Loop (repeat) Counter - Flash Or Blink The Number A Few Times
Jul 5, 2011
I am using the counter script below to display a count from 1-36. Does anyone know how to edit the javascript to flash or blink the number 36 a few times, and then loop the script to start over and count from 1-36 again (and again)?
How do I get a function to repeat itself an unspecifiednumber of times?BACKGROUND: I have created a digital clock with which I verysatisfied except for one shortcoming: it displays only once and stopsticking. The only way to keep track of the time is to refresh thepage. I have introduced the setInterval( ) function in a variety ofways to compel JSClock() to repeat itself, but to no avail.SOURCE CODE:
(function($) { $.fn.JSClock = function() { var today=new Date();
I need a counter that will display beside a link, with the number of times the same link has been clicked. I do not have FTP access to the site, since it is based on a CMS.
I'm struggling to find out the correct bit of jQuery to use, so that I can repeat a process 4 times. I am trying to achieve the following: When 1 <a> is clicked, I want jQuery to add the class current to that <a> and the next 4 <a>. All I need to know is the correct selector or filter to use in order to achieve this?
I've looked everywhere for a random number generator which doesn't repeat. Tried loads and none have seemed to work.I'm making a quiz, 5 questions so far.This button, in html, generates the next random Q:But I need a random generator which fires them off only once. Anyone have suggestions for a non-repeating random number gen which will work? Even the one now seems to have some slight error associated with it. The one's ive tried so far haven't worked..
I m trying to check if user has selected at least one checkbox and give an alert for select atleast one.the checkbox in the forms are dynamics depends up on data received from database for ex.user has to select at least one customer to process ahead .i have written below code to validate :
Beginner JavaScripter here. I'm wanting to run a piece of code (add rows) a specified amount of times based upon the number selected. Also, rows can be added after initial number has been specified.[code]...
I have a table of ingredients and a number of times they appear in a product. The table looks something like this: ingredient_01 3 ingredient_02 5 ingredient_03 8 ingredient_04 7
I need to write a script/formula/anything that will generate an output where each ingredient is output as many times as the associated number. i.e. an output has to look like this: ingredient_01 ingredient_01 ingredient_01 ingredient_02 ingredient_02 ingredient_02 ingredient_02 ingredient_02 ingredient_03 ingredient_03 ingredient_03 ingredient_03 ingredient_03 ingredient_03 ingredient_03 ingredient_03 ingredient_04 ingredient_04 ingredient_04 ingredient_04 ingredient_04 ingredient_04 ingredient_04
I have created a script that checks through fields in a cmc and finds any opening and closing divs. What i want to do it count the number of times the opening/closing div appears in a field.
I was wondering if anybody can provide me with high level suggestions as to how to do the following in javascript.I want to record the number of times a piece of javascript is run across multiple disparate machines.To do this I was thinking that the javascript should open javascript a webpage every time it is run. I can then count how many times that webpage has been called which in turn will be the number of times the javascipt has run. However I don't want the webpage to open in the users machine as this will be really annoying for the user.if you can think of a better way to complete the overall goal.
I have a JavaScript function for swapping the values of rows in a table. I have a hidden field in each row to carry a record ID. As I switch the rows the function will update the hidden field but doesn't do it correctly if I switch a number of rows. I dynamically set the values to switch when the page loads but how can I change these values when the rows are moved.The idea is to change the order of a recordset by clicking on an up or down arrow and then save the values on the record id and sort order, the two hidden fields in each row.
function swapCells(idA,idB,id1,id2) { var cellA=document.getElementById('menu'+idA);
I'm trying to display the same image several times using javascript. It can range anywhere from 0 to about 50. I'll also have its' location determined by the user click and each image will timeout after a short period of time. I figure i'll have to create a new object for each image that is added and remove it after it times out, but my problem is I dont know how to tell the HTML code inside the <body> tag to display the same image for each click I make.
I have a need to count how many time the image ok.png is displayed within a div. this is for a dynamic sys req. check where 1 of three images will be shown in a row. If the endusers browser doesnt meet certain req, it will show either an alert, question or an ok.png.I need to know how many oks there are, specifically I need to check that all five images are the ok.png so I can show the rest of the content.I am able to get the number of images with a simple var totalgreen = $("#wrap img").length; But im stuck after that.
It would be nice to be able to sort plugins by the number of times voted on. I know you can see how many times it has been voted on after you go to the detail page but it would be helpful to get that info as a sort field on the "Most Popular Plugins" page because then you could tell wether a 5 star has been voted on once or a 1000 times. I personally would rather get a 3 1/2 starred plugin voted on 1000 times then a 5 star voted on once by the developer. Don't get me wrong I would vote 5 stars on my plugin too.
I have a function that I call a variable number of times and I need to know when the calls have *all* been completed. How would I build that? As I understand the deferreds, the $.when syntax is as follows: $.when(dfrd_func1('a'), dfrd_func2('b'), dfrd_func3('c')).done( function() { console.log("All Done");} ); will send "All done" to the console once each of the functions are complete.
So, I have the *same* function that I need to call a variable number of times with different parameters, i.e. : $.when(dfrd_func('a'), dfrd_func('b'), dfrd_func('c'), ...).done(function() {console.log("All Done")}); So, is my approach wrong? Is there some way to build an array of functions that could be executed?
Actually my requirement is when i move my mouse on the link, One alert box shoulb be appear and it will count how many times i move on that link. I already written the code in javascript but it didn't reach to my requirement.code...
I am building a website and the client wants a counter that starts at 0 on January 1st and ends at 10,900,000 on December 31st. I have basically no experience with writing javascript, only plugging in tutorials I find online
I am delving into the coding world and while I understand the basic principle of cookies, conditional statements, arrays, etc...I have looked around the web and this forum with little success. If the situation below is too complicated, I would really appreciate even a shove in the right direction regarding the logic.How could I show a preset counter which counts up from a preset, beginning number toward a preset, end number? I imagine the increment and speed is set be the difference between the two numbers and a timeframe.
:confused: Assumptions:I would rather not set the increment but edit the end number to show a steady increase. As I update that number, the increment adapts dynamically. I would want the number/script to be useful, so it should not refresh to the beginning number on each page load (i.e. num=0). When a visitor comes to the page, it must seem like the counter has been steadily been increasing in their absence.Coke or Pesi did something similar one time regarding cans sold to date (doubt it was plugged into a DB somewhere but rather based on a steady sales figure) and it was pretty cool.
I wrote a short javascript code to try to solve a math puzzle. It involves iterating 50,000 times through a for loop. Nested in each of those iterations is another for loop with 50,000 iterations of its own. I think that's 2.5 billion altogether. Each times it compares two numbers that are being incremented.
I'm doing this in JS because I can't any of the Java I learned a few years ago...
I tested the code with much smaller numbers and it worked. With the big numbers my browsers are not responding, not surprisingly (I'm using the latest firefox on the latest mac os).
Will the code finish running tonight? Next week? In 10 years?
I have a certain file in my webpage that my readers can download I want to know howmany times this file has been downlaoded
Googling for Download counters did not help so i thought may be..may be.. if i could get the number of times the particular link has been clicked (i know this is crude)..then i can arbitarily say.. that it has been approximately been downloaded so many times..
This is the website that is in question. Below is the script that I think is causing the problem. Every time you navigate to a new page I want the pages to fade out/in. However, there is a brief blink in between animations. I have tried to use stop() and not, but neither seems to help. I will post both options.
