I've implemented many galleries using Cycle, bxSlider, Carousel, etc., but this is the first time I've been asked for the same functionality with vertically-scrolling thumbs. Has anyone seen anything that would fit the bill?
I'm looking for a script which will scroll the thumbs, and show the large version of the current thumb automatically. Clicking on a different thumb will override, and clicking on the arrows will scroll the thumbs, and possibly change the large image shown.
I don't have much by way of spec., so I'm assuming a lot about the way it should function, however I haven't found anything remotely close.
Im looking for a code like the one below that automatically resizes posted images to desired size while at the same time the resized images are clickable for full size which opens in another window.
I am trying to incorporate Lightbox2's image gallery script into my site but I'm having difficulty.Here's where I'm accessing the script from: http:[url]....
The image thumbs are showing up but the larger images are not. I changed the 'body onload' html tag to window.onload as I'm using two different javascripts on this page and I don't want them to conflict.I've also added initLightbox() so I don't know what's wrong! Is there just an issue with the images or is there something wrong with the script.
<script type="text/javascript"> window.onload = function(){ // use this instead of <body onload …> MM_preloadImages(MM_preloadImages('../3websites/home4.jpg','../3websites/amenities1.jpg','../3websites/inquiry1.jpg','../3websites/rates1.jpg','../3websites/photos1.jpg'); initLightbox()") } </script>
I'm working on a project that requires a vertical image gallery, that can be scrollable using the mouse scroll. It should work in the same way as this website's gallery : [URL]. I looked at their code, but I'm very new at jQuery and javascript, and couldn't figure it out, many elements missing. How to make it work, or maybe there's an existing plugin I could use?
I am looking for a image gallery that will work where some photos are positioned horizontally and some are vertical. I hope it is possible. The photos are for an artist that I am working with. I hope someone will have an answer. It doesn't have to be fancy. Even a simple magnifyer would be fine. I guessed that javascript might be the most appropriate form.
I am wondering if someone know of a free cross-browsers vertical scrolling script that:
- is cross cross-browsers
- will call the scrolling content from an external html page or from a url page
- will also has an option to pause when each heading on the content page reach the top or bottom of defined scrolling window, depending on the predefined direction the scroll is scrolling.
I have created the following page [URL] where I have a number of main links and then sublinks for these. At the moment when a main link is clicked the content scrolls vertically and when a sublink is clicked eg Blue Inner Link 1 the content slides horizontally. how can I update the script so that when I click a main link the content scrolls horizontally and when I click a sublink the content scrolls vertically?
A little difficult to explain, but here goes:I've combined a couple different jquery scrollable functions to a webpage that I'm creating. URL...for my horizontal scrolling.The problem with the vertical scrolling function is that it relies on the mousewheel and mouse clicks for scrolling and I don't feel it's immediately apparent that the text scrolls. But I really like the effect, so I've added arrows and tried to get the functionality from the vertical scrolling example, but it's not working, except for the down arrow in the content in the very last tab. When you click on an arrow, it currently takes you to the previous or next horizontal section.
I know the answer is in there somewhere, but I'm not sure where to look for it. Here's the javascript file that controls the functionality:URL...
[URL] I solved the menu situation. Now, when a window isn't fully maximized, the page scrolls both horizontally and vertically. When it goes vertically, the image gets off-track. I just need to remove the vertical scroll capability from this javascript file: [URL]
Currently I'm looking at smooth scrolling Js scripts for thumb images which can be altered to accomodate needs. I found one here [URL] that has some desirable effects but has no navi buttons.Would it be sensible to alter and point the hovering mouse scroll function to buttons, or would it be a better to keep looking for exactly the right script? The 2 identical scrollers on this page are the look I want but these are flash;
I need some help with a couple things. I am not good with or really familiar with Javascript much if at all. What I am trying to do is create a scrolling gallery like this:
I basically was able to grab the code and reworked it and got it scrolling and what not, the issue now is, the pagination links are not working, meaning they are there, working correctly but numbers/links are not click-able.
Here is the code: <div id="slider1" class="sliderwrapper"> <div class="bannerframe"> <table width="575" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> <tr>
[Code]...
What the heck am I missing. I have the appropriate files referenced, and its working but I just cant click the links on the pagination.
Does anyone know of the coding he used to get his pages to load like they do (auto scrolling right) I would like to do this with a site I'm building but vertical.
I have a unsorted list that is set to to 260px tall. (just big enough to show 4 lots of information) and then 4 more lots of information. I have it so that it can scroll but I was wondering. Is there away I can make it auto scroll when the selection hits the 4 item? the manual scroll is fine but would like it so if the auto selection scrolls to the 5th item it then auto scrolls the items to show the new ones?
Is there a way to stop a carousel (created with jcarosellite 1.0.1) when it has ben set up with auto-scrolling? I need to be able to stop it and restart it when a button is pressed. If I can't can you please suggest me a plugin that have infinite scrolling, auto-scrolling and I can stop/restart?
I'm attaching my php test file but this is a JS problem. When I scroll down in the web page and the meta refresh hits, in Windows Safari and IE6/7/8 browsers, the web page re-positions back to the top. In Opera and FF the page refreshes but it stays where it is. Can someone look at my test script and see why it is not working in IE and Win Safari? My goal is to have the web page not re-position to the top on the auto refresh.
I'm not sure exactly what this type of thing is referred to but I'm trying to implement something which is similar to the scrolling logos on this page:- [URL] I need it to function just like that i.e. :-
- scroll to the right automatically 1 item at a time - when it reaches the end scroll all the way to the left - When the user hovers over the slider itself or the arrow buttons all effects stop temporarily until they hover elsewhere - In my code I only want clicking either of the arrows to move the slider left or right by 1 item rather than 4 - when it is at the far left the left arrow disppears temporarily - when it is at the far right the right arrow disppears temporarily
i used setTimeout() function in my image gallery to scroll images , i used setTimeout("myfunction()",1) in my script. Now my image gallery is working properly but problem is that the speed of scrolling images if normal in firefox, but in internet explorer it is slow, and in google chrome it is very fast , Sir how to resolve this problem
I would like to create a thumbs up/down or yes/no like rating using jquery and php/mysql. I want to show two images and then when clicked, would like to display "thanks" and then store the value along with the page id(from the url) in the mysql db. Rating can be allowed only once for that id from one ip. I am assuming i can set a cookie or store the ip address and validate if that ip and the page id is already there.
