Jan 19, 2006I can't find a good script for this, mainly because I can't remember what you call it! Its for a photography site I'm working on, I need it to have Next & Prev links under the photo displayed so it goe through the photos.
Also is it easy to work out how to add a new image to the index.php and so that the last image that was on the index.php file is on the prev button so the photos are in order of when they were on the index.php file... yeah. I always seem to confuse myself with the adding of images when using prev & Next buttons :P
I think it's Javascript I'm after, but if theres a easy php version which is better then let me know but I really don't know php too great so it'd have to be easy or that someone could help me with Code:
Change Both Set Of Images In Programme When Up/down Button Is Pressed?

The programme loads 2 different series of images in the area and the up/down button is supposed to change each set of the series of images. Currently, the codes only allow one set of the images to be changed. what can be done so that both set get changes when the up/down key is pressed?

Oct 2, 2011I'm a real newbie with Javascript, but I'm having fun. I just bought the book, "Simply Javascript" (have only just cracked it so far). I'm reasonably familiar with PHP (I use a lot of it to do simple things). I'm a Web desinger and do custom CSS Websites (I'm fairly new to that too couple of years or more working with CSS and I've never done a table based layout.

But when the button is clicked, nothing will call the showCaption() function again, and I can't figure out how to call that function as the images advance. I have tried a lot of things with a lot of weird results, one being the tne next caption will display in a blank browser window, without the Webpage! I'm not sure why that happens, but I have a clue.
Is there an easier way to do what I want to do? I only want to show a few lines of text that will describe each image. Seems simple enough to me, but I'm just too new to make it work.

Dec 14, 2011I've been struggling for the past hours to get this code to work, more specifically the nextImage and prevImage function. Everything else seems to be working well. What puzzles me is that it works randomly, meaning sometimes it will go next/prev and behave properly, others it won't. This is really the best I could do.

Jul 20, 2005I've found out that I can use <div id = "variable"><div> to change text and
pictures on mouseovers.
All I have to do is change "variable" to be the HTML text I want.
I can even change the text to have images.
Is this method recommended?
Should I be doing it another way?

I have 3 images(I call them 1a-3a).
when u click on image 1a u change" image x" to image 1a
when u click on image 2a u change" image x" to image 2a
when u click on image 3a u change" image x" to image 3a
So far Im in the game. But..
Then I have 8 other images(I call them 1b-8b).
So if u click on image 1a u change "image x" to 1a. Then if I click on
image 1b I want image 1a(the changed "imagex") to change.

change the images 1a-3a) Messy? I know.

"Imagex" is a Box and the 1a-3a changes pattern. The other 1b-8b
changes color. SO it should be possible to first change pattern, then
change color on the pattern u choosed before.

Then HomeButtonOff and ClassButtonOff is set as clickable images with the a href tags, and there's a image by the side which is TitleHome
As someone click on HomeButtonOff, HomeButtonOff would be switched to HomeButtonOn and ClassButtonOff will be switch to ClassButtonOff and the title TitleHome would be switched TitleHome
Its something like when you click on a menu, it will change the selected menu to a highlighted form and change the title of the page.
I tried with my code below but doesn't seem to work.

JQuery :: Prev / Next Buttons Will Not Work
May 10, 2011I'm trying to implement JQuery Cycle onto the homepage of my website (which is a work in progress). I wish to have a banner with Previous and Next buttons, as well as a Pager and a Caption. I've added all of this to the banner. The Pager and the Caption works, but for the life of me I can't get the Previous and Next links to work.

JQuery :: Prev And Next Links In Gallery?
Mar 15, 2011I'm rather new toJavaScriptand have spent all day trying to figure out how I can make this possible by examining others code but to no avail. I've finally bit the bullet and come to ask for some help.
I'm making a website for a friends photography and have managed to get a thumbnail gallery working as you can see here[URL]...The problem is I have no idea how to get get the prev and next links working. I have tried countless searches for the best part of the afternoon looking for a solution but mostly all I seem to uncover is lists ofpre-madegalleries andcarousels.
It would be fantastic if someone could point me in the right direction just to simply get these links incrementing and decrementing based on the image that is loaded.

Is there another way to do this that works universal or another tool such as CSS?

Button Inside Images In Slideshow?
Jun 27, 2011I'm fairly new to Javascript, and i'm wondering how I could implement a sort of 'buttons' inside an image in a slideshow. An example of what I mean can be found here: [URL].. I would like to implement a slideshow like that, where users can press the index number of the image they would like to see. However, the index numbers should be available inside an image (like in the example above).

JQuery :: CurrSlide Value Not Updated With Next / Prev Options
Jan 7, 2011Been playing with this plug-in for several hours now, very cool. Managed to build a decent non-linear presentation tool with play controls and multiple hotspots per slide. I noticed what I think are a few minor bugs concerning the opt.currSlide value, could also just be my lack of experience with the plug-in and JQuery. When using the 'next' and 'prev' options, the opt.currSlide value does not appear to be updated. I'm using this value to trigger hiding and showing of overlays in 'after' code. Works fine when a jump is initiated via cycle(num, trans) but not when initiated via cycle('next') or cycle('prev').
Also the "none" transition does not appear to call all of the before, after, etc.. events. As a work around, I defined a custom transition based on fade that animates the left property from 0 to 0 rather than opacity. Finally, I'd like to suggest an enhancement to the cycle method to accept cycle(num, trans, args). An example of why this is needed...
cycle(3, 'wipe', {clip: 'l2r'}).
Meaning jump to slide 3 using a wipe transition with clip set left-to-right. As a workaround for this limitation, I defined custom transitions for each of the wipe options.
