I found this script on this forum and I'm trying to modify it so it will open one iframe after so many seconds then open a second iframe after a few more seconds. How would you do that?
Currently, I have one of the iframes working. When you click on it text below appears with information about the jewelry.
I would like an iframe to open up (immediately to the left of the image) and show an enlarged image of the thumbnail (yes I know right now the images are not thumbnails, but my friends are working on the graphics).
I have an Iframe and some links to different pages. I have the code set up so that it changes the "src" to display the new page. The reason I have it set this was is because I want to be able to manipulate the content in the Iframe. I want to be able to hidden a portion of the new page once it is rendered in the iframe. This is what i have so far. Basically I need my intoIframe function to execute only after the has fully executed. How I accomplish this
Code: function completeView(){ var tds = document.getElementById("alinks"); var link = tds.getElementsByTagName("a"); for ( i=0; i<link.length - 1; i++){ if ( i > 0){ link[i].onclick = function(){ showDoc(this); return false; }}}} addLoadEvent(completeView);
function showDoc(whichDoc){ if (!document.getElementById || !document.getElementsByTagName || !document.getElementById("viewer"))return false; var source = whichDoc.getAttribute("href"); var placeholder = document.getElementById("viewer"); placeholder.setAttribute("src",source); }
function intoIframeUP(){ if (window.frames[0] != null){ alert('Frame is here');} var mine = window.frames[0].document.getElementsByTagName("body")[0].innerHTML; var sharepoint = window.frames[0].document.body.innerHTML; alert(sharepoint); }
How do I position multiple Iframes on a webpage? Specifically, is it possible to wrap-around text around iframes? or even more specific, like surround an iframe that is centered on a page with text?
Im generating multiple iFrames with javascript based on how many times the user clicks an Add button. Each click generates one iFrame. All the iFrames are being generated with the same id/name. What Im having Javascript trouble with is A) figuring out which iframe is which by number (myframe[0], myframe[1], myframe[2],etc) and B) how many iframes are on the page. For A) is there a way to tell what the number value is besides hard coding it? Right now Ive been playing with this in the src page.. window.frameElement.id but that just returns "myframe" and not the number. Ideally I would like to find the number as its being created on the parent page instead of getting it from the src page, here's what I have now for that...
Does someone have an working example of the following: Select records from a database, display the first 10, and after 30 seconds, display the next 10 without refreshing the page.Then, when no more records, start over.
I have a group of 4 divs and I'm looking to use jQuery to animate them once, then have a delay using delay(), and then run another set of animations on them, putting the divs back to their original configuration. Here's the code that I have:
//only selectors called 'option1' are affected by delay, and not 'option1 img' or 'option2' $("#option1").showOption1().delay(3000).hideOption1(); //if i don't attach to #option1, delay doesn't work, but the animations that need to happen simultaneously work
[Code]....
will work from hideOption1() after the delay. The rest of hideOption1() is fired immediately after showOption1() finishes, ignoring the delay.
On the other hand, if I run line 5, all the code in hideOption1() runs simultaneously as desired, but ignores the delay entirely, running immediately after showOption1() finishes. How can I have all the code in hideOption1() run simultaneously after the delay?
the situation: I'm building a web page, and the client wants to have three flash galleries on staggered timing (i.e., the first one loads and runs, 4 seconds later the second loads and runs, 4 seconds later, third one loads and runs).
I've been trying to figure out how to use Javascript to handle the initial delay between each object, and the best I can figure is to use an onLoad to start the first flash (Flash1), and then call out a function with setTimeout to start Flash2 4 seconds after Flash1 loads, and the same thing for Flash3. However, my attempts thus far have failed, and all three load up at the same time.
We have a verylarge web application that has a top page with multiple, childIFrames living "above" it. We are beginning to use JQuery and wonder if it might be possible to have a single copy of JQuery residing on the top page and reference it from multiple IFrame child pages. The goal is to reduce the memory footprint by avoiding the need for a copy of JQuery in each child IFrame.
I'm currently working on a browser based 2d multiplayer rpg using PHP and ajax. As the number of beta testers has increased, I have found that there is a significant amount of lag involved in changing maps (maps are 480x480px ea consisting of multiple images. What I would *like* to do, ideally, is only load each image once. So the first time I encounter "grass1.png", for example, it is loaded into div id "grass1", and never needs to be loaded again. My question is this, is it possible, to do the above, and then call div id "grass1" for each instance of the image?
This way, I could store all images encountered thus far. When the player left a map, all images would be positioned off-screen, and moved into the field of view as needed. I am already doing this, but there is a div for each unique object. (meaning there could be 10+ divs for the same image, for just one single map!). This would be much more efficient if I were able to call and store just one div per image, and just display it multiple times in multiple places.
