Currently the page has some divs' displays set to none. When a user clicks an anchored link, it displays the appropriate div. Here is the script I'm currently using, which works fine:
function showApp(whichApp) {
document.getElementById('dTips').style.display='none';
document.getElementById('dCaseStudies').style.display='none';
document.getElementById('dWebinars').style.display='none';
document.getElementById('dReports').style.display='none';
document.getElementById('dDigimags').style.display='none';
[Code]...
Is there any way to modify it so that if the user clicks a link on a different page, it goes to the APPS page and displays the requested div? If not, is there another way to accomplish this task?
I have posted in my community in Open Text an accordion, but only the text is displayed like a bloc, no accordion effect.on this community the Module header look and feel is based on a CSS. It seems that i have some conflicts between both (no error message displayed).
I need a script that can open an external page, or some type of content, in a box. This is kind of hard to explain, but here's what I mean, go to facepunch . com (I'm not a spambot dammit) and click on that litte face at the top.
Is there any jquery script that would detect a browser. What I exactly mean is when a visitor opens a website, the script detects the browser and if it's IE6-7, the message to upgrade/change the browser is displayed. It'd be nice if the rest of the screen got blurred, as it is in some jquery photo galleries.
I have a DIV overlay that I want to show as open only on certain pages but not on others (it is on all pages). The button that is related to the DIV must also display as on when the DIV overlay is open and in the off state when it is closed. This must happen on page load. E.g. DIV open, button on. DIV closed, button off. I have the click show and activation working so all I need is it to display as open and on, on certain pages and then on others closed and off.
I want to develop a multi-tab browser plugin, which requires all links in a page could open in new tabs within this multi-tab browser plugin. It's very similar to Multi-Tab functions of Firefox/IE, when opening a page in one tab, then any links in that Tab will open in another new tab(after setup from pref), i want to know this principle(how to implement this). I am thinking try this:$('a').click(...), while i am not sure whether it's good/enough.
what the code is supposed to do is show my form and update the pb field... the thing is when i open my page i just get a blank page with nothing ... not even the form..
I am developing a web application in which I need to integrate a javascript/html editor on some of the web pages and then provide 'Edit' buttons on those web pages so that users can edit the content on that partciular html/jsp page (like editing in wiki pages) and then, when they add some content and click on submit button, the new content should appear on the web page with all the formatting (i.e. bold, italics, color and so on) which was applied by user when he was entering the text.
Now, I need help for the below issues:
1. Suggest me a good javascript/html editor (freely downloadable) which I can use to integrate with my web pages.
2. Once the user has entered some content using the above javascript editor, how to make that content reach the server and update the corresponding web page.
what it does is that it hide and show a panel by slidint it to the left.But my client want that on page load the panel opens automatically for about 2-3 seconds just to let users know that its here. But when the panel finished showing the button to open it again doesn't work.
I need three tabs out of which only one is open at a time n when u open another tab, one out of the earlier closed one should open(preferably with mootools). And also the tab which is opened should come at the top of the page as well.
1. Take the current URL of the page and open a new window with a URL based on the current page. Some examples (I use "->" to mean "this URL turns into that URL"):I plan to use these bookmarklets in sequence, first pressing 1 to log into the CMS, then pressing 2 to edit the current page.
I am coding a little login script, just password, the security is meant to be weak I'm using it as a teaching aid: Here is my problem, I want it to go to a page if the password is true, and go to another if it isn't, my code will explain. The window.open works but it takes you to another tab I want it to load in the same place.
I am opening pop up windows from a hint button on several pages in my site. If the user leaves the pop up window open from a previous page, I would like the new hint to open in that window.
I thought that by giving the pop-ups the same name it should work (see code below) but it isnt. Every time a user clicks on the hint button the popup opens in a new window regardless of the fact that a previous hint window is open .
here is my code that calls the function from an html page (there is also some rollover code in it):

How can I let link page open using IE? For example, I open a webpage using firefox or chrome/opera/safari. When I click the link, open the link using IE <html xmlns="[URL]"> <head id="Head2" runat="server"> </head><body> <a href="#" onClick="window.showModalDialog ('[URL]','','width=600,height=600','screenx=200','screeny=200')"><img src="images/benemanc-01th.jpg" alt="img-01" width="125" height="155" class="thumb" style="display:inline"></a> </body></html>
I need to open a new window from an existing HTML page to a site in which we do not want to show the address for. I have set the titlebar to no but it will still place the title on the titlebar Here's my function code:
function myOpen() { window.open("http:// www.somewhere.com","mywindow","location=no,titlebar=no"); }
The page I am opening is not mine. I want to edit the content of the page I am opening, adding text "This page is opened in a new window" as a first thing after the body tag of the opened page.
Is it possible to do it with javascript, while opening the page, or should I use Java?
I still haven't been able to figure this out through the jQuery directory, but I suspect the answer isn't that difficult;I have a picture that links to a new page in my html. When the user clicks the image, I want a black box to wipe across the image, then load a new page. I can do one or the other, but I don't know how to do both. Here is my code as it is currently written:
I need to open a window without scrollbars, menus, etc. and a specific size. I believe I have found scripts that can do this. But I also need it to open to specific coordinates of the page. i.e, only displaying the center portion of the page (the page is not mine) and not letting the user move to other portions with scroll bars, nor resize the window.I realiize that hitting tab will usually move them around, but I am not worried about that. They won't know where they are and will just reload.I have basic html skills but not scripting, other than copying/pasting other people's code.
How could I open a page/popup after closing one? The objective is to log the user out if they haven't Logged out or clicked Logout.
I am sure there is a simple way to do this. None of my ideas work.
The only answer I could come with (after testing the whole day...) IE(any version), Firefox, and other browsers don't support this idea, due to the fact that the user clicked close and you can't impose things on them.
I want to know how i can make a page that opens and loads content in a div tag when i click a certain link on my home page. i have a javscript code to load content into a div tag when the link is on the same page as the div tag, but i want to get a script where it will open a new page and load content into a div tag on that page.
like the link must be something like main.html?div=content.html i know how to do this with iframes, but i want to work with div tags :)
