View 1 RepliesI'm having a little trouble with something a bit ridiculous. I have an image in a div, let says that the image's width is 100px (but in fact 300px, resize with em) and the div's width is 75px (it's an absolute div created by a plugin). I tried to do $('img').width() naturally, but it gave me the div's width. I tried some natives javascript methods (clientWidth, offsetWidth and scrollWidth), same things (but Firebug is saying that clientWidth is 100px, not 75px :'( ).

What I want is if I click on the small 'Contact Us' div, it should open the contents in the bigger one at the bottom of the page, same applies for the other small divs, and by default I want the Contact Us content to appear in the bigger div when the page is loaded, and then replaced as and when clicked on other divs.

I have a video gallery with a bigger div with width 500 pixels where the main video is waiting to be played and below is a smaller div with all the others videos from the gallery having width of 80 pixels.The list of video are managed by a content management system in PHP and are the result of youtube "Share Embed action" where the result is an iframe with the link for the video.How can i clicking on a video from the smaller div see the video being displayed in the bigger div ? already playing? or in a new layer above the website ?For now the video plays in the div it is located at.As an example here is the source video format :

Background image was part of the page loaded, as well as the text and what not. The problem was, the image took too long to load. I've been learning how to do javascript and I came across some code for preloading an image before the mouseover so there was zero wait time. For the past few days I've been trying to figure out how to have the preload image appear BENEATH the iframe (now with no background image or color) with the allowtransparency attribute set to true.
I've figured out the code to do both individually, i.e. I have the code so that when the link is moused over, the new image will appear; AND I have the code so that when the link is moused over, the page with load into the iframe. Both work, both do what is expected, but they don't do it together.Below is the script. Here's where it's confusing. If I have the "setupImgRollover..." first inside the if statement: the page loads into the iframe, but there is no image. If I have the "setupImgRollover..." after the "document.link..." commands in the if statement: the image appears but the page does not load into the iframe.

I've been working on a javascript photo gallery on my talent agency's website. I'm running into a bit of trouble with two things... First off, i would like it that when the mouse is removed from the thumbnail, that the image the mouse was last on would remain on screen but the thumbnail wouldnt change back. Also, i cant figure out how to make it that when an image is being displayed, the photographer and makeup artist information could also be seen under the picture.

I am currently building a simple photogallery. The photogallery contains a box with a few photo's in it, lined up horizontally. The box where the photo's are placed in is using an overflow so that there are only shown a few photo's. Below the box i have two buttons, left and right. The idea is simple if you click the left button the photo's must go 50 px to the left and visa versa goes with the right. I have coded this but the photo's unfortunately won't move! What I like about it is that the thumbnail gets created automatically by using the actual big picture as a background image. The problem I'm having at the moment is with activating the new big image. I get to the point where I reset visibility for all and can't figure our how to make the new one visible. It's straightforward for the thumbnail because it uses the word this, but I can't use "i" to control which big image becomes visible because "i" has already run to the end (=6).

I am using jquery in my current application to add min/max functionality, i.e, when the user close at maximize, table gets maximized, when clicked on minimize, table gets minimized. It works fine functionality wise, but, ideally, when maximized, max image should replace with min image and vice-versa, but images gets replaced only when clicked 2nd time around, for very first time, images don't get replaced, though the system works fine,
