I am trying to create a button that when clviked on it will pop up 9 error boxes at random and the user clicks onthem as fast as he/ she can and when the error oxes are done there is a message that asks if you want more here is my code:
View 1 RepliesTrying to click (onClick) an animated gif image of an on/off switch to start a second animation which is located on a different location on the web-page (a 7-frame animation of a generator with moving parts) immediately followed by a random image selection function placing an image in a 3rd location on the page (next to the generator image). The random images are supposed to look like the result of the generator animation---the item that �pops out� of the generator.
We thought the process to achieve this would be an �OnClick� on the on/off switch-animated-gif to start two javascript functions (generato animation function & random image function). To further complicate matters, we are doing this website in iWeb. We�re using iWeb SEO Tool to add the javascript to the header and HTML snippet in iWeb to place the HTML code. Not sure we�re actually doing the snippet right though---is it supposed to relate to the images---or is it separate? When the gifs are place on the iweb page, they work in the browser upon page load---the �on-click� & the random image function are NOT working...so we know we�ve done something(s) wrong.
We�re thinking that we�re probably missing some code that describes where the 3 different image-spots are on the page (image #1 is the on/off switch gif, image#2 is the generator gif, image#3 is the generator output.png)....or just aren�t coding the string of functions correctly---or maybe our strategy for achieving this is just no correct (?).Here is the code we have tried that didn�t work.

1. What is the benifit of having the above code with "window.onload" and "for loop" and loop through the forms if I only have ONE form in html?
2. What is this line of code "document.forms[i].onsubmit" saying? Does it mean "Execute function() when submit button within form[i] has been pressed?"

I have a script which allows me to select random users from one select field to another and works like a charm, but...I want to be able to get random users from one select field to multiple (lets say 2) other select fields...So lets say that I have 5 users in the first field (select1):

Have an example with an orderform for two products. The form has columns of textboxes. Split in a lot of sections (showing the first two as an example) These textboxes are then sent to a PHP script. But I want to validate that the form is correct first. In the last section I have two textboxes "sum_amount1" and "sum_amount2". Basically I want to add up all amount1[] boxes into sum_amount1. Not using textbox1 + textbox2 etc. but instead using a for loop.

I have been looking at this code for two evenings now, and rewrote it 4 times already. It started out as jQuery code and now it's just concatenating strings together.
What I'm trying to do: Build a menu/outline using unordered lists from a multidimensional array.
What is happening: Inside the buildMenuHTML function, if I call buildMenuHTML, the for loop only happens once (i.e. only for 'i' having a value of '0'.) If I comment out the call to itself, it goes through the for loop all 3 times, but obviously the submenus are not created.

I'm looking to send a loop variable (i) to a function inside the loop, but I can't seem to get it to use the value I want, it keeps making it a reference of i and therefore the function is always called using the last value of i rather than the one it was set with.
So if i have 5 Tabs then Tab 1, when clicked, should call DefaultTabClick(0) and so on rather than always using 4 for any of the tabs.

I got the code to do the first column (box 1 and 2). But I don't know how to add a second column (box 3 and 4).
What happens is that when I click on a button, a random string from the RandomString variable appears below the button. e.g I click on the button and it displays 'AAB' and then if I click on the button again it may display 'AAE' and etc.
The problem is that sometimes it displays 'undefined'. I don't wanit 'undefined' to appear but why does it sometimes display 'undefined' rather than a Random string.

I have a form where a user enters a number in a text box (txtTickets). When that number is entered, I need to create an equal number of select boxes. I've found code examples which show how to dynamically add or delete options from a select box, but I have found no examples which deal with this specific scenario. The select options do not depend on user input -- that is, I do not need to populate it dynamically. I need to create them dynamically. Has anyone created something similar to this?

(I am trying to avoid alert boxes.) I only have two fields, and my problem is that only one field is showing an error message. If I place an error in the input for the second field, the error shows up under the first field. How can I get the error messages to show up under the correct form field?
