No need of putting Form Name & Field Name in Javascript. Is there any way to do this ???
What i want is, to show a pop up or a simple div or a modal or any dialogue box to to load on my home page to show welcome message, whats new etc stuff, which will be displayed only once in a day to every visitor of my site,(at the first visit of the day only ) But i want to load this modal after a sec when all the other elements of the pages have been finished loading.

It's a basic input, you type in your postcode, if it is in the list of postcodes I entered then it replies with a 'Yes' response, otherwise a 'No' response. Unfortunately it keeps saying 'Yes' to anything that's entered.
Here it is, and apologies again for it being annoyingly simple, you know when you've been looking at code too much and you just can't see the small things anymore. [input type.needed=coffee]
Basically I'm looking for a method where the user enters their postcode (UK only) clicks enter then they're displayed with their closest region (although not every single UK region will be displayed, only 6 of them). I know this is a fairly tricky one.I've had a look in to Google API though there's nothing really specific for this, does anyone have an idea? or point me in the right direction to achieve this?

I have them set up, and they work.. but the issue is that I set it up in such a way that the .js file is dynamic, and works for each page. You know, so that I don't actually have to specify the images within the .js file. The problem with THAT is that it doesn't automatically load the rollover version of each image, when the page loads.. so it's a bit sluggish.

1.) My first task it to combine the two. I still need the popup that comes up after 10 seconds, but I also need the jquery to check if a cookie is set. (I load the jquery cookie plugin for this code)
2.) If there is no cookie and the pop up comes up there are three ways of closing the pop up.
- x button on the top right corner: if this is clicked, a 24 hour cookie should be set
- remind me later link: if this link is clicked, the same 24 hour cookie should be set
- dont show again: if this one is clicked, a longer cookie is set

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have code that lets the user click on a link. When he does that, it calls the .Load function. This loads some HTML (a div and some contents) into a tag. Then it tries to color the left border of the DIV that it loaded. Now the interesting thing is that it does succeed to color that border very briefly - but immediately the color is covered up with black, which is the original color.

2) i copy n paste the details in the textarea n when i click d button. it should automatically populate things into the respective fields.
here s my logic wt i taught of:
1)read the first line in the textbox and load it into contact person field.
2)find the @ symbol and put it into the respective field and if there are more than 1 mail id load it into the same feild using commas.
3)if the phone no is 10 digits then load it into the mobile field else load the rest it into phone field.
4)find for words like road,street,block,stage,floor etc,if present then load it into the address field till the last comma is encountered.
5)the last digits in the address should be loaded into the pincode field.
6)the last word present in the address after the last comma and before the hyphen should be loaded into the city field.
7)find for www or http and load it into the website field,if not found leave it blank.

To test I created this code, the image loads fine and the mouseover works fine showing the alert dialog :
However, my trouble seems to be that if I bind mouseover to the class "myimage" nothing happens, like so :
Seems that the document would load the html first then the mouseover bound to the class (myimage) would fire off.

I've been noticing a lot of problems when loading these stuff, Sometimes I have to remake the HTML Tags because its not showing anything. Is there any option? I want it to load EXACTLY how it is, I don't know if this is some kind of protection for bad code, but if it is I would like to disable. But also, this code is really clean. no problem, I don't know.
Is it faster/more beneficial to have two snippets of code be generated by php at 2 different urls and then have a load function for each url? Or have the two snippets on one page, surrounded by id's and then load them that way?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with the status bar in Mozilla and Netscape showing that
it is still waiting on the page to load even after it is finished. This
problem does NOT occur with IE.
In summary, I am using a onLoad event in the BODY tag to communicate back to
another server each time a page finishes loading. I do this by using a "new
Image()" and setting the .src property to the server. The .src includes a
value in the querystring so I know what request it was that finished
loading.
The challenge here is that the status bar still shows "Transferring data
from www.mysite.com..." despite the image being loaded. It never clears and
leaves the user with the impression that there was a problem loading the
page. My web server logs at the mysite.com show that the browser does
indeed make a request for the image and I get the querystring just fine and
it returns a status of 200 so the image is being found and served ok.
I've tried everything I can think of to solve this and really could use your
help please. Bottom line is that if you use the "new Image" statment from
within the OnLoad event of the Body tag, Netscape and Mozilla never seem to
update the status bar to show "Done" despite it succesfully loading the
image.
