I have earned a site of my sportclub. I'm busy to make this new step by step. At this moment there is not dynamically -not a database behind- and the site exist of all single html pages.
Now I started already and partly there is for the teams a database behind (MySQL). Now I want to change the 'face-design' first and I have made a new design/layout. I'm working with PHP/MySQL. I have made a CSS menu with a content area.
And now I was asking myself is it possible when I click on the menu item, that the content area will be filled with a existing single html/php page? When it is possible I think it has to be done with javascript - client side.
Alternative is of course to do it with a submit and php. But I should like to do it completely at the client side and fill the div of the content because it gives more rest - less flickering. Where I'm thinking about is something like this:
I am setting up a form to enter a chat queue on my website for work. The form script comes from the company we are using to host the chat, but the problem is that customers don't have to fill out anything to enter the queue. I want the users to have to fill out 3 of the 5 fields before they are able to click the sumbit button. I've found a few scripts on the web that looked they like would work, but they were all for radio selections, and I don't have enough javascript knowledge to switch the correct parameters to work with input.
This is the script I am using; <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "[URL]"> <html xmlns="[URL]"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> </head> <body> <form name="channel00000" action="[URL]" method="post"> .....
I need the name, comment1, and comment4 sections to be filled out before the submit will go through. I don't care if the button is not available until they are filled or a popup that asks for them to be filled out, just so long as they can't enter chat without us knowing their name and whatnot. From what I understand, the bulk of the form script needs to stay the same so it directs to us and not another company.
I have a form with 9 text fields and a text area. What I want to do is replace the text in the text area depending on how many fields contain text. For example my text boxes are named 1 to 9, if the user enters text in the first five boxes I want the text area to auto fill with 'you have selected boxes 1 to 5' if the user selects all nine it will say 'you have selected 1 to 9', therefore, the user must complete the text boxes in order. I have it working with an onchange event but i have a button on the form to also auto fill the text boxes and it does not work if this is clicked
how do i get it/what is the source code so when one java pop up appears when my page is visited another one appears over the top of it like in windows when they is 2 boxes but one overlaps the other one
I'm trying to write a macro, but I'm lost. So say if I have an array of keywords to check for on a web page, var keywords=new Array(); keywords[0]="You are a cat"; keywords[1]="Are you a robot"; keywords[2]="Have a good summer"; How would I make a function that checks the currently opened web page for one of the specific keywords. And if that keyword is found, then execute some action - and if not, then execute some other action?
I have an online web2phone sms phone book, with a list of users phone numbers.
Now when users want to send sms, they select from the multiple options, which is gotten from the databse with their phone numbers. I would want the value of the check boxes to appear in the text field area sepearted by commas. PLEASE NOTE;
1. The values of the checkboxes are dynamic and picked from the databse 2. The value to appear in the textfield area are the phone numbers and should be sepearted by commas Can anyone assist me ? Code:
trying to find a example of when you hover over a image, text appears on the bottom
so it could be a picture of a dog, whne you put your mouse over it, text will show in the picture (ie* transparent background for text so it's readable)
I have an HTC (Thanks to Beetle) that auto fills a field as a user key strokes letters into a text box. Except for one thing everything works great. The one thing is if a use types somethin in that is found, accepts it (tabs out of the field) the goes back to the first letter and trys to change the case (upper to lower or vise versa) it gets an error "invalid argument". I cannot seem to figure out why it would error. Below I have all of the code HTML and HTC should be easy Code:
How can i fill a text box after select one item from a select box ? if i select below 4610R-04490101 the text box must have the 490 team value [code]...
So I have some custom images as the background to my menu images, however I also have the text showing too, as can be seen here: [URL] How do I delete the text, so that just the image is showing. I have tried looking in all the php files, html files etc etc, even using windows grep to search for the files. However I cannot find them at all!
What im trying to do is for each item selected from the drop down, display its value in a text box (GAC). I have attached a picture of the image to clarify.
The drop down items are populated from a database, and each item has an associated GAC value. The remaining inputs are user supplied and all the inputs including the drop down item and its value are is stored in a different table in the database.
I have a script to display 2 dropdown lists. Selecting the first list will populate the second with items. But what I want then is, items in the second are already in a array (this works) they also have a code and this code I want to display in a text input, when selecting an specific item in the second list. (I can display the item selected in the second list (but want the code behind that item to be displayed in the text field). Function assignprojectnum shows the item in the text field now.
Here is the code I use.
Code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html>

I use a ticketing website at a call center. I have javascript injection bookmarks with some of the more common issues, but my issue is even after I populate everything when I try to submit the ticket, it won't recognize that somethign is there unless i go through and hit enter in each form i autopopulated. Most are drop down lists. Is there any way to submit each form(when i hit enter) after the text gets entered in there?
I want to use a text link to submit a form and get the POST values instead of an ugly submit button which is difficult to style. I thought it would be simple but I can't do it - whats the problem with this .js?
The problem is I can't get the $_POST variables to perform some conditional logic. I want the user to answer a question submit the form to itself and test the result.
I can do this fine with a submit button but a text link styled as a button looks much better. Do I have to use ajax() function or something to send the from variables to a PHP script?
a user types in his email, and clicks submit he is then taken to the thank you page. he clicks back and his email is still there.
I want the email not to be there. I can change the value of the text field onload but this doesnt work when you click back only when the page is reloaded. i can change the value on submit but this is wrong because then the wrong value is submitted.

<a href="#" onclick="document['form1'].submit(); return false" >search</a> have written the follwoing script for making a textlink to submit a formit works fine. with this i want to pass a flag or a value and retrived at the serverside
I know how to submit via a text link, using document.frmname.submit(), but you can not attach a value to the A tag, so you can't have several submit links within one form.
I need to do this however! I want to have several text links within one form - submitting to the actionpage, and based on the value of the submit, it will do something different.
Ok, so I know I can do this without problems using the input tag and submit buttons, or I could use seperate form tags for each link, but that would mean a lot of repeating code, and I want to make this as compact as possible.
