Where images of cars appear in a slideshow and the special effect shows the image opening up from the center.
Are there any Javascript/AJAX, etc type galleries I can use to achieve this same effect?
For some reason the gallery image isnt poping up in a window, it just opens it in a separate page. Anyway able to assist?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm creating a Dreamweaver CSS site based off a template I purchased.In this site,I want to have page with a gallery of my company's products.So I went to http://smoothgallery.jondesign.net/, used the "Gallery Set" setup, and put it into my web page.It all works GREAT...except the gallery is left-aligned and I want it centered on my page.I'm not all that familiar with css or javascript, and nothing I'm doing is getting my gallery to center.

problem is that the show was slow because each image loaded one at a time
during the show. No problem right? I just did a preload script. But then the
user has to sit for 5 minutes waiting for 63 images to download! My images
are about 640x480 and average 100kb. Is this too much for one page to load?
Should I load my slideshow into differerent windows? If so, don't I have the
same problem with my loading time?
I'm developing a website and I am using a slideshow done in jquery which works fine on all pages expect the gallery page.On the gallery page I am using Lightbox2 but as soon as I add the js files to this page the slideshow stop working and only shows one image.

I've found a post regarding this issue but it's a little bit different this time.So I've created a .php script which creates some galleries where users can click them and browse their respective photos. It works like a charm in Chrome and FireFox, but IE doesn't like it.With this code:

When I click on the gallery thumb it should open the first photo in fancybox and browsing through the gallery should by peanuts. And it is, but with IE just opens the .jpg in a blank page without fancybox. The strange thing is I've used the same script approach in another website and the fancybox works just fine with IE too. So why doesn't in this case?

My question is, how do I combine those two galleries? How can I make one gallery that contains both kinds of links? Since the two galleries were copied from different places, the names they use aren't the same, and I'm not sure what to change to make it all unified. So Im trying to create a slideshow with thumbnails the user can scroll through and use to navigate the slideshow. I'm a big fan of cycle so I wanted to use that as my main slideshow component and was planning on using jcarousel for the pager. So far it works great in Firefox, Chrome, and Safari, yet in IE the thumbnails are not loading. I'm guessing it has something to do with how the images in the pager are generated and then jcarousel just isnt proccessing that in IE but I 'm not sure. I feel like I'm very close to getting this slideshow to work, yet I need to figure out why it is failing in IE.

When the content is truncated in the middle of a tag, the tag shows (which makes the UI downright ugly). I wanted to get the numbers like /([0-9]*)/
But this fails and returns nothing because the string begins with letters. Instead I had to do /[a-zA-Z ]*([0-9]*)/
If that's the case then, why do we bother with something like
/^[a-zA-Z]*([0-9]*)$/
The pattern is already assumed to start at the beginning of the string
Right now, I am busy preparing a website on which I want to 'exhibit' some of the paintings I've done in the last few years. Okay, it's only amateur stuff, I think it would be nice to be able to show some of my work to the world. My site will consist of a set of simple frameset pages; in the largest of these frames, I plan to put scans of the actual works, in other frames there will be a title, a menu, some additional texts and so on. Obviously, I want to present my images optimally. But of course, it's quite impossible to predict what size my 'painting frame' will be.
That is why I would <i>love</i> to have a piece of Javascript code
1) That will put my images exactly in the middle of the painting frame (aligned both vertically and horizontally),
2) That will use as much of the available space as possible, and
3) That will keep the aspect ratio of each image intact.
I've tried the nice 'Full Size Image' script that Eddie Traversa once made, but unfortunately, his script just fills up the entire frame space, distorting either the height or the width of the image concerned. You'll onderstand why this is not what I need here. In case you are interested: some of the paintings I did can be seen in a book I am also working on, PANTACYCLOPEDIA [URL] - I've used some of them as illustrations there.

I want to create a rectangle with a line in the middle with the canvas object. The problem is that the line in the middle gets bigger than the rest of the rectangle. How do I solve this? I believe it has something to do with shadows. If so, how do I turn them off.
