I've seen on various websites where you can roll over an image or hyper link and a text box pops up. Some are very simple looking while others have graphics. I'm assuming it's done through Javascript but I'm not sure.
I am doing a website project and in that currently I am designing a product page. I have to design add values to text boxes and drag and drop the text boxes in the workspace and delete the text boxes the user does not want and have to draw a graphical line between the text boxes which are in order.I have designed and coded everything except the graphical line part.
I am a learner in javascript and Can we draw a graphical line dynamically between the text boxes in the webpage? If we can draw, can anyone let me know the tutorial for that so that I can learn and start coding as I have to submit that project soon.

I have a form where a user enters a number in a text box (txtTickets). When that number is entered, I need to create an equal number of select boxes. I've found code examples which show how to dynamically add or delete options from a select box, but I have found no examples which deal with this specific scenario. The select options do not depend on user input -- that is, I do not need to populate it dynamically. I need to create them dynamically. Has anyone created something similar to this?
I want to use the values of text boxes on my HTML webpage to create a webpage URL (like below):
<script type="text/javascript">
My text boxes are as follows:
Now this all works and the result webpage URL prints to id='ID1', but the big question is how do I use this resulting URL in another Javascript section as the src="?
I have just joined this website in order to get some answers for a problem I have my own shoe selling business and have recently created my own website. I taught myself a few tricks from books and a friend was on hand to help me also. What I would like to do is make images of my shoes 'rollover' images so you can turn the shoe picture around when you hover your mouse over it. Here is an example which in fact allows you to zoom in on images (I would like this function AND a turning 360degrees rollover of the image too: DuobootsObviously I am a complete amateur and only know simple HTML codes and have found other advice I have received inconclusive
I'm using Jquery to create a rollover effect on 2 images (placed on top of each other) to fade the bottom image in on a mouseover and out on a mouse out. Clicking the faded in image also opens a fancybox gallery. The problem is that sometimes the animation (the fade in and out) gets stuck after closing the fancybox window and the mouseover doesn't work anymore.
I would like to create reverse dropdown boxes (that is, dropdown boxes that "drop" the other way around--perhaps "drop-up" boxes could be the closest term I could associate with such elements) for the menu of my personal site; I've seen such menus before, however at the same time I have also neglected to take note of what JavaScripts were used.
how to add up a series of text boxes which contain numbers that a user will input and have the total of those text boxes show up in a quantity text box on the next page.
Not sure if i should use javascript or php, but i don't know how to do it either
I am trying to create a button that when clviked on it will pop up 9 error boxes at random and the user clicks onthem as fast as he/ she can and when the error oxes are done there is a message that asks if you want more here is my code:
I am looking to make an adjustment to this script. I'm trying to find a way to do it as neatly as possible, and without breaking any pre-existing functionality.hat I'm trying to do is have the first section open by default. What makes this a challenge for me is that the boxes that assemble to create the content wrapper are drawn on page initialization.
Instead of doing a regular rollover which would require me to make 50 images with text in photoshop on I want the rollover but want to add the the text in html for exmaple I want something like this [URL]
In the services section with the 8 images you can see how I am TRYING to make the site work. The idea is that when scrolling over an image the related text will appear in the right column. This is to happen for each image with different text for each. The problem (as I'm sure is quite clear from using the site) is that there is a lot of jumping. When an image is not selected the images should stay in 2 columns with text to the right.
"Scroll over the images for a brief description of the services we provide." I doubt I'm describing this well but this is all new to me... I have used javascript to control these rollovers.
is there a way to popup a small 'bubble' or 'balloon' of text when a user lets their pointer rest over a particular part of an image? (an image map)
explorer does this sometime (randomly it seems) when i let my pointer rest of an image that has alt text - it displays the alt text in a speech bubble thing - but only sometimes! so that is no good. also netscape doesn't have this and obviously i want something that'll work in both.
the reason i want to do this is this - i've got a simplyfied map (a geographical map) as a picture. there's a small piece of info i wish to show for each country, but the map is too small to allow me to put the information directly on the map - so i figured popup bubbles would be a good way.
I don't know any Javascript except for using image rollovers with the help of Photoshop and ImageReady, so please excuse my n00b knowledge.
I am looking for a tutorial that, when you cross over an image on one part of the page, text appears on another part of the page (e.g. describing that button).
I have a table with two rows and a single cell in each. The top row will house images(s) that I would like to swap out using rollover text links in a lower cell like: 1 | 2 | 3... '1' would call 'img1.jpg' into the uppermost cell, '2' would call in 'img2.jpg', etc. on rollover.I'm certain this is simple to do, but google hasn't panned out for me so I'm hoping someone can give me a snippet of code to start with and I can manipulate for my purposes.
I am trying to create a chrome extension that can pass text from a text box to a webpage text box. Basically my company has an intranet site where you can search for an employee. The url does not display the search terms so i cant just append to it. Since I cant really work on this outside of work (its an intranet site) i have tried replicating it from home using the let me google that for you (www.lmgtfy.com) site.
I have 6 image buttons that I want to create a rollover caption for. So for each image, when you rollover it a text title appears and thendisappearswhen you rollout. There will be a different title for each image and will be located in the sameposition. I'd also like to have the text fade in and out if it's not to complicated.I already have the following code to create a smooth image rollover:
I'm working on a website and am having trouble figuring out where I can add/edit the text for the navigation buttons, HOME, ABOUT, CONTACT, etc. There is a rollover.js file and the rollover effect works fine, I just can't figure out where to put the text for the navigation buttons and after a week of trying different things I thought I'd come here and try to get it working. My meager JS knowledge isn't enough. I started this website from a template in case you're wondering. Here's some of the code starting with where the images are preloaded then a few lines farther on are the onmouseover and onmouseouts.
i have a multiple page form where on one page i ask my user to enter a number into a textbox. i would like to know how to get some textboxes to appear on the next page in relation to the number they enter on the first page. i.e. if they enter 10 in the first text box, 10 textboxes appear on the next page for them to enter data into and then press next to go onto the following page.
I have a table of textboxes which is dynamically create (based off the number of users and levels in my db). I want the sum of each row to be 100 - the easiest way to ensure this is to update the row sum after any change in the textboxes. The kicker is that I need to keep the user/level associations so that I can upload the new numbers to the database. Was thinking of using name="L5-U1" (level 5 - user 1) as the name attributes for each of the textboxes but unsure of how to sum the boxes using this method. After some further research, I think the best way is to assign the same class per row and add up all the textboxes in that class. What code would I use to auto-select the affiliated class? (e.g. I can't have a specific class listed in the function since they are dynamically generated, need to use "this" or pass the class name via onkeyup)
