I am searching a solution to change a ComboBox by popup I have found this script on the web. Is it also possible to select the newVendor just after adding? Is this script ok or are there better solutions?

I have a PHP form, with a Customer Select List. Once an option has been selected, the 'custid', is passed to Javascript that collects all the contacts linked to that customer and populates another Select List. This works fine, but what I'm after is an extra two inputs to appear when a particular customer is selected, but I'm not entirely sure how to go about it.
Here it goes: Table/Form: Code: <script type="text/javascript"> var ajax = new Array(); function getTextList(sel) { var Customer = sel.options[sel.selectedIndex].value; document.getElementById('text').options.length = 0; if(Customer.length>0){ var index = ajax.length; ajax[index] = new sack(); .....

Basically, I have written an application that runs a report based on a certain amount of parameters, one of which being date. So, the date selection is a <select></select> dropdown menu and it has the usual in it, today, yesterday, this week, last week etc. The problem is I need it to have a 'Custom' selection to run reports for custom dates. When 'Custom' is selected in the dropdown menu, two text boxes appear underneath with YYYY-MM-DD watermarked in them. I have assembled enough code from around the web to get this to work and it works fine, the problem I have is that when the user clicks off the 'Custom' option and on to a different one, I need the textboxes to disappear again.
Here is the code I am using: <script type="text/javascript"> function showhide(divid){ thediv = document.getElementById(divid); if(thediv.style.display== 'none' ){ thediv.style.display='block' }else{ thediv.style.display='none' }} .....

I've tried to find a stright forward script which show/hide specific form fields based on a selected option. I've seen many online but non of them was working with me without the need of some coding or tweeks. Does anyone here have such script?
<select id="price"> <option value="">Please select</option> <!-- show this if volvo --> <optgroup id="vol"> <option value="30000">30000</option> <option value="31000">31000</option> </optgroup> <!-- show this if audi --> <optgroup id="aud"> <option value="40000">40000</option> <option value="41000">41000</option> </optgroup> </select>
I am trying to make a form that after selecting a certain RadioButton i want the value of that radio button to be changed in to a JavaScript varible, iv tried document.myform.RType.value but wont seem to work.Currently in this code i am simply trying to disply the value of the RadioButton selected in the drop down box just so i know its working. I will then work on changing value of the drop down box depending on the RadioButton choice. So if anyone could help with the getting radio button value to a varible that would be great and advise of the changing value depending on radiobutton vlaue that would be amazing.
I have a drop down box (select) in my website: [URL] that works fine; but the problems is if the user click on a wrong option, it will show a box and if the user click on another option from the box, the last one will be on display and won't go off..
Like this select something and then at the same box change the selection you will see the code will build up boxes on the screen.. How I do for it not happens if the user change the option in the last box, the one before disappears!
I'm using a bit of Javascript to display content based on the dropdown selection:http://jsfiddle.net/mcgarriers/wjLXk/However, I would like it when the user selects "show two" that it shows the 2 div elements rather than specifically div2.And for "show three" it would show all 3 divs.
I'd like to have an alert of some type, either standard alert or a hidden div, show up when a user selects an option in a select element.
For instance, if a select element has 5 options in it and the user chooses the first one, they would get an alert that says "You have chosen the first option". I'm confident this is something that can be done with a few lines of code, but I'm not sure where to begin.
Here's the logic - I'm just not sure how to write the syntax...
If ("#select option") changes and ("#select option:eq(0):selected"), fade in the div ("alert").

My requirement is "when I click on download button the one popup should appear for showing progress values". For this I need to implement progress bar for showing correct progress of Downloading file(e.g. 10%, 20%, 30%.... 100%) not any static image. AsI know about the progress bar UI but in this I need to send value to progress bar, but how I will get that value.

I have a form that is used to generate and Email (this is done with PHP), in this form i have two buttons one is to send the email and one is to preview the email. Currently I have my script set up so when the send button is pressed the form action will be set to go to the send_email.php page, and when the preview button is clicked it will go to the preview.php page. When a user clicks on either button it opens in the same window, What i want is when the preview button is clicked a popup will come up with a a preview of the email.
This is how it is currently working.
function to change action:
Code:
function changeAction(url){ document.email_list.action = url; } send and preview buttons:
[Code]....
So basically I just need the preview to open in a popup window when the form is submitted using the preview button. I don't have any code for this because I don't really know where to start, A
UPDATE: I got the preview to come up in a popup but I can not get the data from the form submission into that popup window.
