Mouseover - Way To "highlight" The Links While The Slideshow Starts

Highlight Multiple Links On MouseOver
Nov 18, 2007Highlighting a single Link on MouseOver with CSS or JS is simple. But now I have several Links spread over a table. If I have MouseOver on one of those links I also want to have a few of the other links also highlighted because they are related. How would I go about and do that?

When the image goes to the next slide, the elements (title, category, desc., etc.) adjust to coincide with the new image. My issue is that I am unable to create an element (category) that pulls each "category:'current slide category'," entered in the array as a list and highlights the current slide's corresponding category.
E.g.,

JQuery :: Fading Slideshow Flicker On Mouseover
Jul 31, 2010I've adapted code from theslideSwitch.js tutorialby Jon Raasch, which is basically a fading slideshow. The script promotes the 'active' slide to a higher z-index and animates the opacity for a fading effect. It's working fine with a pause added to stop the slideshow temporarily on mouseover. The issue I'm having is I'm trying to stop the script from queuing up when repeatedly mousing over/off the slideshow. When this happens it flickers and goes berserk. I've experimented withstop(true,true)in various locationsbut haven't got it working properly. Where to insert this in the following code?

Mouseover Popup With Clickable Links
Apr 9, 2009I've been looking around the net and so far have come up empty.If a user mouses over a cell in a table, I'd like a popup to appear, but not a non-interactive tooltip. I'd like it to be a bubble or something akin, that would allow the user to move the mouse pointer inside it (and not have the window move around like a tooltip) and have clickable links and images inside the popup that take them to another page. I've seen this feature when hovering over links in various forums, but can't seem to find a framework or sample code that will do this.

Oct 5, 2011I found a jquery image slideshow script but the images have no links to them. When I manually add the links to the image urls, these work only in IE - when I click next, the picture updates and is linked to the correct URL. In other browsers (Firefox, Chrome..), the last url becomes the clickable link for all the images. I have tried to use the .wrap option and I'm sure I'm on the right track, except I have 4 images and I want it to go to 4 different urls.it sought of works, but only the first url is picked up and becomes the link for all the images.How can I get the link reference for the url to iterate with the original loop of the image?

I have tried this a few ways, but for each one the mouseover event fires for each link before anything else is loaded on the page, and when the page is loaded, no link is displayed. Here are the two ways I've tried:

My problem is that when you click on one of the pictures the link opens in a new window instead of loading in the default browser window. Aug 18, 2010So Im trying to create a slideshow with thumbnails the user can scroll through and use to navigate the slideshow. I'm a big fan of cycle so I wanted to use that as my main slideshow component and was planning on using jcarousel for the pager. So far it works great in Firefox, Chrome, and Safari, yet in IE the thumbnails are not loading. I'm guessing it has something to do with how the images in the pager are generated and then jcarousel just isnt proccessing that in IE but I 'm not sure. I feel like I'm very close to getting this slideshow to work, yet I need to figure out why it is failing in IE.

Apr 27, 2010I am building a navigation which animates width on mouseover and revert it on mouseleave. That navigation also supports keypress/keydown actions, so it behaves like you hover with the mouse and additionally opens the submenu too. My problem is, when using the keydown (C) function, the menu opens up perfectly but when I mouseover then, it fires the 1. function and behaves like it should, it closes. I tried to stop that when just using keydown, but somehow I am stuck with it. Here comes the code:
