Image Zoom On Mouse Over And Mouse Click Using JS?
Jun 20, 2010
I am in the process of developing a website. I would like to use some images. The image should zoom on mouse over and mouse click i.e the image should zoom to h:100*W:100 on mouse over and on mouse click it should be zoomed to h:1000*w:1000. Also I would like to change the mouse over image and mouse click image before zooming.

I've to simulate right mouse click with left mouse click only in a specified class.
I thought that I've to do something like this:
$('.my_class').click(function(){
$(this).trigger( /* right click */ );
});
I've to replace /* right click */ with the correct right click event but I didn't find it. I tried in that way:
$('.my_class').click(function(){
var event = jquery.Event('click');
event.which = 3;
[Code]....

Is there a trigger in JQuery that occurs when the user either:1 - clicks the left mouse button and moves the mouse upOR2 - clicks the left mouse button and moves the mouse down?mouseup() and mousedown() are only for clicking the button. I need a trigger that includes both the left mouse click and movement of the mouse up or down occurring simutaneously

I've been trying to have an image be placed during a mouse over or mouse click event. The closest to accomplishing this is having the image be replaced by the image I want to overlay.

I've searched though the forum and can't find an exact solution for disabling the right-hand mouse-click only on images (not text) on a webpage. I have some code that will do the job but I need some help with it. I realise that you can't stop people taking anything from webpages, so the aim of the following code is to provide an inoffensive way of reminding people that images have a copyright, and it leaves the right-hand mouse-click working for the rest of the page.
How do I change the following js code to run completely in an external js file? I already have the following code in an external file, but for this code to work each XHTML page has to have <body placed in it. I want to get rid of the bit because the XHTML files do not validate though the W3C validation system with it placed in the page. Code:

I am still designing the website and want some flexibility. I am capturing the mouse clicks fine on top of an image, but the coordinates are absolute and not relative to the image. How can I capture mouse clicks relative to the image so that I can move the image anywhere in my website?

So I have an image, id="image", and I have coordinates and some other stuff feeding out of it into an array on a mouse click. Now what I want is for a small image to appear on the place where the mouse is clicked as well. I was told jQuery would be able to do this?

I have seen a website that has a great image zoom function and would like to be able to add this function to my website. I'm afraid my Javascript isn't very good. where I can get a script to do this or how else if there is some free software that could do it? The webpage is: http:[url].....On this page if you click on Zoom on the left another image comes up on the right and when you mouse over the square on the left image it zooms the right image.

With the following code I can change the mouse pointer. However, if you
click in Mozilla (with IE it works perfect) on 'Show hourglass' the mouse
pointer changes only if you move the mouse at least on pixel.
<html>
<body>
<script type = 'text/javascript'>
function show_hourglass() {
document.getElementById("my_href1").style.cursor = "wait";
document.getElementById("my_href2").style.cursor = "wait";
}
function show_hand() {
document.getElementById("my_href1").style.cursor = "default";
document.getElementById("my_href2").style.cursor = "default";
}
</script>
<a href = "javascript:show_hourglass();" id = "my_href1">Show
hourglass</a>
<br>
<a href = "javascript:show_hand();" id = "my_href2">Show hand</a>
</body>
</html>
Is there any workaround? E.g. to move the mouse one pixel by javascript?

I am finishing up my website, right now I am using Flexcroll for the scrollbar in my main content window. Problem is, I want people to be able to use the mouse wheel to scroll that content window regardless of the mouse position.
My website is www. paulfenton .tk/wordpress if you want to see it.
I was wondering if anyone knew a way I can keep the mouse wheel focus on that internal div so I can scroll up and down at all times.

Here's the coplete html and script code:

Is there any cross-browser method of determining whether a click event was triggered by a mouse left click or the keyboard's 'enter' key? I was expecting event.button, or event.which to be able to do this, but this doesn't seem to be the case. Checking event.clientX == 0 && event.clientY == 0 works in FF, but not in IE.

I have a web page that renders a table with about 300 rows in it, which means vertical scrolling. At the end of the page there's a hidden div element sitting. Each row in the table contains a button which needs to call a javascript which should position the hidden div right next to the clicked button. I've tried a lot of different approaches that I've found on google, but all of them only position the div around the top area of the page. If I scroll down a ways and click the button, I have to scroll back up to the top of the page to find the div.
The primary target is users using IE8, but of course, if there's a cross-browser solution for this problem, that would be super!
