View 2 RepliesI was saw somewhere how to block access to a web site according to someone's IP number.
I have a guy who is harrasing me since we are competitors and I don't want him accessing my business site from his home, or his work.
I have his IP numbers from both locations through e-mails he has sent me in the past.
Anybody know how to do this? If I remember correctly, I think it was a javascrip that had the ability to accomplish this.
PHP creates a dynamic number of tables, each table is given and id="tableX" where X increases. However I have other tables where there is no id set. [code]...

Its not a true search as it is simply relying on a person entering the correct html page name to find it. But this works perfectly in my application.The problem I have is that I cannot get the type box to accept enter key as a submitt, only a click of the mouse will submitt the request. If enter is pressed the box loses the users input but no action is taken.I think this may be a javascript issue. I have posted the code below.

I want to print a html page which has contents wrapped in several div tags. I need to insert page break after each div tag and the page numbers need to start from one, after each page break. I could insert page break using the following java script code.
var allDivs = document.all.tags("div");
for (i=0; i<allDivs.length; i++) {
allDivs(i).style.pageBreakAfter = "always";
}
But the page number is continuous. How can I change the page number for each pagebreak?
I'm a WYSIWIG developer who can poke around in the code, modify existing scripts, etc. I need to prevent any user from loading a page twice, so they can only access a prize code one time. Setting a cookie is the first thing that comes to mind, which can be worked around by the motivated useras to other ways to block the user from accessing the page more than once? Something other than Javascript a better choice? Keep in mind my ideal solution is an existing bit of code that I can modify to my needs.
View 3 Replies View Relatedjust needed to know this because I'm setting the path of the cookie and the path on my browser isn't matching what I set it as.
var the_cookie="file_address~"+x+";path=gallerylogin.php";
...it still doesn't set it so "gallerylogin.php" can access it.
I have a main page with a folio div that is hidden. I'm using jQuery to unhide AND load that div with an external file (keeps the main page file size low). Now that I have the external file loaded into the div, there is a link to a jQuery lightbox image gallery.
However, that jQuery call is unable to access the code and launch the slideshow. I've tried placing the <script> tags on the loaded file as well to no avail. Are there any solutions, or can an external file not pass jQuery calls to its host page?
I want to redirect my user to an alternate page if javascript is disallowed on their browser. Is there a way to do this ?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm attempting to design my first 'just-watch-it' canvas show, which fills in randomly each time you click start. Doing pretty well, but this is where I'm stumped:
I have an array of 10,000 coordinate pairs = absolute positions on my canvas. I have this monster array on its own 'page.js' and used a <link src="template.js .. to link it in the head of my 'canvas.html'
How do I instruct my script to make a working copy of it? I don't want to manipulate the template array, but my script needs to make a clone of it ...as what? a variable? an object? I don't know what functions to use. This clone will be manipulated and have indices removed one by one as areas are filled in on the canvas.
my template.js just reads:
canvasTemplate = ['H0V0',..................,'H99V99']
Do I need to identify as an element differently so jQuery can locate it?
Each time you click for a new 'show' it needs to run a function of cashing a fresh copy of this array to operate on.
Is it possible to block the entire page but then override certain divs with an unblock command? Basically, I want to implement the block function when someone clicks the submit button on a form but if they have missed a question then unblock just this question div so it's nice and clear that's the one they need to correct?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI know this is a Java Script fourum but since VB and Java are so closely related I thought I would look for some help here. Anyway I am running MSAccess Data Access Pages and need to know if I can open a new browser window from a page created by a parameter query? In breif here is my problem. I used the "Image Control" to bind 6 photos via a Parameter Query with the drive path to each photo stored in a table. So far this works great and the co-workers are impressed. However the photos (Thumbnails) are small and it would be great if I could use the "Image Control's" (on-click) event to open a new widow so as to see a larger image of the photo. As an interim solution I am using the Hyperlink control, however when you click on it the photo opens in the same window and when you click IE's Back arrow the Parameter query prompts the user for the value again. All this could be avoided if the Image control (or hyperlink) could open a new window (with the photo of course), and when finished merely close it. The script
<script language=vbscript for=Image0 event=onclick>
<!--
window.open.
-->
</script>
does nothing without the correct href which I don't know since that information is coming from the parameter query.
I've made this javascript portion to a site for a company that I am working for and I'd like to use it to fill in a form on another part of the website. Unfortunately we bought the rest of the website from basically like a web template company so they wont let us change the script on that actual page. Is there anyway that I can take my info from my javascript page, then use it to fill in the info on the other page without actually editing the html of that page?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI would like to be able to access the raw CSS code that has been loaded for the specific page. I'm not looking to change the code (I know how to use jQuery for CSS manipulation etc...) I just want to parse through it and extract some useful information.I considered just loading the stylesheet references in the page, then placing a request to the server for the .css file, but this feels messy even if the browser happens to have the page cached from having just requested it.Has anyone got a clue as to how one would go about this? As always, I think its best if it uses jQuery XD, however, I just really want to get this done
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn phase of my deployment I send the user a window from a servlet and inorder to communicate with an applet already loaded in another window in the browser I thought I could set the window.opener.location="${formbean.property}"; and it partly works, it get set, I see the new window flash, but it then executes that url. Two questions?
1. setting the window.opener.location in an onLoad() should not force a post back to the server, correct? I am just trying to keep that window I want up there and set an internal property so I can access the applet in the other window. Trying to make this "synthetically" a child of that page opened with the applet so I can call the applets methods simply.
2. Is there another way for a new browser window to directly access an applet in another page? I could go the route of making a probe applet and hoping they share the same JVM, (JRE1.6.0.25) access it that way. Is/how that the way to do it?
I am currently developing a page which allows access to music on a server. This music is being streamed, but users are also able to download this music (assuming they have the license to do so). All of the music uploaded is of the .mp3 format, however they have no filetype extensions, and were not named using any particular naming convention. Because of this, I was hoping to change the filename (when a downloaded is initiated) to variables I have stored based on the current song.
I am currently simply opening a new page, in Chrome is looks like this: chrome.tabs.create({ "url": song.url })
Hit presents the user with a prompt to save the file, however, its default name is a random alphanumeric string with no extension, as per their file name on my server. Is there an easy way to do this without renaming all the music server side? I do have the variables song.title and song.artist setup!
Edit: Since this page is only for Chrome users, I listed the code I am using. I understand window.open and was originally using this. It functions the same, and if I need to revert back to using is instead, I shall.

