I've implemented many galleries using Cycle, bxSlider, Carousel, etc., but this is the first time I've been asked for the same functionality with vertically-scrolling thumbs. Has anyone seen anything that would fit the bill?
I'm looking for a script which will scroll the thumbs, and show the large version of the current thumb automatically. Clicking on a different thumb will override, and clicking on the arrows will scroll the thumbs, and possibly change the large image shown.
I don't have much by way of spec., so I'm assuming a lot about the way it should function, however I haven't found anything remotely close.
I am trying to incorporate Lightbox2's image gallery script into my site but I'm having difficulty.Here's where I'm accessing the script from: http:[url]....
The image thumbs are showing up but the larger images are not. I changed the 'body onload' html tag to window.onload as I'm using two different javascripts on this page and I don't want them to conflict.I've also added initLightbox() so I don't know what's wrong! Is there just an issue with the images or is there something wrong with the script.

I am looking to resize my entire webpage down to specific smaller resolution and add it to an iframe. I do not need it to "auto-resize" depending on viewpoint, just shrink it to a smaller size.How can I use javascript to resize the entire page to my dimensions?

I want a container (div below), and 3/4 thumbnails below it. When an image is selected it shows the image, when a video is selected it plays the video in the div. I don't want any controls in the div (next image or video controls. Very basic. Anyone seen anything like this using jquery?

The exact dimensions of the image vary but are always 100x100 or less.ave tried using CSS like {width:auto;height:auto;} but this is not reliable. I append "?" + now.getMilliseconds() to the image SRC to prevent the browser caching it (because the image can change but the filename doesn't). If I omit this query string, then IE6 seems to resize the images correctly.I also have to float the image and I've noticed that removing the float fixes the problem. I tried to use display:inline instead of float but it didn't work.

I'm using the Sortable/Portlets UI Code. Is it possible to auto-resize the Containment Height's. Bascially I have a DIV that acts as a container with a black background, when I sort these elements I want the container DIV height to change to match. OR is it possible to stop the bottom sortables from having sortables placed underneath them?

Also, how would I make the div the height of users screen, but the width 200% wider that the visitors resolution?
Is there a plugin that will do this? Or does anyone have an idea about how to implement something like this? The idea is for a sign company to have customers customize the text for their signs. They want to allow users to input text and have it update the sign image live with the text and resize it if the text string get's too long.

I created a blog at http:[url]....At the top of the blog is an iframe window that directs to http:[url]....On that page it uses php to pull out a random quote from the database. The iframe window displays that quote onto the blog.It works great except that the height is not automatically resizing.Is there a way I can use javascript to do this instead? I would like to be able to resize my current window to 1024x768 and center it at the same time. I know how to resize (window.resizeTo(1024,768)) but I don't know how to center the window. The only examples I can find are opening new windows such as this:[URL] I'm restricted in that I have to have the script on one page and I cannot open new windows e.g. open a new popup window and close the opener.

So if the width of page is not enough the next one should startbeginning of next row. Each image and text is currently house by a div with float left and a set width, but if you look at the attached screenshot (1.jpg), The Oracle - eBusiness Suite gets stuck because of the differentsheight due to text size and if I set a height too, then some of the text gets covered up (2.jpg). I was thinking if I can maybe use J Query to automatically adjust height to divs on the same rowto fit the biggest text size on that row?Evenjust changing all divs to that heightbe would be ok if it'seasier.

I'm quite new at Javascript and I'm trying to create a script that will save me a lot of time when creating my website. I'm gonna try to explain what I'm looking for by taking a simple example. I have a page 'Portfolio'. On this page I have thumbnails of my work. 'OnMouseOver' will have the bigger version of the image appear on the screen (no need for a click). The images are named 1001, 1002, 1003, etc. The thumbs are named 1001_th, 1002_th, etc.
When I click on one of the thumbnails, I want the page "Details" to open, on which only the picture and the description is different for every project. The rest of the content will be the same every time. What I am trying to do is avoid having to create a page "Details" for each one of my projects (up to 100 and growing).I figure there must be a simple solution to 'take' the number of the picture and put it in a standard "Details" page.
I'm pretty new in Javascript. I searched alot but didn't find any answer to my problem I have.
What I want to do:
- I have a cell A1
- I want the script to make a new cell B1
- After that I want the script to make a new cell C1
- After that I want the script to make a new cell D1
- After that I wa .... etc .... till I got 20 cells in total.
This has to go automatic so not by use of a client sided button.
I also need every cell to get his own IDnumber like A1 ID=1, B1 ID=2, C1 ID=3, etc to communicate with database and mysql. But maybe I have to use php for that.

Problem: No images load, and I believe I don't fully understand the .appendTo tage.. I don't know if #body is correct. The author of the plugin assumed I understood the relation. Also #homePage may be incorrect as well.
Additionally, I found another plugin that worked for placing an image in the background (not random), and the background image would scale to size, according the users window. I loved that and it worked, just wanted to add random images to the same script.... first things first... I can't even get an image to display at all with the above code.
In case you wanted to know the script I was using to scale the background image, here it is below (although, as you will see in the code for my site - this image feature is disabled as I am trying to make adjustments).

the window, the image disappears. If I restore down, the image is

What I am trying to do is create a slider that auto scrolls 3-4 images from right to left with no controls. And if the user hovers over it, it stops so they can read the content that is featured. Everywhere I search there are bunch of plugins i.e. easyslider, s3slider, etc. that have tons of code that is greek to me. I tried using the easyslider code and changing things around for it to do what I want, but I was unsuccessful.

I want to show two images and then when clicked, would like to display "thanks" and then store the value along with the page id(from the url) in the mysql db. Rating can be allowed only once for that id from one ip. I am assuming i can set a cookie or store the ip address and validate if that ip and the page id is already there.
