However, once the callback is included I get an error I've been trying to track down for the past day and a half. In IE the error thrown is "Object doesn't support this property or method" on Line 100 character 4. In my JS debugger the plugin breaks on line 99
After a star is clicked the form is submitted and processed. "rate.php" returns an integer from 1 to 5 with the new average rating. So far so good, but I'd like to update the Star radios with the new value and disable them after the form has been processed.
This is a rating star row which is suppose to refresh without a browser refreshing. It is refreshing but is not CSS formatting to Code: <td><strong>Raiting:</strong></td> <td> <ul class="rated twostar" id="Torpedo"> <li class="one">1</li> <li class="two">2</li> <li class="three">3</li> <li class="four">4</li> <li class="five">5</li> </ul>
I have to refresh the browser in order to Code: <td><strong>Raiting:</strong></td> <td> <ul class="rated twostar" id="Torpedo"> <li class="one">1</li> <li class="two">2</li> <li class="three">3</li> <li class="four">4</li> <li class="five">5</li> </ul> to appear..
It's the javascript working? This is the code before clicking on one of the star in the star row. Code: <style type="text/css"> <!-- .style1 {color: #FF3300} .style2 {color: #FFFFFF} .style3 {color: #000000} --> </style> .....
The javascript links that should do the refreshing automatically supposed to be the two below: Code: <script type="text/javascript" src="scripts/prototype.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="scripts/rating.js"></script> How can it be possible to auto refresh it?
I am using a json from a Google spreadsheet and a jquery plugin which is called throught this HTML line <ul id="example">.The thing is that when I dynamically append elements to the <ul id="example"> from within the JSON callback function, these are not recognized by the jquery plugin
Code:
<form> <ul id="example">BLA BLA BLA</ul> </form>
[code]....
If I insert an <ul id="example"> plus some <li> in the HTML code the plugin works perfect If I insert dynamically some <li> to the <ul id="example"> throught a javascrypt function before executing the callback (...json-in-script&callback=...) also work perfect.But when I insert dynamically the <li> elements within the callback function (in my case: cm_loadMapJSON) does not work well.
I've narrowed down my SSL "mixed content" warning to being the cycle plugin. I do not see any http: refrences in the code so im wondering how i should go about this.
I'm having troubles with an existing J2EE application (which uses Dojo) and in which I'm gradually introducing jQuery. The specific issue is with the malsup Form plugin and the JSON returned from a form submission: the error callback is always called, regardless of what happens on the server side, and the error is always "parsererror". I'm using jQuery 1.4.2 and the 2.45 version of the malsup Form plugin. For example, given the following code:
$(document).ready(function() { var options = { dataType: 'json',[code]....
the server receives the submission and handles it without errors, then in the browser I always get the same alert from the processAddressEditSubmitError() function, with an "Invalid JSON" message:
I have made/modifying a script that I can create AJAX objects on the fly. It is working fine in Chrome, FF, Opera, Safari but not IE -.- IE = nightmare
I'm not sure why my ajax is throwing a cross site scripting error. I have a php page that request a page not in my domain. I have another page where my ajax requests the php page, which is in my domain. Then the error is thrown. Since the php page is in my domain, why would the error be thrown?
I'm using jme [URL] to play videos with the new html5 video tag and OGG codec. Works fine - but now I need to have some sort of callback once a video has finished playing. How can I determine when a video has finished playing to take some action? There's a method .isPlaying() which could be used for this but maybe there's a more elegant way.
For some reason the success and error callbacks are not working at all. I'm using jquery.ajax to submit a form w/o page refresh through a php file. I have set the success & error callbacks but even when I changed the mysql password (to a incorrect one) I got the success message [code]...
I'm using getJSON to load data from the database onto a form. How can I specify the success & error callbacks? here's the code I'm using: EDIT: I managed to get the success callback by adding it below the $('fontSize')... but how can I set the error callback?

jquery SVG plugin into my website(Keith Wood) but I can't seem to get any of the plots to be visible. The exact code that I have below; also I should note that I get the error "TypeError: Result of expression '('#svgplot').svg' [undefined] is not a function."

I'm trying to get an upload popup working with the jQuery form plugin[URL].. When I click a link I load a form html from the server and add it to a container div by setting the div's html attribute. I then attach a submit handler to the form so I can call the ajaxSubmit function of the form plugin.
What I noticed is that my error callback is fired every time. MyService.asmx: [WebMethod] public FileInfo[] GetFileInfo(int Id){ Proxies.ServiceRef.ServiceClient c = new Proxies.ServiceRef.ServiceClient(); return c.GetFileInfo(Id).ToArray(); }
The Jquery code where I am getting error: $.ajax({ url: url, data: jsonData, type: "POST", contentType: _I.contentType, timeout: _I.timeout, dataType: "serviceproxy", // custom type to avoid double parse dataFilter: function (jsonString, type) { .....
When I debug using firebug the response is as follows. {"d":[{"__type":"Proxies.AFARServiceRef.AssignmentInfo","ExtensionData": {},"AssignDate":"/Date(1317748587667) /","AssignFileName":null,"ClaimId":"PA026195","ClaimantName":"Rachel Weiss","FirstContactDate":"/Date(1302678000000)/","FirstContactTime":{"Ticks":433800000000,"Days":0,"Hours":12, "Milliseconds":0,"Minutes":3,"Seconds":0, "TotalDays":0.50208333333333333, "TotalHours":12.049999999999999, "TotalMilliseconds":43380000, "TotalMinutes":723,"TotalSeconds":43380},"Id":5257, "InspectionDate":"/Date(1302246000000)/","StatusId":1,"SubmittedCount":5, "UploadedCount":9}]}
I am trying to use the jquery validation plugin with a modal form. When I click the 'Make a booking' button shown below there is no response. I guess there's something about the dom I am missing, which tends to be the case quite often.
I'm using thisjQuery validationEnginebut I'm having a problem validating input fields which are transformed usingJonathan Leighton's datepicker. I need to validate that two dates are the same, so i have a custom callback (validateDOB) to check this. When I run this callback in the firebug console it correctly tests the values against each other, but the callback isn't triggered with the validation engine. I am not sure if i am missing something obvious here. This is the order I load my js files, then my instantiation calls and the callback (see below).
I'm using an .ajax() call to do a jsonp request to another domain. When the user is not logged in, however, the server will return a 401 error. Unfortunately, this causes my .ajax() call to fail _without_ calling the error callback. Is this a known bug? Here is my code:
how can i write a function that accepts a callback function?[URL].. i want myFunction to load some data via(an unordored list actually) load method end then somehow to return the wrapped elements for the callback function, exactly like load() does.
I'm trying to create a "Books I'm Reading" widget using the Readernaut API. I'm using JSON with a callback. This is a portion of what the JSON URL returns:
I'm trying to do some animation designs. Basically where I'm stuck is I have a bunch of things I want to do, but not until the duration of the switchClass method is complete. Looking at the UI documentation site, there doesn't appear to be a callback ability. how I can make a callback on the switchClass?