I'm trying to create a feature similar to facebooks "like" system.
I have a page with peoples posts in, and when someone clicks on "like", I want to first run the query to insert a new like into the database, then reload just the number of likes, without refreshing the entire page.
I know this way is harder but I want it to work without reloading everything. Here's what I have so far:
function for like (reverse engineered, might be completely wrong..)
function like(){
$('#postoptions').load('php_files/likecount.php');
}
postoptions.php
[Code]....
I know that at the moment there is no query to add an entry to the database when clicking on the like link, but I'm not too sure how to put it. I tried putting this:
$addLike = "INSERT INTOlike (username, postid) VALUES ('$username','$postid')";
$run = mysql_query($addLike) or die(mysql_error());
but because the posts are loaded with a while loop, clicking like on one made me like all of them on that page.
I though reloading the "likecount.php" page would reload the count for the page?
I have a number of elements on a page, which I want to remove. The number changes depending on the number of the results,ie. div Id like result1, result2, result3 etc.Is there a way for me to find out the number of items called resultX or is there a way for me to search through all ID's like result ?

View 12 Replies View RelatedMy requirement: Each time a visitor arrives at a specific webpage i want the main image on the page to be different, or more specifically, one of 6 images which will be shown in rotation. Solution: Set a cookie. Each time the visitor access the page read the cookie and display the corresponding image. Then increment the value and rewrite the cookie, so that next time they'll see the next image in sequence. NB: if the cookie does not exist (first timer) or is at 6, then the value is set to zero (and then incremented).
Problem: Can't get my coding to work. Specifically it just doesn't do anything - no error message, no cookie written. I'm a very novice scripter, as in I've cobbled the coding together from bits off the net that i think i've managed to grasp some kind of an understanding of. Very suck it and see - so far lots of sucking and no seeing!
