View 2 RepliesI'm having issues with jquery and the tabs I'm using. My tabs work but... I want some more functions and that seems to be a big problem for a Javascript and jquery newby.
My HTML:
Code:
<ul class="tabs">
<li>Tab1</li>
<li>Tab2</li>
[Code]....
I really don't know if this is correct but it works! What doesn't work is the active class. If you use one of the buttons in the first tab you go to the right tab but the tab itself has no class called active and that ruins the style.
2)
I also have one other question: lets say that all the above is my second page and I have my frontpage in which I also have buttons. I want somebody to use the button and end up in the third tab of page 2. My link is something like
Code:
page2.html#tab3
I read that using this should lead you the third tab but it's not working for me. You go to the first tab of page 2 instead.
I've been reading a LOT! Jquery for dummies, I googled, read the forum and other forums. I posted on a Dutch forum but no answer. I've added a lot of different code but it doesn't work.
I am trying to assess why the slider that I've linked to in the head tag of my source code will not load properly on my page. My site's link is : [url]

View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to give a code snippet to partnering websites, so that the script on their page draws from a page on my server. I think "quote of the day" type widgets use this.I copied this code from a site and it works for them, but when I switch the url to a php page (containing only text wrapped in a div) on my site, it doesn't work. I realize this might also be a php question, but I didn't want to cross-post. Does it have something to do with the "jscript=1" variable being passed?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to have a text link above Google Maps link to a marker on my map. When the link is clicked, the map will automatically center itself on the marker. I already have the custom markers and locations, I am just not that good with Javascript and jQuery to figure it out.

View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know if it is possible to control UI tabs from an external URL, is this possible?
For example, right now, the ui-tabs-nav list of anchors correspond to the divs automatically. I would like to make the tabs' navigation controllable from a separate draggable modal or popup window so I can drag it to a second monitor and use the main screen on GoToMeeting, to switch tab panels almost like Powerpoint (but more useful.) In advance I want to preempt suggestions that I do something different entirely, like simply make the browser window span two monitors, etc. Easy idea but doesn't work; I've tried it.
I`m using a Coda Slider 2.0, but the only effects available at the moment are the one inside the jquery.easing.1.3.js file. Does anyone know about how to insert other effects, like the traditional fade?
View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen link from first thumbnail there's no transition.. I would like that same effect when link from any other thumbnail.. i.e., fx:'none' when linking from any thumbnail.. looked in FAQ, found examples for linking from external controls, but none to eliminate transition effect when linking from any ext control..
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a couple of problems using jCarousel, and was hoping someone here might lead me to a solution. First of all, can I change the way the External Control function works? I am guessing that I "only" need to edit the javascript file, but having little knowledge of it, I chose not to. What I want to do, is use the External Controls as a pagination, so rather than being a navigation for each image, I would like it to navigate from one page of visible images, to another. More or less, I accomplished it by setting the value inside the <li></ li> to the number I wanted to navigate to.
However, this resulted in ridiculous number always increasing by the number of visible items (have a massive amount of images loaded).
So really, the question is:How can I navigate to a specific image in the carousel using a onclick function? Which brings me to the other problem, the External Controls behave as a list of navigation-buttons. If my carousel shows 500 images, it will generate 500 buttons for navigating. How can I automatically shorten it (as the Pagination Plugin does; [url])? Thinking about it, making such a pagination would be much easier if I knew how to solve the first problem.

I have a set of jqueryui tabs that, when clicked, load in their content dynamically. It works great, except that one of the pages uses a jquery plugin itself. This results in two issues:
- The main page that holds the tabs throws an error when loaded because there is js that refers to elements that haven't loaded yet (those elements are in the external file that contains the code that relies on the plugin).
- If I embed the js that triggers the plugin functionality into the external file, it is outside of the document.ready function from the main page and therefore isn't usable.Basically I am looking for a technique that allows me to ajax load an external html file into the DOM while not crapping out the main page itself because JS that is already there is expecting HTML which is not yet there.
I want to know if any one has used the kind of time slider control
which is used in the google finance.
I need to implement a time slider control of similar sort.plz let me
knw if any body has any information abt it.
I'm using this to change some tabs around. Is there a way to add hashes to the URL too or some way that i can enable back/forward buttons functions and link to a particular tab?
$(document).ready(function(){
$(".buttons").click(function () {
if ($(this).hasClass("current_tab_button")){ //is it the tab that's already displayed

I've followed an online tutorial and successfully created a gallery with a horizontal slide bar using [very specifically] JQuery versions 1.2.6.js and jquery-ui-full-1.5.2.min.js (since otherwise, it does not seem to work).After creating the gallery in the index.html, I decided to put all gallery and slider related scripts into a separate html file to be called with a PHP and ajax script. Here's the problem: While the slider [image] components as well as gallery images [in the slider] loads fine, the slider handler does not work anymore! You can see my problem when you select 'Gallery' from my website. Scroll to the bottom where the horizontal slider is and try moving it. 5%-10% of the time it works, for some odd reason.
I'm not sure what code to show here.. but below are the links I've established to the .js files. With the paths, since the index.html is doing all the calling, I wouldn't have to deal with any '../../*.js' type of paths in order to jump up file levels (this also proven since the images in the gallery are done without '../../' paths).NOTE: ALL of these scripts already work if implemented directly into the index.html. This fails when executed from an external html file
<script src="webpage/scripts/js/jquery-1.2.6.js" type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"></script>
<script src="webpage/scripts/js/jquery-ui-full-1.5.2.min.js" type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="webpage/scripts/js/sliderGallerySetup.js"></script>
I need one checkbox to set about 50 radio groups to "No".
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have three buttons on a typical page (sample page: [URL].. One goes to the previous page, one to the next, and one up a level. Can I link these buttons to 3 arrow keys to simplify navigation for the user? I thought this would be a common task, but I cannot find any canned code on the web to do it. I can code simple html, but don't know javascript.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a complicated page with several submit buttons. I don't want to
create multiple forms because much of the input is shared and the code
is getting very ugly. However I would like to determine which values
will be submited.
Here is a simplified example that may better illustrate my question.
Or maybe there is a better approach...
<SCRIPT language="JavaScript">
function submitform1()
{
document.myform.submit();
}
function submitform2()
{
// logic to submit only name parameter
document.myform.submit();
}
function submitform3()

// logic to submit only address parameter
document.myform.submit();
}
</SCRIPT>
<form name="myform" action="#">
<TABLE>
<TR><TD>Name</TD><TD><input type='text' name='Name'></TD></TR>
<TR><TD>Address</TD><TD><input type='text' name='Address'></TD></TR>

value="submit just name"> </TD></TR>

I have nested tabs in jquery tabs which are pretty simple to do if we want static jquery tabsbut what if we want nested tabs that the remote page should decide what would be the tabs.or in other words i want nested tabs in a remote page (or ajaxified) For example i m calling this page(remote page) through tabs
<div id="container-2">
<ul>
<li><a href="#fragment-1a"><span>Section 1a</span></a></li>

I am using jQuery tabs and when I have very long content within the tabs, my browsers scroll bar reflects the content in the tab with the most content.
Example, "Tab 1" & "Tab 3" has a very long scroll bar, even though it has no content (because of Tab 2) and you can scroll down through the empty space

Is there a way I can hide the content in Tab 2 so that my browsers scroll bar displays correctly in relation to the content in the active tab?
I have a form with two slider on it so the user can select an amount. The slider works fine and passes the values to email ok etc. but when the page is loaded there is "[object Object]" in box of the second slider. I can't find the problem with the code as it is the same for the first slider.
Here is a link to the form: [url]
<script>
I got 2 sliders in a List:
<li data-role="fieldcontain">
<label for="slider_year"><big>Jahr auswählen</big></label>
<input type="range" name="slider_year" id="slider_year" value="2000" min="2000" max="2011" />
[Code]....
Both alerts wont get called...
I know this should be very easy, but i dont get it.
1.I found a Slider Toggle thats demonstrated here [URL] and it seems to work fine but only if the link is placed above the div that slides down.. im trying to make the div slide down from above my menu and i want 1 of the links on my menu to toggle the slider. how do i get it work to where I can place the link below the sliding div? 2. the script originally used .fader{opacity:0;display:none;} but I wanted the slider div to be visible if javascript was disabled so I added
jQuery(".fader").hide(); so its now
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function() {
jQuery(".fader").hide();
$(".fadeNext").click(function(){
$(this).next().fadeSliderToggle()

i am using jquery slider.i need to display the values on mouseover of the slider handle
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have to change the slider color depending on its value, but I didn't manage to do it, I changed the attribute "background" of the class "ui-slider-range" this way : $("#slider.ui-slider-range").css("background","red"); Since I have three states (red, orange and green) I have to use three sliders, each one has one color, all hidden at the beginning then I show the appropriate slider when the value changes.