I have a dynamically generated table, filled from a database by a perl application.
Each row represents a database record and has a 'status' and a unique 'id'.
What I want to do is create buttons to hide all rows with a particular status. The code to show/hide is relatively easy, but how do I turn them all off at once?
Several ideas I had:
1. Set the tr's 'id' attribute to the status (eg 'open') and then set that id to display: none. But that only turns off the first one.
2. Do the same but somehow loop over all elements looking for that id.
3. Set the tr's 'id' attribute to the status plus the data's id (eg 'open.24') then loop over all elements matching the status with a regexp.
4. Doing something else that I haven't thought of yet.
I need a script that will allow a user to select a vertical selection and Horizontal selection that displays a corresponding image. There are only 8 combinations (4 vertical choices and 2 horizontal choices) I just need to display the correct image and a description. There has to be only one of each selected and only display one image.[URl]..
I have 9 select menus that are populated by a php for loop. Each has a numeric value that is displayed base on the selection (which I have working).I can not figure out how to sum all of these values and display them in a <div> tag.what I have thus far:
// Part of a function that creates drop down boxes <select name="$name" onchange="document.getElementById('cost_$name').firstChild.nodeValue = this.options[this.selectedIndex].getAttribute('cost_$name')">
I'm trying to set up a page that has one big image slider that displays a set of images by default. Then underneath this there are links for more galleries, and when you click on them they load right there in the big image slider. I don't want these links to go to a new page. What I'm after is demonstrated at this URL: First Comes Love **|** Wedding Photography by Alison Bank
How do I set this up? I'm thinking I need some kind of preload images code?
I am considering using Nivo Slider, but open to suggestions. Also, I'm building my site in Wordpress if that has any impact.
First of all, I'm an absolute newb in jQuery. My problem: I have let's say 3 square div's. Beneath these div's are 3 hidden div's, but they are on the same place in the layout. If one of the top div's gets hovered the corresponding bottom div should display, while the rest should hide. And if you move your mouse out of one of those 3 top divs, while not hovering over another, the correspondingbottom div should not change but just stay visible. I searched a while on the internet, but have not yet found anything that fits my needs or for which I have the skills to adjust it.
I'm wondering if there's a way to have multiple row carousel implemented.
I use jCarouselLite.. [url]
To be more specific, here's what I have:
And this is what I would like to accomplish:
I do realize that placing multiple items withing the <li></li> would be one approach, however I can't do that since the items are generated dynamically. The structure of my data (items) is an unordered list:
Using "float: left" & "clear: left" messes up the whole structure...
Any ideas how to display 9 items at a time on 2 rows?
I am building a jurisdiction calculator for issues on/off Indian reservations. I'd like the user to select 3 variables (radio buttons would also work) - whether the victim is Indian/Non, the perpetrator is Indian/Non, and whether the crime occurred On/Off a reservation and have a div that displays the possible jurisdiction outcomes based on the selections.For instance, if the user selects Victim: Non-Indian, Perp: Indian, Location: On reservation, the possible jurisdiction results would appear.
I am looking for a push in the right direction for a few problems i am running into; my first problem is I have to create a script element that contains the function amountTotal which should return the sum of all the values in the amount array. There are no parameters for this function, and I have to add the following commands to it.
1. declare a variable named total with an initial value of 0
2. create a for loop thatloops through all of the values in the amount array, at each iteration of the loop, add the current value of the array item to the value of the total variable.
3. and after the for loop is completed, return the value of the total variable.
The amount array has already been created and populated in a list.js file, I had to first create a script element pointing to it.
This is what i had for my link to the list.js file and funtion :
I have my entire code written but i am trying to break it up and fix my problems 1 at a time: when i open the code, it does'nt display correctly ( which is another problem) but I ran the debugger and it says my total is undefined. ( this is in another section of my code), but I guess my function is wrong somewhere.
I want to load a javascript file on a root page with various iframes, then call the javascript functions from the root page to be displayed in the iframes. Any idea how to do this?
I have a mainpage and it contains iframe (myFrame). A js function validatedata() is on iframe. before submitting mainform in mainpage i am calling validatedata() function as below. mybool = document.myFrame.validatedata();
This works in IE 6.0 but fails on mozilla firefox.
I have a webpage with some divs and iframes in them, I have some Javascript code in another page in one of the iframes that when activated, will change the page within the other iframe. The code I have throws the following error:
'null' is null or not an object
and it is complaning abou the following bit of code:
var obj = document.getElementById("frame2"); obj.src = new_src;
But I am not sure if the code is the correct code anyway. Can anyone assist please? Please find below my complete code, hopefully you can spot what's going on. Here is my 'index.htm' file: Code:
