I've adapted a simple script for a dynamic form using hide/display so users can answer some questions and depending on their replies they are shown a different result at the end.The problem is when I tested it in IE8 because I don't use it much I have default settings which are not allowing scripts, so it basically doesn't work! Nothing is hidden.If I click on the yellow bar to allow the script it will work, but I don't know that I should rely on users doing that.
Is there a different sort of form I could use? If so please point me in the right direction. I have limited javascript knowledge so I need a script I can adapt rather than writing from scratch.My code is like this.

I am having an issue dynamically displaying a table row.
What I would like to accomplish is when I click the show label, the 2nd row of the table is made visiable but it also remains in the table order (all td elements should align).
The below code works in IE but in Netscape, both the label and the text box apear in the first TD element instead of having the label appear in the first TD element and the text box apearing in the 2nd TD element. Does anyone know a way around this so the code works in both IE and Netscape? Code:

I have an onclick that triggers ajax which calls a php script to pull data from MySQL. This information is then displayed in a div. The problem I am having is that sometimes pulling the data from MySQL takes 2-3 seconds, so the div is empty for about 2-3 seconds. How would I go about adding an animated "Loading" gif to display in the div while it is waiting to display the content?

I need a JavaScript (or something else) that will fade out the web site, on load, and display a series of images, then display a "Continue" button to go back to the web site. I have an idea for a cute (and funny) way to get people interested in my site that has a weird name. I searched high and low (Google!, amongst others) for anything that would be close to what I need, to no avail.

I am working on a Javascript application and i am facing a strange behavior of the application in IE. I am creating a table at runtime using DHTML and registering event for the table row click. When i deploy this application on web server and browse the application, the events fires in firefox and chrome but in IE the events are not fired. If i browse the application from the server with localhost, the application triggers the events and fails when i use machine name.

I have an input text field with an add/submit button - it's purpose is to add tags to an article created in a CMS. Whenever a tag is entered
1) I am using a click listener on the submit button
2) and am calling Jquery.load() to perform some checks/validation and
4) add the tag to the database
5) then retrieve the new set of tags for that article and inject them into the DOM.
Therefore there are two click listerners in my header:
1 for the submit button:
$('#tags_submit').click(function() {
var tag = document.getElementById('tags_search').value;
var article_id = document.getElementById('a_id').value;
$('#tags_results').load(submit_link, {tags_search: tag, a_id: article_id});
