What I want to do is that when I click on a <input type="text" /> tag the checkbox next to it should become checked. I've tried with the help of internet for a couple of hours but I just can't find how I interact with other objects properly to achieve what I want to accomplish.
Basically it's a layout creator, mostly, with a few customization options. Basically as you can see from the HTML below, there is a checkbox with the id "network" and a text input field with the id "username". Code:
I have a checkbox on a page which I have styled using some jquery code. I want the textbox underneath the checkbox to be disabled if the checkbox is ticked and enabled if it is unticked. I tried using javascript to do this but I beleive it didn't work because I have existing javascript/ jquery code on the page.
I have a checkbox on a page which I have styled using some jquery code. I want the textbox underneath the checkbox to be disabled if the checkbox is ticked and enabled if it is unticked. I tried using regular javascript to do this but I beleive it didn't work because I have existing javascript/ jquery code on the page...here is a link to the page :[URL]...
This seems like a pretty common task, so I feel optimistic that someone has already developed it. However, I'm not sure how to put it into Google so I thought I would ask for recommendations here. The situation is a billing/shipping address form, with a checkbox for "billing same as shipping." If the user ticks this checkbox, I want the billing section of the form to "gray out" - or better yet, to pull the values from the shipping section and gray out. This will enhance the user experience by avoiding confusion as to whether or not the billin part of the form still needs to be filled out.
im having some trouble. im trying to make a text input field appear when i click a certain checkbox and have it be invisible untill said checkbox is clicked. how would i format that with css/html
I am trying to set focus to the first checkbox or text box on the page. Some pages have text boxes at the top, and others have check boxes. The following is the code I am using for the first text box, however it I require the possibility to use checkbox or text.
Does the following indeed imply that this event is NOT called when an <input type="checkbox" is toggled?
This would thus imply the usage of the onClick handler instead (assuming an action needs to be invoked on check/ uncheck).
W3C Recomendation: 18 Scripts
onselect = script [CT] The onselect event occurs when a user selects some text in a text field. This attribute may be used with the INPUT and TEXTAREA elements.
I *know* the onClick can be used, I am just wondering about the use og onSelect.
I have a problem to solve where I have a Hidden set of 40 text inputs. A link to show 10 more of these in inputs at a time, all having unique ID's. The goal I am trying to accomplish is to set the focus to say the 10th input. If the "show more inputs" link is clicked then the focus should go to the next 10th input (really input ID number 20) and so on.
I have a problem created by my complete [rookie] status – only second time venturing into jQuery. I created a simple shopping cart using php and the PayPal buttons (1: buy now, 2: add to cart). The php back end does it great, it generates the table and the buttons and everything works just like it’s supposed to; Except, I forgot to add sizes. So I found out what I need to add, and I realize that the way the buttons work, I will have two different text boxes for size. Not very visually appealing, and since I’m not submitting this to the server before it goes to PayPal to pay, I cannot modify it with php the way I normally would. jQuery / javascript are my only hope of making this work. What I want to do:Have a single textbox where [size] is entered by the user.
Copy the value from the [correct] text box to the Value=”” section of the now hidden field in the PayPal form That way, no matter whether they [BUY NOW] or [ADD to CART] the right size is submitted to the PayPal shopping cart. This is the actual PayPal code that I’m trying to change
I got this far, and then decided to find how to insert the "enteredVALUE" into the right place in the input text field (what I called output) and I've not been able to figure out how to stuff it in there.
I have some code that I want to implement on a page. I've got a form field (SuppRegFee) that I would like to interact with using a checkbox. When the user clicks the checkbox, javascript populates the form field with a dollar amount ($1100). I've got that part working just great:
However, what I also want is that when the user UNCHECKS the box, the total vanishes. Javascript offers the onClick method, but there appears to be no "OnUnClick" method. How might I go about getting this to work for me?
I have taken a class on PHP and started making some math homework and drills for the tutoring I do. I have asked my kids for feedback and they are telling me that it is inconvenient to hit tab to go to the next text box (They have small arms/fingers..)I then thought of a brilliant ideaLets say it was 12 divided by 3. If they wrote a 4 in the input area, the JavaScript would recognize the correct answer and automatically move to the next box. However, if they wrote a 3 in the box, the JavaScript wouldn't move over. This kills two birds with one stone. The inconvenience of hitting tab or clicking on the next box disappears, and they are forced to put in the correct answer.Ironically, I have learned PHP and skipped over JavaScript. Which code would I use to do this?
I have a set of checkboxes and I would like to submit the form they are when one of them is checked. It works fine in IE, Netscape, and Mozilla on Win2K, also in Mozilla on the Mac, but does not work in IE 5.2 Mac. When you click the checkbox nothing happens.
Am I doing something incorrectly? Here's the code:
I have a 10 checkboxes. Along with these 10 checkboxes I have 10 images that are associated with each checkbox. What I woudl liek to happen is when I click on one of the checkboxes it selects a class for the img object that will make the image go dim using opacity filter in css. When I untick the checkbox I want the image to go back to being opaque.
I want to enable text boxes if click on checkbox. Here problem that text field and checkboxes in a array. my code is given belowI'm getting checkbox values from database
I am trying to get a checkbox to display an alert when the user clicks the checkbox for "other". Then if they click it again to unchedk it, it should not display the alert again. I keep getting an message that says not an object. Can anyone help me out with this? I have copied the code below for the checkboxes and the code that is in my .js file....
I'm a total n00b to JavaScript (haven't written a single snippet of it yet ). I was wondering how hard it would be to have a checkbox cause the page to be reloaded if it was checked or unchecked.
<input type="checkbox" /> Is JS the best way to do this?
