how to make the following two simple image galleries:This one displays a specific image when its link is clicked ((URL address blocked: See forum rules)/tests/gallerysimp.html) And this one displays the previous/next image for whatever's showing ((URL address blocked: See forum rules)/tests/prevnext.html). (During its code, it points to this .js file ((URL address blocked: See forum rules) /tests/ nextPrevious.js).)
My question is, how do I combine those two galleries? How can I make one gallery that contains both kinds of links? Since the two galleries were copied from different places, the names they use aren't the same, and I'm not sure what to change to make it all unified. (I tried fiddling with it for over an hour before giving up.)
I am using a simple prototype slideshow and a more comprehensive jquery slideshow on my website.When these are used on the same webpage on my website there appears to be a collision: (For example)Code:element.attachEvent is not a function[Break on this error] element.attachEvent("on" + actualEventName, responder); How can I avoid the conflict without reverting to a new slideshow?
Currently on my form if you your input dosn't pass my validation you will see an error message and red box will also appear around the input box. The issue is that if you will it out the box will not disappear until you hit submit. Obviously that is because I have PHP validate the form, but I would like for the red border to go away as soon as the conditions are met, which is why I thought, JS would be the best solution.
I know how to write a conditional state in JS but I am not sure ho to echo out different classes based on the conditions.
I'm creating a Dreamweaver CSS site based off a template I purchased.In this site,I want to have page with a gallery of my company's products.So I went to http://smoothgallery.jondesign.net/, used the "Gallery Set" setup, and put it into my web page.It all works GREAT...except the gallery is left-aligned and I want it centered on my page.I'm not all that familiar with css or javascript, and nothing I'm doing is getting my gallery to center.
I've created simple javscript gallery using previous and next links. The problem is that I want fade effect between images like this: [URL] I've pasted few lines of jquery code in my javascript functions but the fade effects aren't the same
I created an image gallery which displays 63 images in a slideshow. The problem is that the show was slow because each image loaded one at a time during the show. No problem right? I just did a preload script. But then the user has to sit for 5 minutes waiting for 63 images to download! My images are about 640x480 and average 100kb. Is this too much for one page to load? Should I load my slideshow into differerent windows? If so, don't I have the same problem with my loading time?
I'm developing a website and I am using a slideshow done in jquery which works fine on all pages expect the gallery page.On the gallery page I am using Lightbox2 but as soon as I add the js files to this page the slideshow stop working and only shows one image.
I am looking for a good tutorial on how to do a simple photo gallery. I want to photo gallery to transition by using arrows to go back and forth. I found a few tutorials but none that explain it in detail. I am familiar with jquery but not too familiar with java. Here is an example of the gallery I would like to create:[URL]
Ive searched everywhere for an image gallery script which shows only thumbnails. -Ive found none =/ What i want is something like this: [URL] BUT i do want just the small thumbnails thats slideable. The below gallery-link is what I want, but it should be sliding like the thumbnails in the above gallery so that I don't have to place 100 pictures in one page. [UR:] Ive found galleries in flash, but it would be great to not have to use flash.. an1 knows about a script like the one in my description? Im not awsome at scripts. I know a little, and have tried to modify some scripts, but ive given up :)
I'm looking for a super-simple sliding gallery plugin that would produce something similar to this: http://labs.paulicio.us/viewport/ .The only thing is I'd like there to be no visible "next" and "previous" type button until the user mouses-over the gallery. I KNOW I've seen this somewhere but it appears I forgot to bookmark it!
I'd like to add captions to this this simple JavaScript slideshow. I have looked and looked and can't find one that doesn't use tables for the captions. I'd really like to stick to <divs> if possible.
Code JavaScript: <script language="JavaScript"> var i = 0; var path = new Array();
HI'm have set up a gallery site, pretty standard stuff with thumbnails to the right and big image to the left. I would like to add a fade in on the big image when the thumbnail is clicked and don't really know how to implement it.The big images are contained in a div called <#left> while the thumbs are within a div called <div class="gallery">
I am trying to customize the navigation on The Simple Controls Gallery.so that instead of the play buttons being displayed the anchor links are the ones that are being cycled through.immediately received an error indicating that an element had not been called correctly. How do I call those anchor links correctly.I place the javascript call on the links themselves which provided me with the functionality of pressing each one to make the gallery advance forward or backwards, but how would I make it so that as the images rotate the anchor links hightlight giving an indication of what the current image link is?
I'm working on a site for a college javascript class, but I want to do a little bit more with my class site. I have a very simple slideshow set up( as a pop-up), but I want the images to be clickable and take the person to a site. Specifically, I have images for books on amazon, and I want the person to be able to click on the images and be taken to the specific page where the book is sold.
I'll post what I have, I was wondering what would be the best way to integrate it into my slideshow.
<body onblur="self.close()"> <div style="text-align: center;"> <p>If you like this site, you will love these<br /> wonderful books. Click <a href="http://www.amazon.com">here</a>
've got a fairly simple slideshow object which takes an array of images and rotates through them, with a fade between each picture. But it seems to use a fair amount of cpu, especially on IE, a little less so on firefox. Any ideas on how to optimise this? I'm concerned that the way the object refers to itself may not be the most efficient.
Code: function picSlideShow(elementID, picArray) { var self=this; this.id = elementID; this.picArray = picArray;
What I want to do is change the border of several images on the page to show a 4px border. There are many images on the page so I just want to call the changeborder() function on the onClick event so as the image that has been clicked changes. However, I don't think using this.style.border to identify the element works when placed within the function. That is, how do I identify, from the function, which image has been clicked? My current code (which does not work) looks like this but I am sure its possible to gather what i'm trying to achieve:
is there a way how to detect if mouse is over the border table and over cell border? and if yes, when user click and host button and move mouse cursor (to increase cell width) which event should i detect ?
I have an image gallery and wish to add previous and next buttons to work alongside the numbered links
here is the page with the javascript and html.

I've got this little chunk of code running on my freelance portfolio site - on each page (different sections of my portfolio) I have 6 thumbnails and a full sized graphic with some descriptive info, you click the thumbnail and it switches the graphic and other info, that all works fine.But on one page I have some web stuff and I'd like to make the var 'clientinfo' into a link to go to the client's website. I know I need to add an array with the website links, but then I'm not sure how to implement it into the html, I've tried various things I've found on here but I'm not getting anywhere on my own. I know it's something pretty simple (for someone who knows what they're doing) but I just can't seem to grasp it.
the js is like this: $(function() { $(".image").click(function() {
I have a JQuery script that gives a neat effect on the navigation and want to include a simple fading slideshow on the same page.Any script I have tried for the slideshow either uses JQuery or Mootools and it conflicts with the navigation script.Can anyone recommend a smooth fading slideshow that wouldn't conflict or suggest how I can get around this. I read a bit about 'no conflict' but don't understand how to implement it.
