If Click The Add Button, Get A "correct" Answer In The Div With A Green Background And If Hit The Multiply Button The Div Should Say "wrong" With A Red Background?
Jul 28, 2011
I need to have three text boxes, user will enter a number in each box.Then i have four buttons, add, subtract, divide and multiply.When i click on each button, the numbers in the first two text boxes should match the answer in the third text box.ex. (first box has a 4, second box has a 4, and the third box has an 8. if i click the add button, i should get a "correct" answer in the div below with a green background and if i hit the multiply button the div should say "wrong" with a red background.
Code:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

I have built a webpage that is all one template and the use of an iframe to change the content and not reload the page graphics every time. The way the page is laid out is a background image in the farthest back table behind another table of a background image that is transparent and over lays the bottom table image.
I want the menu buttons; with the existing rollover image for them alone, to change the bottom layer background image "on click". The only code sources i have found will swap images in the same table area and not to any image existing in the entire document.

I am trying to do the following.
While the background color of a div is changing when i click on a button, the image in the other div must change.
Now i have placed a bg image in a div and when i click on my menu link it changes so that works, but i would love to give it a transition, but is that even possible with the background image.
Or do i need to write some other code?
The colors and images change, but really would love a bounce in transition, cant figure it out though maybe it would be better with a list and placing the images just in the slider div?

I am trying to make a button that would change the background image of the whole document whenever somebody clicks it. I have tried something along the lines of this:
Quote: <input type="button"
value="Pattern1"
onClick="background-image: url(background.png);background-repeat: no-repeat;">
and,
Quote: <input type="button"
value="Pattern2"
onClick="background: url(background.png);background-repeat: no-repeat;">
My assumption to why it doesn't work is that I am combining javascript with CSS, but I am most likely wrong.

I have a button with a class name as below:
<input type="button" class="test" value="Add" onclick=Dothis(this);>
class test
{
background-image: url("test.png");
}
I would like to disable the button when clicked
function Dothis (element)
{
element.disabled = 'true';
}
This is working fine (i'm seeing it as disabled(grayedout)) when i wont set any class. But when i set the class to "test" i'm not seeing any change.

I want to put a button on a website that when clicked changes the background. The button needs to be an image. For example, click on the image and it makes the background image1 and then click again to switch to background image2. The image/button that is being clicked will be 2 images (one says "turn lights on" then when clicked shows other image "turn lights off")
I have managed to pick up bits of code from the net that change the background and got another code that makes 2 images a toggle button. The button changes the background on the first click but no back again on the second click.

I found the following code which works for different cells but it doesn't work when the buttons are in the same cell. Think you'll see what i mean. I'm not too hot when it comes to Javascript though so i don't know how to adapt what I've got so far. Code:

I have a script that controls the backgroundcolourof a page by clicking on the respective linkassociatedwith that background colour ie background color 1=> click link 1 etc
However i want to change the script so that a single universal button/link can replace the need for having a dedicated link to load itsassociatedbackground colour. Heres is the current code which uses a link to change the background;

Alright so for a school assignment I need to create a button with the name of the color it is going to turn the background to. the assignment says nothing about naming the buttons the hex numbers for the color therefore: I was curious if someone could show me how to create a button in java script that would generate a random hex number for a color ie: #+()+()+()+()+()+() and the text shown on the button would be the same as the hex number generated.

I'm fairly new to JS and definitely new to jQuery, altough I've finished courses on both at an on-line training provider. The textboxes occurring a DOM and when rendered, take the form of a div with an inner part <input>:
<div tabIndex="-1" style="left: 140px; top: 200px; width: 200px;
position: absolute;" parent="Content_collapsibleSection181972">
<input name="Product[0].Submission Information[0].GMAC Submission data[0].Named Insured Info[0].Gm Named Insured" tabIndex="9" title="
"class="textboxitem required" style="width: 200px;"
onfocus=" var returnValue=false; cngBgrnd();
if(returnValue==true){return returnValue;}" onblur=" var returnValue=false
returnValue=remBgrnd(); if(returnValue==true){return returnValue;}"
type="text" size="18" maxLength="50" rrcID="textbox182118"
error_msg="null" field_name="Insured Name" field_required="true"
parent="Content_collapsibleSection181972" value="LeftNavTest"/>
The issue I'm having it converting a CSS Expression to jQuery. The CSS Expression takes the form of:
.textboxitem {
background-color: expression(this.disabled ? '#C0C0C0' : this.field_required == 'true' ? '#FFD88E' : '#F8F8F8');
border: 1px solid #999;font-family: Tahoma, sans-serif;
font-size: 11px;
height: 19px;
overflow: hidden;
color: black;
}
I'm trying to capture the following possible values and assign the correct background color ...
<input class="textboxitem required">
<input class = "textboxitem disabled required">
Constraints: I do not want to imbed the jQuery in the DOM, but rather add the function(s) to an existing JS file.

I have a site I am working on that I did not build and am having problems with an ajax / javascript call.I was hoping someone with firebug could take a look. I have firebug but I am not a js guy.The big green button that says add to quote list is a link with an image BG. It should swap classes when clicked therefore changing the BG image to a red one as well as the text at the very top right of the screen swapping to add a number to the list of items in the quote list.Sometimes it works... I think only the first time it is clicked, sometimes the text in the top right changes but the image does not etc. If you click it and it does nothing but the refresh the page then the class will change which is weird, it's like it's trying to switch but cant until you reload the page.

Once the user has chosen a spot to put the graphic, how do I save the background image of the t-shirt with the image they dropped in the correct spot? Like, to merge the two graphics in place?

I am trying to produce a web form to allow wedding guests to RSVP. The form allows them to enter a name and select from a radio button whether they will be attending or not. If they select the "yes" radio button then a further pair of radio buttons are displayed for their meal preference.
They can then click a submit button or they can click another button to add another line for another guest which operates in exactly the same way. I've almost got this working, but it seems that the checkbox change handler is lost for the current guest when a new guest is added and the checkbox value is reset. I've got a feeling I'm doing something stupid but can't for the life of me figure out what.
Code (source file (renamed to .txt) also attached as I'm not sure the pasted code is too clear):

What happens is that when I click on a button, a random string from the RandomString variable appears below the button. e.g I click on the button and it displays 'AAB' and then if I click on the button again it may display 'AAE' and etc.
The problem is that sometimes it displays 'undefined'. I don't wanit 'undefined' to appear but why does it sometimes display 'undefined' rather than a Random string.
Below is the code:
