View 2 Repliesthere are a lot of different scripts out there to sort a table with multiple
columns. However, I want to do something specific.
I have a table that is "spread" accross multiple pages. Usually, when a user
wants to change the page, what you do is compute indexes in the server and
return the modified list. But that's not what I want to do, I want to be
able to navigate through the pages AND be able to sort the columns within
the client screen.
Does anyone know of a good example of something like that ? I know it can be
done, I would have to write the entire data in the client side, and then
manipulate it with indexes and sorts. I am very much able to write such
data, but should "delete" and "add" new table Elements (in a way that is
browser compatible) or show/hide <TRelements, maybe overwrite these table
rows?
I was wondering if this is somehow trivial so you can suggest a coding
strategy or if anyone knows a good page that displays this possibility.
How do I use Javascript to loop through all the spreadsheets contained in 1 excel file?
I am now at the stage where I can open the Excel file and find a value on 1 spreadsheet. Is there any way to detect if the workbook has multiple spreadsheets and then loop through all the spreadsheets to find a value?
I would like to explore a project using javascript . The project is kind of similar to the 3D Room feature on mydeco [URL] and click on 'Design a 3D room' (about a third of the way down the page). The application allows the user to position 3D items in a 3D room as well as viewing that 3D room from two additional angles. I would like to create something similar but for a different use.
Basically it would have similar features as the 3D room but with the following differences:
- There would be no 3D elements/images. All would be 2D.
- The 3D room builder has a panel on the right which allows users to navigate to images via categories. My app would still have the right hand panel, but the images would be 2D
- The rest of the window would just have a single main 2D image in it.
- The user would drop/position 2D images from the right hand panel, on to the main 2D image.
- There would be no need for additional views or for any rendering of images.
- It would have the other functionality at the top of the window such as save, share, undo, redo etc. An additional function would be needed to allow the user to adjust images to be 'above' or 'below' other images.
Also, is there any reason this app opens in a new window instead of running on the website itself?
I want to get some idea of what methods there are to center a div element.If you know a cool method please show us how it's done using this jsfiddle dummy to start

Click OK to close the dialog box.
Right-click the font symbol in the library and select Linkage from the contextual menu.In the Linkage Properties dialog box, click the Export for ActionScript button to enable both the Identifier and AS 2.0 Class text input fields. It is important that I find a reliable method because the application must be self-contained so it can be easily shared. Below is a sample of my current approach:

After just a few images it creates a very large javascript file. Seems like it is pretty inefficient as far as code goes.Goals of optimal approach: Must work in IE6/7 and All other modern browsers. Performance must be a high priority It will only be used for small icons Can use javascript, jquery, css, base64, or any combination.
I am trying to figure out how to use the YouTube embed code but allow the user to paste the specific url to the video he wants to show on the Flash player. I think that to make this work that I will have to either load the information into a SQL database and call it from there or have javascript write the entire embed code with the value video1 as the source but I don't have very much experience with either.
