Fill A Div With Html/php Page Without A Submit?
Feb 5, 2010
I have earned a site of my sportclub. I'm busy to make this new step by step. At this moment there is not dynamically -not a database behind- and the site exist of all single html pages.
Now I started already and partly there is for the teams a database behind (MySQL). Now I want to change the 'face-design' first and I have made a new design/layout. I'm working with PHP/MySQL. I have made a CSS menu with a content area.
And now I was asking myself is it possible when I click on the menu item, that the content area will be filled with a existing single html/php page? When it is possible I think it has to be done with javascript - client side.
Alternative is of course to do it with a submit and php. But I should like to do it completely at the client side and fill the div of the content because it gives more rest - less flickering. Where I'm thinking about is something like this:
Code:
document.getElementById('ShowContent').innerHTML = team.php;
But this doesn't work. But if somebody knows a way or has a good alternative.... I like to know

[URL]
allows you to type into the text box and using ajax query the database for relevant movies or whatever.
upon clicking the movie choice another text box appears unless you click on the Next button.
Not sure how to do this, is this done with DOM or a blur event or what?
looking for a push in the right direction to emulate this.

I am setting up a form to enter a chat queue on my website for work. The form script comes from the company we are using to host the chat, but the problem is that customers don't have to fill out anything to enter the queue. I want the users to have to fill out 3 of the 5 fields before they are able to click the sumbit button. I've found a few scripts on the web that looked they like would work, but they were all for radio selections, and I don't have enough javascript knowledge to switch the correct parameters to work with input.
This is the script I am using;
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "[URL]">
<html xmlns="[URL]">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
</head>
<body>
<form name="channel00000" action="[URL]" method="post"> .....
I need the name, comment1, and comment4 sections to be filled out before the submit will go through. I don't care if the button is not available until they are filled or a popup that asks for them to be filled out, just so long as they can't enter chat without us knowing their name and whatnot. From what I understand, the bulk of the form script needs to stay the same so it directs to us and not another company.

I used the "CreateBubblePopup", filling it with html directly in javascript. Until now, it was working fine. For some reasons, now I need to write this HTML inside the page (in a hidden div), and then load this html inside the bubble when it's created. Here is the code :
HTML :
<a class="bubble" href="..." >
<img alt="Détail" src="plus.png" />
<div class="hidden">Here is the HTML that will be displayed in the bubble.</div>
</a>
[Code]....
It seams that my "popupHtml" variable is always null, no matter what the html in the hidden div is.

I have a page that inserts a div after another div on my page. Basically this div and its content are generated by the server and outputted via Ajax when the user clicks a button.I have something like:
//Listener function
$("div").click( function () {
alert("thing");
});
Clicking any of the divs that were loaded on the page will give this alert however, clicking on this div that was inserted after the user clicks a button does not respond to this listener. I put my rendered html into the w3c validator and my page has no errors (because I thought that maybe I had a missing end tag which would cause jquery to not work).

I am trying to figure how to do the following:
I have 2 pages, Page 1 has a simple form with a field called "Number",
and Page 2 has a button. Whenever the button on Page 2 is clicked, the
browser will be redirected to Page 1 and have the field "Number" filled
automatically with a number which is unique to Page 2.
I am new to Javascript and don't know if this is possible. And if it
is, how to go about doing it.

I would like to program a custom link for my visitors, which will fill a payment form on an external page automatically. As an ultimate goal, I would like to press a link, which will send necessary information to this external page, fill it in the right forms, and press "submit" button there. If there is no way to do all these tasks in only one linkI've tried something like:
<a
href="https://load.payoneer.com/LoadToPage.aspx"
style="cursor:pointer;"

so that the top frame acts like a dedicated browser. The top window controls a selection of links pages in the lower screen. The pages linked to will appear in the lower window as well.
I have already created the frames pages using FrontPage, I just need to fill the whole screen with it and I want it set with the usual buttons found in the upper right hand corner so people can shrink it, enlarge it or close it. And I guess I'd need a foward, back, and refresh button in the top frame as well. Can anyone tell me how or if this can be done?

I am creating a simple "fill form" function for a specific page. The function will fill the form and click submit. after this a second form appears which needs to get filled and also send a click to submit button.
Unfortunately when i append the script dynamically to a page, when the page gets refreshed,after the first submit click, the script stops executing and therefore the second form does not get filled at all.
I searched and found out that if I append the script to an independent frame it will continue executing.
Note that the original pages do not have any frames. so I must somehow create a frame on top, append the script and run it.

I am not familiar with javascript only html, but I have researched this problem and found some solutions, but I am unsure what to do with them.
I have an html checkbox form that lists book titles. The user will click on the checkbox next to the titles that interest them. Then when they click submit, I want a pop-up box to appear with the titles they selected in a printable list.
I found this javascript code:
<script langauge="javascript" type="text/javascript">
function openPreview() {
var myWin = window.open ("popup.htm","myWindowName","width=500,height=350");
myWin.focus();
[Code]....
This code has worked for me when the form is a textarea or a label, but I don't know how to use it with a checkbox form. I know that labeling the form "my input" only works for textarea or labels, so I understand why the pop-up menu says undefined. What do I need to do to get the checkbox data to appear.

I have a form that submits to a third party WCF service. When the form submits it returns html. Based on that html I need my ajax submit to fire a success function according to the reply. The reply is as such:
<HTML><BODY>
<TABLE border='1'>
<TR><TD><b>Field Name</b></TD>
<TD><b>Field Value</b></TD>
</TR><TR>
<TD>SuccessFlag</TD>
<TD>TRUE</TD>
</TR><TR>
<TD>ResponseMessage</TD>
<TD>Service Cancelled</TD>
</TR></TABLE></BODY></HTML>
How would I write a success function if the SuccessFlag returns a TRUE in that td? I have tried
success:
function(data) {
var useTD = $(data).find('table').children('tbody tr td:nth(4)');
if (useTD == 1) {
$("#request").remove();
$("#requestSuccess").fadeIn("slow");
} else {
$("#request").remove();
$("#requestError").fadeIn("slow");
}
To no avail. I have also tried using the :contains but I can't get that right either.

I'm developing a web app in which I have a file upload option. The thing is, my file input is hidden, and instead, a textbox and a button are used, in order to style the input, copy the file input's value and allowing the user write a link address into the textbox (the php upload page recognizes the text in the textbox and takes action if the text is a hyperlink or a file upload).
The problem is, when I submit the form, the php is catching the file input's value as empty. So I removed the hidden property of the file input, in order to check what was wrong, and I noticed the input's value is being reset on form submit. When not hidden it takes me two button clicks to submit the form, being the first one the responsible for cleaning the file input. Though, if I assign it's value directly from the input object, it works perfectly.
Here's the code:

I have a web page with two forms, when I click the button on one of the forms, the onclick event goes to a javascript that emails the first form and then the second form. This is correct, this is the way I want this to work. It's simple, it's easy, it works!
However, it only works in FireFox and Internet Explorer, it will not work in Google Chrome browser.
I've spent many hours trying lots of various ways to implement this so I'm not interested in speculating about possible solutions that might work, I've already tried too many of those.
Also, it needs to work this way, not combining the forms, etc.
Does anyone have any tried and tested solutions that work with Chrome? code...
