I have implemnt a onBlur event of a text input. In the event, a window with all records which related to the text input will be shown. However, I don't want to pop up the window in case there is no records that matching the text input.
View 2 RepliesI built an application that open a modelessDialog. my question is can i replace the modelessDialog content on a click in the parent window. i need this in order to prevent multiple modelessDialog to be open. i need to get to a status that only one modelessDialog is open and if the user try to open a new one then the content of the already open one is replaced, or the modeless that is already open will be closed automatically and then a new one....

Basically I'm trying to make a Training Assistant: a window that will
guide the user through the setup process of an online app. However, I
only have the ability to edit the front page of the system.
I need to create a "Train Me!" button on the homepage that will open a
modeless window. Easy enough, right? Well I need the modeless window
to STAY there even after the user starts clicking around on links and
navigating to other pages.
To complicate matters, since I can't edit the other pages, I can't
pass the modeless window any info on what page the user has navigated
to. I need the training assistant to know what page they clicked on
so it can help them with that.
And finally, I can't put the app in any kind of frameset because it
breaks for some reason.

I have a quiz with a timer. Once the timer reaches zero an alert box pops up saying Too Late and stays on the same screen. The problem is the user can still enter in an answer, how to auto submit after you click ok on the alert box. Here is my count function.

I've written the below code which submits to a servlet, does a bit of processing and returns a JSON object. I'm reaching the servlet, but I never reach the alert("ready()") in the JavaScript.It looks as though the readyState never actually reaches state 4.

View 1 Replies View RelatedTo synchronize the vertical scroll of the following "left" and "right" divs only when the beginning and end of each "blahN " div is reached inside the left div. Both divs have a finite height, which basically insures that the scroll bar will be present. The left div outputs text-based content from various database procedures while the right div outputs images corresponding to the text. The text is nothing more than pages from the website and as you can see inside the left div, each is encapsulated within a subsequent div with an incremental class (i.e.- "blah1", "blah2", and so forth.) When one scrolls through each "blah" content inside of the left div, I would like the right div to output the image that corresponds to the text (again, this data comes from the website through previous transactions.) Here's an example: John Doe comes to the website and starts reading the various pages listed inside the left div.
There might be 2 pages loaded inside the left div, or, there might be 20, but in any event, when he loads the entire page containing all this, the first page will be displayed along with the first pages' image. When he scrolls past this first entry (page) inside the left div, the corresponding image related to it inside the MySQL database is then output as well over in the right div and so on with every other "blahN " piece of content. Right now, the jQuery I'm using has synchronized both divs to scroll at the same time, regardless of specific waypoints that might be reached per-scrolling.

I used the jquery modal dialog from the[url].... that is currently draggable from the title only. is there any way i can make
that draggable by inserting a div at the footer of the dialog or make it draggable from everywhere in the dialog.
Is it possible to have the jquery ui dialog close when clicking outside the area of the dialog? Like facebox?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to get a dialog box to open another dialog box. Clicking on "more search options" the first time results in opening a dialog box. Clicking "search" within the dialog box results in opening up a second dialog box. But this only works the first time I click on "more search options". In other words, the second dialog box only opens up only once. To get the second dialog to open again, I have to reload the page in the browser.

I have a javascript which verifies if the submitted data is a number or not, and works like a charm, but... I also want to be able to tell if the number is "0" and then submit other data.

I need the page to redirect if x is null AND the screen width is less then 600. My problem is the page is still redirecting even if the cookie has a value.
To make sure my cookie was working properly I just tested an alert of x and it gave x's value.

I am trying to hide div based on conditions..This is the scenario: the div should never appear again for that user, until i write another server side message.lets say i write a message today saying " we are really sorry, but the website will be don for one hour today" and you login today, the message will be displayed, when you click close its closed,it wont appear again for you, until i post another message,but each message would have an expiration date, if i post a message which would be displayed to every user, i should decide how long i want it displayed, maybe 24 hrs, so in 24 hrs the message should no longer display.

I have been building a website and am in the process of integrating a shopping cart into the website. I have colors for the products in a <select> but there are a few colors that require an extra processing step that would cost extra to the customer if they chose those colors. However I don't want that extra processing step to be visible unless those certain colors are selected because I feel it would be confusing to the customers.
