View 2 RepliesBasically, I have written an application that runs a report based on a certain amount of parameters, one of which being date. So, the date selection is a <select></select> dropdown menu and it has the usual in it, today, yesterday, this week, last week etc. The problem is I need it to have a 'Custom' selection to run reports for custom dates. When 'Custom' is selected in the dropdown menu, two text boxes appear underneath with YYYY-MM-DD watermarked in them. I have assembled enough code from around the web to get this to work and it works fine, the problem I have is that when the user clicks off the 'Custom' option and on to a different one, I need the textboxes to disappear again.

I have a scenario where I show a drop-down-with-few-items in a JSP page, to the user.
The length of few options in the drop down is greater than that of the drop down's, hence our requirement is to show the hovered (not selected) option as tooltip for user's convenience. I am not able to use title attribute for displaying tooltips in my browser.

The script works great, BUT I need to use it in 2 different areas of the same form. It only works on an id="selectMenu" and of course I cannot have more that 1 id.
How can I get this script to work in multiple select fields? (at least more than 1)

I am using a drop down menu for a website I'm working on to display menu items under categories. I'm using the same code to do this on two different pages with the actual content of the menu's loading from a MySQL database using PHP scripts. [URL] On the menu.php page I left the code below in the mix which drops down the first category listed on the left. On the seasonal.php page I took the code below out and it no longer drops down any menu by default when the page is loaded. What I'd like to do is drop down nothing initially when the page is loaded but if someone opens up the "Cupcakes" category and clicks on an item it would keep that category open when it loads the item details in the center column. I found this way veryinconvenient (data structures usually deal with value codes, not value descriptions) and it seems to work only sometimes.
Trying different options I came out with this approach that seems to do the job so

I have a UL group with multiple LI items, and each LI has a DL with a DT and DD inside. What I am trying to do is show EACH LI's DT, but not the DD.
