Get One Pic To Switch OnMouseOver But Not Two On Same Page

Nov 25, 2009

I'm trying to get the pic to change when the mouse rolls over the button. I used this template of code and it works:

Code:
<A HREF=""
onMouseOver="document.pic1.src='menu1on.gif'"
onMouseOut="document.pic1.src='menu1off.gif'">
<IMG SRC="menu1off.gif" BORDER=0 NAME="pic1">
</a>

The problem occurs when I attempt to change a *second button* to have two buttons change on the same page. Here is how the code for two buttons looks side by side while it works:

Code:
<a href="development.html">
<img height="20" src="hXXp:\mywebsite.com/SIDE4H.png" style="border-width: 0px; margin-top: 2px; margin-bottom: 2px" width="185" /></a><br />

Switch Menus That Only Show Up With Page Is Refreshed?

Mar 3, 2010

I have several switch menus that are VITAL to my website's navigation. They all worked very well when I tested the pages in all browsers. However, I finally FTPed my site to the internet, now when you click a link from a switch menu, instead of staying opened due to the onLoad function in the body, they do not appear.

Strangely, the only way to get my switch menus to show is to refresh the page.

Page Refreshes Before Timer Has Done It's Job

Aug 7, 2010

On the html form the user enters the time to start, time to end, and frequency of a reminder alert.I pass this to my javascript and then am trying to setup a 1 second loop where it checks against the clock to see if it's time to begin the reminders. I get to the function, but the setTimeout doesn't complete and my page just refreshes.

Start My Timer On Page Load?

I've got the following working timer code...

All works great. At the moment I have to press the button to start the timer, but I want the timer to start automatically on page load (and keep the stop/start button to work of course, so the button has to show Stop instead of Start on page load).

Timer Redirect To Main Page?

Oct 25, 2011

My project is for a scuba diving shop, and they would like to have a touchscreen in their shop. Users can use this touchscreen to browse through the various courses that the scuba diving shop offers. I have the home screen, and the several different pages for each course.

The Problem: Users will sometimes select a course they're interested in, and then leave the screen after using it. Leaving the page on the course and not on the main page for the next user.

I dreamt up a solution for this, however I'm yet to find out how I can go about implementing this.The Solution:Make a timer that appears after 5 mins of being idle and gives the user one more minute to move the mouse (or any activity) before it redirects back to the main screen.

Research:From my research I've come to the conclusion that something like this is possible, using Javascript and I've had a play around myself but to no avail. Here is the script I was trying:

Advanced Countdown Timer - When User Refreshes Page - Countdown Starts From 5 Minutes Again

Aug 7, 2010

I found the below script that works fine for the actual countdown, but when the user refreshes the page, the countdown starts from 5 minutes again.

What I am trying to do, is handle users that put something in their shopping cart and then get side tracked or what ever reason and that same product then being purchased by another person when I only have 1 left.

So using PHP I am going to subtract the qty of that product by 1 and then I want the website to either put it back, if the users checkout times out, or if a normal process it is taken out permanently.

So long story short I think I need some sort of 'memory' for the javascript, so the user can't just keep refreshing and it starting from 5 minutes each time. Also it needs to be carried through to other pages.

Setup A Web Site For Art Gallery

Sep 1, 2009

I am trying to set up a web site for an art gallery.That is for new talents so I have no budget.I am not a web designer and I am facing some barriers.My problem is, I guess, about going around with the DOM node tree. My page looks like this:[code]How it works:In first place, after page has been loaded,I am using frame 4 to run a HTML form. After submit,iframe 3.1 is populated with thumbnails according to the query.When a thumbnail is clicked,I succeeded in bringing the corresponding text, talking about the artwork, on iframe 5.1 to do so, I change the html source in iframe 5.1.I am using for that: [code] The idea was about doing the same with the frame 4 that is for a larger picture of the artwork.But first I need to get rid of the form once it was submitted (bring a new HTML with a dummy transparent gif to be swapped with the desired picture).But how can I bring a new html in frame 4? After the form is submitted the 'action' moves to iframe 3.1.I tried changing the html source using getElementById but I could not find a way to get to the right object.Two src attibutes must be changed with code written in iframe 3.1. (where the thumbnails are clicked). But How can I address and change the HTML src code in FRAME 4 ? How can I address and change the src image in the new code loaded in FRAME 4 ?I have both attributes in variables but don't know how to get to the target elements

Setup To Get Form Field Filled Automatically

Now, The only thing is some of the non-required fields are filled in and some people don't fill them in, so when I import it into excel, the fields move about. What I need to know, is there a condition I can set to have a value written into all the empty fields when it is submitted?

Here is where I am with that so far:
if (app100.address2.value == "") {
doc.write("N/A");
