browser so it is creating a few problems.
To get around this I thought I might be able to use js. But, I've been testing with a script I hacked (and I mean hacked, its probably a mess).
4 problems:
1. its trying to download a file
2. still has a pop-up asking if its ok to close window
3. its not displaying the php file
4. even if I click the 'go back' link it still asks if it should close.

Update Database On Browser Close
Nov 12, 2010I am working on a chat program. When a user logs in, a value in the database is set to 1 (online), and when he/she logs out it is set to 0 (offline). The problem is, when the user exits the browser, naturally the value is still set to 1.
I was wondering if it is possible using AJAX or otherwise to update the database on the event of browser close? I have tried onbodyunload in the body tags pointing to a file with a JavaScript function containing the PHP code (query to update the field) but cant get it to work.
