View 1 RepliesI tried to add lightbox to my slide show and it caused the slideshow to stop working correctly. I have narrowed the problem down to this particular stylesheet
Code:
<script type="text/javascript" src="js/prototype.js"></script>
I've been looking for a gallery that interacts with a ligthbox and I can't seem to locate one to my needs. It either is a good gallery with a lame lightbox implementation or vice-versa. very spiffy prototypish gallery carousal type with a lightbox implementation?
View 6 Replies View RelatedHow this image gallery with lightbox is done? I am trying to figure this out and was searching, but couldn't find how this was implemented with lightbox. [URL]
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe link for the page is here [URL]. As you can see there is an image gallery that is supposed to be controlled with lightbox, however I can not get the lightbox script to work and everything I've looked at seems ok. Any ideas I have uploaded all the required js files and images files as well.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI was curious as to whether anyone had links for a publicly distributed script that would allow me to have Lightbox 2 like effects inline rather than as a modal window. Lightbox 2
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using two scripts on one page, one for a Lightbox gallery effect:
<body onload="MM_preloadImages('images/contact_over.gif','images/about_over.gif');initLightbox()">
And one for a DIV fade-in effect:
<script type="text/javascript">
$(window).bind('load', function() {
$('div').fadeIn('slow');
});
</script>
But adding the Lightbox script breaks my DIV fade-in: [URL]. I have the display:none removed from the style for the offending DIV for the time being, so this page will even work. How can I utilize both the fade-in script and use the LightBox gallery script at the same time?
I am searching for a jQuery plugin for screenshots gallery, similar to Lightbox, FancyBox, etc. The problem is - I need to display HTML description for each screenshot.
I found a great one that allows layover for any DIV on the page: [URL]
but this one doesn't have a prev-next functionality for multiple divs, as I need to present these in a gallery view.
Do you know any plugin that allows that, or do you have idea how to extend the script to work the way I want?
Currently I'm looking at smooth scrolling Js scripts for thumb images which can be altered to accomodate needs. I found one here [URL] that has some desirable effects but has no navi buttons.Would it be sensible to alter and point the hovering mouse scroll function to buttons, or would it be a better to keep looking for exactly the right script? The 2 identical scrollers on this page are the look I want but these are flash;

I've implemented many galleries using Cycle, bxSlider, Carousel, etc., but this is the first time I've been asked for the same functionality with vertically-scrolling thumbs. Has anyone seen anything that would fit the bill?
I'm looking for a script which will scroll the thumbs, and show the large version of the current thumb automatically. Clicking on a different thumb will override, and clicking on the arrows will scroll the thumbs, and possibly change the large image shown.
I don't have much by way of spec., so I'm assuming a lot about the way it should function, however I haven't found anything remotely close.
I have a lightbox I'm installing for an image gallery. The lightbox uses the technique where when you hover over the image and click, it goes to Prev or Next image, thereby disabling the ability to Right Click and "Save Image as...". These are images that our clients use and need to be able to download though. So, I thought I'd add buttons into the lightbox to give the download option (also more obvious for the less web savvy).
I've managed to get the buttons to show up in the lightbox, but cannot figure out how to pass the correct image from the HTML into the button for the download(they'll be .zip files). With every Prev or Next click, there is a new image and therefore a new download (actually two as we have low rez and hi rez download options).
Here is the actual page
Here is the actual Javascript for creating the lightbox elements(use Find to locate 'smallButton' and 'largeButton' which are my add ins)
Here is the relevant HTML code:
Code:
<div class="gallery" id="gallery2">
<ul>
<li class="first">
<a class="section">

