I have the below code that pulls selected data from checkboxed rows in a table and puts it in to a 2-D array. It then takes it and creates an excel file that the user should be able to "Save As.." I've spent the last few hours trying to make the jump from prototype to jquery. I'm trying to use jQuery's crossbrowser event handling but I can't seem to register the event. I've tried lots of combinations and permutations that I've seen on the web but nothing seems to be working so I must be missing something.

I have a problem with the trigger event. I'm using a function that opens a curtain by clicking an image. I wish to use the trigger event to automatically register a click on that image so the curtain opens automatically. I've been messing with it and have had it work successfully in Chrome but not FF.

I want to add a global event handler for mousedown that will register whenever the user clicks anywhere on the page but I'm having trouble.This is what I'm trying to do:

But the event handler is never called. I can't even seem to get access to the body. Is the body tag the wrong place to be assigning the mousedown handler? I'm trying to make this code work correctly in both IE and firefox.

It is suposed to cut down on posts to the server and is written entirley with client side javascript. There should really be ony one post to the server when the clients' order is complete and the adjustable table is posted.The cart table in 'register' window has two viewable rows and has a scrollable window in the Y plane. One fixed Header and The getElementsbyClassName works with 'sumsubtotal()' but not with 'qtymultiply()' and this might be a result of refrencing the same class 'itemrow' twice even though I've declared them localy within seperate functions, my guess is that the getElementsByClassName is global and can only refrence the class 'itemrow' once?

In the application ,the user can input data via interfaces in the page which is chosen and read from a master xml file , the chosen data then needs to be stored and saved in a xml file.I have designed the web page in FrontPage.
Now the problem i face is while trying to save the output xml file i get error Permission Denied , error code 0 . This happens when i try to open the page in browser IE 6.0 SP2.I am using DOM parser methods for doing the xml manipulations/savings etc.urprisingly this works in another machine.Also can i use the all of the same javascript code if i want to run it in an IIS. Do i have to do some changes to make it server side javascript code.
