I was hoping to get some insight on my problem. Please be patient, as I am new to this.
I have two iframes, "menu" and "register". When a menu item is chosen, the "register" iframe loads up the necessary jsp. However, I can't seem to access any of the links in the "register" iframe - these links are simply displayed as text.
Is there any way to redirect focus to my "register" iframe so that I can access its links?
I've tried stuff like:
top.frames.register.document.all.elementID[0].focus();
top.frames.register.document.focus();
top.frames.info.document.menuItem0.focus(); // where <td id="menuItem0"> ... etc.
When i press tab in my document which has editor it brings focus on editor iframe. Now if i again press tab then the focus goes to send button which is below the editor. But also cursor stays in editor.In such condition if i start typing, then as soon as press space my form is submitted as focus was on send button.
I have an intranet page which has an iframe which links to a number of different possible .NET pages.
In one of the embedded .NET pages (and soon to be others) we want to be
able to capture keystrokes in order to link to other apps. we do this by setting document.onkeydown to a function which handles the various possibilities.
The problem I have is that when the intranet page loads with my .NET page in its iframe, focus is not given to the .NET page, and so in order for the page to capture keystrokes you have to click on the contents of the iframe, which is both clunky and (it seems to me) unnecessary.
How do I automatically give focus to the contents of the iframe when it
loads up? I've tried putting the following script at the bottom of the intranet page itself, but this doesn't seem to work:
I'm working on a site that uses an iframe to load cross domain sites.The problem is that some sites use javascript to say put focus into an input field.I have managed to prevent this by using setInterval that continuously gives focus to an input on my page but this causes the problem of not being able to click into the location bar.So basically, is it possible to to only regain focus when an element inside of the iframe takes focus? Or even just solving the location bar problem with my current solution would also work. (And I have tried things such as applying onfocus events to the iframe element - but they simply don't work because it's not the iframe that's gaining focus, but elements inside of it)
I have this page below which I run locally that is created dynamically: [URL]
I need a piece of javascript to focus on the captcha as shown in the image inside the green box. At this minute I have this which doesn't work all that great for some reason but it gets it to the general area...
As I said this does the job to some extent however it does not leave the focus in a perfect position so that the captcha is readable and the text box visible to type in, as illustrated in the red box in the above image.
The problem is that now I have a div.Field with TinyMce so an iframe inside it.Something like:
<div class="Field"> <iframe> <html>
[code]....
I need to blur the div when the mouse "focus" the iframe body.And of course blur out when it doesn't.How can I add thisfunctionalityto my code?I tried a few changes but none of them worked.
I'm currently making a web application which needs to be fully compatible with iPad. The functions I've implemented so far work perfectly on Firefox, Internet Explorer and other browsers. However, the iPad itself responds a bit different. After a certain action, I want to put focus on a textfield with the help of Javascript. Again, this works perfectly with the normal browser, the iPad browser however seems to be blocking the focus. The reason I'm not posting any code is because it's basically irrelevant. All I do is:
Is there a reason why setting focus to a textbox input, also gives focus to a submit button on the page, to where if you click enter in the text box, the submit button will be clicked.
The default behaviour of focus() method is displaying the cursor at start of the char(In FF focusOffset is 0(zero) and anchorOffset is 0(zero)). I need to display the focus at end of char after calling focus() method.
I think the problem is cause by my lack of understanding of how the browser (firefox 3.6.3) handles focus.A simplified version of my problem is:I've defined the function
function two_focus() { document.getElementById("two").blur();
Is there a way to set the focus on a form field without using focus()? I use ajax to build the form and if I try to set the focus using focus() an error is generate because of the form hasn't been built by ajax. So, it would be nice if I could set the focus() as I built the form.
Is there any way to tell the difference between when this anchor is focused by a user (perhaps by tabbing to it) as opposed to when I programatically do it via anchor_node.focus()?
I'd like to resize an iframe into which different (same domain) pages of differing heights are loaded. I can do a first-time resize no problem. It's the subsequent reloads that need to pass back their height to the parent page There seem to be lots of solutions for that around, but few I can see for resizing each time the iframe reloads. One is described here on another board [URL] but unfortunately the test page is no longer around (or indeed the site), so the full code is no longer available there. This one works, almost, for me: [URL] it does resize for me, but not quite sufficiently high each time - about 90% of what is required: [URL] Is there a way to add on sufficient extra margin that scrollbars no longer appear?
Is there a way to resize an iframe dynamically so that you never get the scroll bar and essentially hide that there is an iframe? Better integration really.Basically I want to iframe a forum into my site so that the design down the sides and top which my friend does using iweb are not messed with.We have a central area which can be longer or shorter depending on the forum.
I have a page A and inside it I have an iframe B. B points to another php file that shows a form (so basically in the iframe we see a form). When I submit the form, I call to another page C that verifies the fields of the form and if they are ok I redirect to page X, if not I redirect to page Y. The problem is that I see page X and Y inside the iframe, and I want to see them in the parent page.
I have a page that displays in an iframe. How to get the index of the iframe in the parent window in which my page is getting displayed using javascript.
HTML Code: <html> <iframe src="A.html"></iframe> <iframe src="B.html"></iframe> <iframe src="C.html"></iframe> </html>
if I run the javascript from B.html then I should get the iframe position as 2. same way, if I run the javascript from C.html then I should get the iframe position as 3.
I have a web page which will display another web page in an iframe. But the content inside the iframe may change while the user interacts with it so I need to be able to resize the iframe height from code on the page inside the iframe. Any tips on how I can do that? I am using php and javascript.
How would i go abouts putting a javascript code into a hidden iframe and then have it update new messages to another frame if there is a new message?
By message i mean it checks the database for a new message ( this is for a chat ) Its the javascript im not sure how to set up... If someone could point me in the right direction thatd be great.