I've looked extensively for examples and spent hours with my very limited JS "skills" to no avail.
Currently, I have Lightbox 2 working in the classical way, i.e. a link to an image (in my case it is a script, i.e. photo.php?id=123) with a rel="lightbox" attribute.I would like Lightbox to add *by itself* a parameter to the picture URL, so that photo.php?id=123 becomes for example photo.php?id=123&viewer=lightboxAgain, Lightbox should add the parameter by itself, I do not want to put that parameter in the page from which Lightbox is called.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have added xfade2 (JS image rotator) to my website.
I have Lightbox also on the main page as it needs to serve as a gallery. Now that I have added xfade, the lightbox images do not load; the opening transition just stays blank.
It seems that there is a small piece of css code causing all the problems.
Code CSS:
#imageContainer { height:250px; }
#imageContainer img { display:none;
position:absolute;
top:0px; left:0px;

I have an image gallery and wish to add previous and next buttons to work alongside the numbered links

I've got this little chunk of code running on my freelance portfolio site - on each page (different sections of my portfolio) I have 6 thumbnails and a full sized graphic with some descriptive info, you click the thumbnail and it switches the graphic and other info, that all works fine.But on one page I have some web stuff and I'd like to make the var 'clientinfo' into a link to go to the client's website. I know I need to add an array with the website links, but then I'm not sure how to implement it into the html, I've tried various things I've found on here but I'm not getting anywhere on my own. I know it's something pretty simple (for someone who knows what they're doing) but I just can't seem to grasp it.
the js is like this:
$(function() {
$(".image").click(function() {

I see in the script for this slideshow a way to customize the nav panel.
My demonstration page
Code JavaScript:
However when I put the borderTop property after fontStyle nothing is showing. Is this correct way to style this.
this website vertical-scroller.vbarsan dot com/ . In the left middle of screen. You will be seeing scrolling comments. Can anyone tell me how to do it?

am just about at wits end, and I am hoping someone here will be able to assist. I've searched and searched and have come close but to no avail. I found a nice image gallery code from "David's Kitchen" http://monc.se/kitchen/80/lightweight-image-gallery-with-thumbnails and have tweaked it to eactly what I wanted, however, I want to add an image caption of the alternate image text below the active picture. I've tried everything I could think of (with my limited knowledge) with no successHere is the code I have:

i used setTimeout() function in my image gallery to scroll images , i used setTimeout("myfunction()",1) in my script. I'm trying to add a back and forward button to some scrolling images. The code that handels this runs on load and will cycle the images.
Code:
function rotater() {
if(document.layers) {
document.placeholderlayer.document.write(items[current]);
document.placeholderlayer.document.close();

I inherited a site that has jscript and html content. The site frame (top and left nav) are controlled by the jscript file. Most all of the content that is displayed when links or topics are selected is placed in the center of the page. I need to put some scrolling text in one of the top frame blocks, (the section that is java script file).
function buildMenus(){
var headerString = "";
var leftnavString = "";
var footerString = "";
[code]....
I have a couple of jscripts that do the scrolling I want, I just need to know how to insert it in the above section.
I'm using jMyCarousel [URL] for a 100% width horizontal infinite thumbnail scroller, but can't figure out how to add one last piece of functionality. Here is the feature in its current stage of development: [URL]. I've got the hover-to-pause part working (clunkily in terms of backend but it works), but now I need the house image to start centered on the page and pause there for two seconds, and then automatically slide with easing effects to center the next image for two seconds, and so on, rather than have one long continuous scroll. I'm very new to JQuery and if this project wasn't deadlining in a few days, I'd totally study a JQuery slider to see how they do the thing I need and try to adapt it for this carousel, but I'm afraid it's out of my league right now.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI use xmlhttpreq object to add data to the current html file.
It will add to a specifiy place, like after a tag or before a tag
And if it adds too many data after that tag, the whole page will become
big and need to scroll down to see the latest added data
how to let it scroll down automatically without any annoying scrolling
down?
One way I can use is to use a anchor which is at the bottom of that
page and after i put my data into the textbox and click the link( which
is linked to proper file to process the data but also point to the
anchor) the page will show from the bottom. but the whole page will
first jump up a little space then jump down.
My site gallery loads everything before it appears, and sometimes it can take a while. So I want to add a "loading..." message of some kind. I only want it to show once during the original load, not for each image. Here's a link to the gallery:
